Why would you fight for such a corrupt cause? Go out and get a JOB!
The world isn't black and white, 1% is black, 1% is white, while 98% is grey.
What these people want has NOTHING to do with socialism. They want a fair chance and more social responsibility.
That has nothing to do with communism or socialism - although some polititshians and Tea-party activists yelling something different.
Say yes to frosted butts.
already long ago said no to socialism. Getting a job in a rigged casino corporate oligarchy is signing up to be a slave. We want genuine democracy. obvious troll is obvious.

Just say no to Right Wing Conservatism. That's what got us here. It's your fault.
Has nothing to do with xxxism...
Though more and more people have realized the injustice of the society, and protested, most still don't know what is the right way. voice, if diverse, will be weakened and hardly be effective. so, here, we suggest a possible way for your consideration.
People's voice should be consistently like this:
1) To the government and the capitalists: you are elits and were granted the capital and power based on our trust on you. However you abuse your wisdom for gathering your own wealth; you abuse your power and military force for maintaining your governing. So, you have no right anymore to control the capital and materials, and to lead the army. You should either whole-heartedly serve the people, or give up and let those who have a higher wisdom as well as mercy to lead us and control the capital.
2) To all the monopoly : you should give up the aim of pursuing maximum profits, and change the aim into minimizing the costs and the labor time but should not fire the workers or reduce the payment for the reason of improved productivity and reduced costs. the enterprises are not yours, but us all human beings. If you feel reluctant to serve us all, you should leave your position and let all the people to chose the managers of the enterprises.
3) To all the citizens on the Earth: We should be united. We should all be benevolent and selfless, should advocate virtue and high spiritual pursuit. We should make the global enlightment and the global material and spiritual freedom our common goal and struggle for it whole-heartedly.
Say YES to communism.
A job is a form of socialism. When I go out to work, society rewards me with pay based on the value of the service I am providing. A free market is how we regulate this socialist ideal. The problem is not that these people do not want to work. It is that they want to work, but because of finical debt burdens to the global economy, no place can hire because instead of using money to finance growth and job creation it is being used to pay off debt. Then the finical community points to social programs as the reason why the debt is so high, cut spending, pushing more people out if jobs, creating more social needs, causing wages to drop as their is less supply for jobs, and more demand for finding work, increasing their profits on the publics loss if earning potential. And never do we talk about cutting national defense budgets because if those evil terrorist. Never do we discuss cutting thevwar on drugs. Never do we discuss cutting corporate welfare programs. And we, the tax payers, are force to bail out their institutions when if we fall behind on our businesses they seize all if our assets.
This is not rocket science. This is basic market fundamentals. No conspiracy here. This is reality.
The present system of capitalism is sick, because many are not sharing in the profit and they carry much of the suffering. The cure for sick capitalism is socialism or capitalism sharing the wealth on their own. Either the people unite through the government and create jobs or the capitalist creates jobs. So, yes, the people want jobs. Give us jobs and health care.
A famous American once said this, "There is no room in our hearts for hate, except for the system, the social system in which it is possible for one man to amass a stupendous fortune doing nothing, while millions of others suffer and struggle and agonize and die for the bare necessities of existence."
This isn't an attack on the rich. There is nothing wrong with being rich. There is a problem with being rich and stealing from the poor. There is a problem with few people controlling the wealth, and to that end there is a problem when those who control the wealth are not helping their country and society progress.
David Walker, former US Comptroller General and chief of the GAO, warned before the 2004 election that if large economic changes were not made, by 2009 the United States and its taxpayers would not be able to afford the interest payments on the national debt. A study authorized by the US Treasury in 2001 found that in order to keep servicing the debt at its current rate of growth, by 2013 income taxes would need to be raised to 65%. If the United States cannot afford to pay the interest on its debts, that would be the final stage of economic collapse and hence result in a total textbook bankruptcy. The systematic crisis would in turn spread to the rest of the world.
How did this happen? Why is the US national debt $14,819,350,000+? Of the 203 countries in the world today, only four (!) do not owe others money. The collective external debt of all the governments in the world is now above 40 trillion dollars and this number doesn’t include the massive about of household debt in each country.
The whole world is basically bankrupt. But how? How can the world as a whole owe money to itself? Obviously, it’s all nonsense. There is no such thing as ‘money’. There are only planetary resources, human labor and human ingenuity. The monetary system regulated by Federal Reserve is nothing more than a game… and an outdated and dysfunctional one at that. Those in positions of social power alter the rules of the game, at will. The nature of those rules is guided by the same competitive, distorted mentalities that are used in everyday “monetary” life, only this time the game is rigged at its root to favor those who run the show. For example, if you have 1 million dollars and put it into a CD at 5% interest, you are going to generate $50,000 a year simply for that deposit. You are making money off of money itself… paper being made from other paper … nothing more - no invention - no contribution to society – no nothing. That being denoted, if you are a lower to middle class person, who is limited in funds, and must get interest based loans to buy your home or use credit cards, then you are paying interest to the bank, which the bank is then using, in theory, to pay the person’s return with the 5% CD! Not only is this equation outrageously offensive due to the use of usury (interest) to ‘steal from the poor and give to the rich’, but it also perpetuates class stratification by its very design, keeping the lower classes poor, under the constant burden of debt, while keeping the upper classes rich, with the means to turn excess money into more money, with no labor. That reality aside, there are other games in the system which have worked for decades, but are just now starting to bloom into the inevitable mathematic disasters that should have been anticipated 100 years ago. The point is, our system is broken. Simple policy change will not solve our debt problem. We need to alter the governmental paradigm if we wish to repay our debt. We need to end the Federal Reserve Board.
This is not a liberal or conservative issue. This is a matter of upholding the Constitution. Congress gave over the power of the purse in 1913 to a quasi-public-private bank called the Federal Reserve which manipulates global currencies. This is wholeheartedly unconstitutional, and at this point it's become immoral. We must act now.
Couldn't agree more! :)
I have a job and I am sick of seeing millions paid to a few and most of us struggling to make ends meet
Envy will make you rich?
The way I see it, they are fighting the influence of corporations in our government. That's the main point. Beyond that, OccupyWallStreet has supporters on the right, left, and in-between. Most appear to be objecting to crony capitalism.
