Someone posted about the Summer of Justice. Looks great. After reading through too much verbiage these are the demands or issues that will be promoted at that event. We should consider aligning.

Seven issues in America today that need to be addressed

1) Tax the rich and corporations

2) End the wars, bring the troops home, cut military spending

3) Protect the social safety net, strengthen Social Security and improved Medicare for all

4) End corporate welfare for oil companies and other big business interests

5) Transition to a clean energy economy, reverse environmental degradation

6) Protect worker rights including collective bargaining, create jobs and raise wages

7) Get money out of politics

I support these 7 objectives – They are fairly clear, fairly measurable, and would make a huge difference.

I think there should be two or three overarching broad goals that tie the movement and the diverse groups together and then the above objectives are what we all work toward that help us achieve the long term goals.

Proposed Goal 1- Increase the fairness of the tax code and other policies to better support the middle class, the safety net, and the economy

Proposed Goal 2 - Protect our health and our environment from corporate greed

Proposed Goal 3 – Prevent corporate political influence and restore political power to the people

All 7 objectives or issues relate to these three goals. I’m concerned like many others that want to get involved that without clear goals and objectives we will not make significant gains. I’ll be down on Thursday and plan to participate. Thanks to everyone taking action.

How to end money in 1 generation;

If you can make pasta, you can boil milk solids. This resin can be made into http://www.reprapcentral.com/ & made more efficient with http://www.arduino.cc/ & some computer skills, & it's free since it's open-source. There are groups who will help you create a Reprap. From this 3-D Printer, you can make plates, utensils, sandals toys & any other premade form you find on the open-source net. Finally, you can then make the parts for an aqua-culture fish farm basin & hydroponics vegetable, or sustainable food production. Then a water catch & filtration system, (ever have a pool, not much more complicated). A little wind & or solar tech to power it all, built into an http://www.earthship.org/ (which is a sustainable home made from reused/recycled materials) All we need are cows, silicon, fish, seeds, old tire yards, (i'll be honest, i don't know how solar works, but i can make electricity with magnets). The point is, Off the Grid, Sustainability, is possible & cheaper, because it's open-sourced. This is the backbone of a new civilization, one that doesn't need money, politics, corporations, religion, poverty or war. Imagine, what would this do for the welfare state? & how this kind of "Welfare-to-work" program, could get people off the dole, forever! We as a society, could then recreate our education systems, so that they focused, on early development of the Trivium & Quadrivium, before High School. Then, in high school, each child would be ready to create that which i described above. Imagine now, that each child, had the knowledge of creating & maintaining their own sustainable, off the grid home, before they went off to college?

The Truth does exist, & it is Knowable. & the Truth is, we can create the Paradigm Shift, ourselves, by unleashing these weapons of mass creation.

I will add to that list the goal of lowering the cost of higher education.

Clear goals are key if this movement should bare fruit, and I believe your list here encompasses the majority of our discontentedness. I'm leaving it everywhere. Thank you for the distillation.

I agree with a few, but making demands toward a system that has already failed you is pointless, we need BIGGER change

[-] 1 points by LOVEPEACE (199) 12 years ago

Agreed. Focus on ONE thing. PEACE. DEMAND PEACE. Everything else will follow. Violent domination is the problem. We are all enslaved by it. The people that enforce the rigged system make war and kill millions of people and we think they are just going to change it so they aren't allowed to do that anymore? That is the PURPOSE of the system you are attempting to reform. Let them keep their blood money. REFUSE WAR. Demand Peace. PEACE is prosperity. No need to worry about the details. In a peaceful environment that will fall in line naturally. EVERYONE will be happy to participate when they are FREE.

"No need to worry about the details. "

the mind worries over detail that is a survival instinct

[-] 1 points by LOVEPEACE (199) 12 years ago

Well if you want to survive this change you will need to listen to your heart.

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 12 years ago

I was thinking about that when I heard

.

the fed gives banks low interest loans which then turn around buy federal bonds

that yield higher interest than the original loans

.

this imbalance made my head hurt

[-] 1 points by LOVEPEACE (199) 12 years ago

It's intended to confuse. If everyone KNEW it was rigged no one would participate in it at all. But then that's why we have a huge police state and military.. Just in case you decided to think to much there's always the threat of violence to keep your support.

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 12 years ago

that is why we can not use violence to bring about change

if we use violence as a tool, we condone it's use

and the violent will be allowed to come back into power

SPOT ON brother. Man people are waking up. It is awesome. PEACE!
