Supercapitalism was a concept that developed in Italian Fascism.[1] Italy's Fascist leader, Benito Mussolini, claimed that at the stage of supercapitalism, "a capitalist enterprise, when difficulties arise, throws itself like a dead weight into the state's arms. It is then that state intervention begins and becomes more necessary. It is then that those who once ignored the state now seek it out anxiously." http://tiny.cc/416lv

Hey guys, I'm an Occupy Wall Street artist and I would like to invite you to my Occupy Wall Street art show called SPANK THE BULL: AN OCCUPY WALL STREET MANIFESTO, which is in the form of an Interactive Theatre.

You can view my art show by going to...

By the way, do you know why the Tea Party won't join us, because they are the 1%.

I doubt everyone in the Tea Party would qualify as being in the 1%, I would wager (although I can't say for sure) that maybe 5% of them are.

Wow...that's heavy.

Yeah, Fascism may have been a problem in Italy, but at least the corporatized trains ran on time! (LoL!)

[-] 1 points by truthandhealth (13) 12 years ago

I hope that does not happen to us.

As opposed to representing a possible future, I think it accurately represents the system of capitalism we currently have.

To address this problem, I think we must break this chain of events from happening in the first place, ie. the enterprises shouldn't be able to throw themselves like a dead weight into the state's arms. We have to structure the government in such a way where the state is non-responsive to the ills of business. Corporations must get by on their own merit without using the apparatuses of the taxpayer funded State as crutches and we must change the behavior of risk-taking, where the State cannot be in a position to bear the costs of business decisions gone awry.
