The most important thing OWS can do is present a case and do it persuasively.
That means educating yourselves, and eachother, so that you aren't dismissed as dullards with nothing better to do. A lot of people are trying to do that....DON'T LET THEM. You have attracted a lot of attention. USE IT.

We the People wage war against the multinational corporate lobbyists who have assumed control of our government.
We the People wage war against the Federal Reserve for unconstitutional manipulation of currencies, both foreign and domestic. .
We the People will not give up until our goals are achieved.
We the People will continue educate our fellow countrymen on these issues.
We are a movement against the current political paradigm.
We are a movement for, of, and by the American populous and constitution.
We do not align ourselves with any politician.
We are the politicians.
We are Vox Populi.
We do not forget.
I think people would take this more seriously if your screen name didn't start with "fuck".
Just sayin'.
prolly. get past the name and focus on the words.
Sure, I have no problem doing that, but you're not going to persuade as many people if the first word they see coming out of your virual mouth is fuck.
Campaign Finance Reform
It strikes to the core of the corporatism problem while not alienating participating factions through over specificity.

I dunno.....I mean, yeah, absolutely, but the Supreme Court just ruled that corporations can make unlimited donations to political candidates....the Supreme Court has been really cracked, lately. That's been pretty scary, for me. They are not trustworthy, anymore, and that makes America less safe.
Which is why this issue should be adopted as the central demand of the movement. It brings a populist demand to a largely disregarded issue.
I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm saying I don't even think it's possible, anymore.
It is if the movement adopts it as a central theme. Populist demand for a return to political sovereignty. If it is not made a demand of the masses, then NOTHING will ever change.
You may have a point. Without valid elections, the show's over.
Will you repost the message? Take credit...I don't care. View through the link.

Well said.
I think the lack of a common straight forward list of demands allows people to interject their personal and at times confused perspectives, making our cause appear that much murkier. To me we the 99%ers are those that have no voice in this country. It doesn't matter if you are a Republican, Independent, Democrat, Tea Partier, believe in Socialism or Capitalism. Contrary to what we believe none of us actually has a voice in this country. We have been taught to believe that if we elect our respective parties into power that our goals and ideas will be done. Well guess what people, it won’t. The only people in this country with a voice are the 1%ers and they have no allegiance to any specific political party!
Who are the 1%ers you may ask? Well I say they are the large corporations and special interest groups who TRULY run this country. They are the groups of individuals who spend millions upon millions of dollars each year to convince YOUR congressman, YOUR senator, and YOUR President to do what best suits them regardless as to what's in the best interest of the rest of the 99% of this country.
Think about it, the root of every problem we face as a country regardless as to political beliefs boils down to who's willing to pay the most money to see their agenda done. So until we fix this system of legalized BRIBERY also known as lobbying this country will never ever be the place we dreamed that it could be.
Oh and if you don't believe me, ask yourself when was the last time you tracked down your congressman or senator in the capital between meetings and offered up a large sum of money in order to see a piece of legislation passed that best interested you?
agreed, but, clearly the message needs to get itself focused.
we need open source direct democracy think tanks to build that message.. and a wiki and sub forums to organize it.
I'm looking for any techie who will put up a wiki and sub forums that i can trust...
creating a strong message requires strong organization.
