Creating a top stories feature would be a good move. The top comments has kind of turned into a popularity contest of sorts.

The top 32 Super PAC donors, giving an average of $9.9 million each, matched the $313.0 million that President Obama and Mitt Romney raised from all of their small donors combined—that’s at least 3.7 million people giving less than $200. Nearly 60% of Super PAC funding came from just 159 donors contributing at least $1 million.  More than 93% of the money Super PACs raised came in contributions of at least $10,000—from just 3,318 donors, or 0.0011% of the U.S. population. It would take 322,000 average-earning American families giving an equivalent share of their net worth to match the Adelsons’ $91.8 million in Super PAC contributions. Super PACs accounted for more than 60% of outside spending reported to the FEC. For the 2012 cycle, Super PACs received more than 70% of their funds from individuals, and a significant percentage (12%) from for-profit businesses.

Forum Post: Compiling Lists of Facebook Groups for Action Notification Posted 2 days ago on April 4, 2013, 8:18 a.m. EST by OTP (-278) from Tampa, FL This content is user submitted and not an official statement

Would anyone be interested in creating a list, of their homestate, of all the different political groups on facebook? The lists could be used for promoting actions by all here. Facebook was no doubt the leading mover when things got going in 09/11. People were interested, they were curious, and they came out. There's lots of things like that can be done online like this that furthers the ability to create integrated campaigns. We can all talk to each other about political parties and issues until we are blue in the face, but until it turns into movement, its just that- talking.

Anyone down?

it's on the to do list towards top of this post

[-] 2 points by gsw (3420) from Woodbridge Township, NJ 11 years ago

I support that but its in committee http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/113/hjres29

And they give it low prognosis for making to floor.

But we should sign petition, mails our representatives and possibly if congress goes to dems in future.

Peace

It is at top of this page too. Never give up.

As long as the Rs control the house -
and therefore the house committees -
it will be hard to move this forward -
that is why we need to vote for PRO-99% electable candidates

Thank you very much for gathering and sharing these bills that deserve our support. I just emailed my reps for HR29.

And Look forward to requesting their support on all these populist issues. Thank you very much!

[-] 2 points by Middleaged (5140) 11 years ago

I enjoyed it. Hope none of the bills get rewritten by Lobbyist at the last minute.

I looked at them and think they sound good. Harry Reid's bill looks like something the whole country would want.

I saw some other bills that are ambiguous. Hard to say what bills titled to change Regulations or Change Regulatory behavior are really intended to do.

[-] 1 points by gsw (3420) from Woodbridge Township, NJ 11 years ago

They can always slip something in at the last minute, I don't know what we can do, but she'd light on it.

It is pretty intense reading the bills, I was seeking section 735 in the appropriations bill, which allows GMO foods, whiich are scary ... Now thatis stuff of dust pain science fiction, now reality.

Important, and valuable list. excellent effort.

Perhaps the "official" OWS "News articles" should always be at the top as well.

Either way this is a great compilation, thanks.

Did you determine what is added by numbers of comments alone?

[-] 2 points by gsw (3420) from Woodbridge Township, NJ 11 years ago

Robinhood Tax is on top of page now. Good Issuen to popularize, as you have been last two years. Good tenacity

[-] 2 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

Looks like a great protest. I believe I got it through NOW!

[-] 1 points by gsw (3420) from Woodbridge Township, NJ 11 years ago

Just brief look of most commented, maybe too like GKs post on tax sheltered 37 trillion leaked, was going to be big.

Good thought on official news at top. Usually people can just utilize news button.

And for breaking stuff, see what's new in archive.

If there ....are any good tools or links you get lots of articles and info, any sources you think could go in tools section.

[-] 2 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

Right. Ok. thanks.

Well done.

[-] 2 points by gsw (3420) from Woodbridge Township, NJ 11 years ago

another way to search current popular topics and political information tools

send me link of good resource, Maybe I'll update new post every few days, if anyone finds this of use

mostly current higher comment posts of last few days, and some categorized posts

this may be helpful for a newcomer to peruse, before jumping in
