There's a great app for the iPhone called Drync. You can aim the phone at the bar code on a bottle and it will give you average prices and reviews. Very handy when wandering around the wine section without having to get some snippy sommelier to tell you that you don't know oaky from plummy.

I suppose they have it for Android but I don't think many 'droid heads worry too much about wine. :)

Thanks for the app tip. I will check into it.

The only AP you're in need of is a SL-AP ! ;-)

Best post on here so tonight! Couvent Des Jacobins Bourgogne 2009 and Cotes Du Rhone 2007.

[-] -1 points by DunkiDonut2 (-108) 12 years ago

Describe the taste. Where does it lean toward?

[-] -1 points by Tinhorn (285) 12 years ago

Cotes is very smooth and light. Not overly sweet. Bourgogne is a little heavy but with a nice steak is great.

I had a Cakebread Friday night and loved it.

[-] -1 points by Tinhorn (285) 12 years ago

I'll have to try it.

A great cheese to go with it is Jarlsberg.

[-] -1 points by DunkiDonut2 (-108) 12 years ago

OMG. I may go buy a bottle tonight. Sounds great.

[-] -1 points by Tinhorn (285) 12 years ago

Yeah, you have really made me think about why I didn't drink them this weekend. I have one of each in my wine rack.

Average of 84.3 points in 8 community wine reviews. Thank you.
