Forum Post: Hello - Where Is Everybody?

Sooo....is there any function to this site anymore? There is little discussion, no real events posted, is it just a dummy site now to keep the cops pacified that they scared us off with their serious hacking skills or am I getting the filtered version? I know a person or two that can do that, leave site intact but cause pared down site and functions to go to specific computers or groups. And I don't really care to LED anything. I guess there are no other actions or philosophies we espouse anymore. Woe is us.

Hello,PL-I will be coming down to NYC to attend the Left Forum May 29-31 and the person who was supposed to come with can't come.Don't know quite yet if I can make it for Friday-but Saturday I'll be there for sure. This site appears to still be having a variety of problems.Stay in touch if you want to go to Left Forum 'cause I can get you in for free and buy you LUNCH.

After I posted I couldn't get back on and frankly gave up. Thank you for the offer! Predominant actions here have supported BLM and touch marginally on police issues and infractions of protocol. Not enough about serious issues in Wall St - political cronyism - elite corruption and debauchery going unpunished. Just dainty pinky toes in political correctness. What have I missed??

Despite everything, people are still here ''pl'' and please note: a) trashyharry's reply to you at top of this thread and b) where ideas that are to be found at http://www.leftforum.org/ can get you, me and us all + fyi: http://wagingnonviolence.org/feature/how-swedes-and-norwegians-broke-the-power-of-the-1-percent/

?! Peeps I followed on Twitter over there have increasing police harrassment and constriction on those rights. Is this still valid?

Thank you DKA, for setting the record straight.

No need for thanks - the record is there for anyone who cares to look.

Check this one out and note the comments of those who find fault with everything - still offer nothing in the way of a plan for action for the public to make positive change: http://occupywallst.org/forum/bernie-sanders-socialism-may-have-mainstream-appea/

Does your "plan of action" include attending one of those fancy AIPAC sponsored dinners with your R <3 D colleagues? Wouldn't you rather have a bagel with cream cheese, and a cup of joe in the fresh air? That's a silly question, and it would be quite a sacrifice, I know, but at least you could keep your principles. I guess, when the Republican and Democrat politicians, (their underlings too!) go to these shindigs, they might as well eat well.

So far you and the Cronies - Your plan of action - from what you have been willing to say - IS - UNITE - though that seems to be about it - RIGHT?

What'cha gonna do once you unite? Have a group piss and moan session? Because - HONESTLY - that - IS - all that you have put forward to this point in time = protest with no functional purpose/action.

4th track: We support the status quo - though you wouldn't know - cause we are so sneaky and say damn it all - with no plan at all to change it at all. - by mdonelly & turbocharger - harmonizing - the Cronies singing back-up)

5th track: (We sing our own politi-speak - saying much while saying nothing at all - tossing aspersions and providing no plans - we're the next best thing to the rethuglicans in office - listen to us sing and pay no attention to the fact that we forward nothing - and so we serve the status quo. - by mdonelly & turbocharger - harmonizing - the Cronies singing back-up)

"4th track...5th track.." You don't have an 8-track tape player do you?! WOW! I hear they were really popular 40-50 years ago. Wait... that coincides with the same time the neoliberal system really started screwing us...hmmm? You want us to vote for "Change We Can Believe In," again?

[-] 1 points by turbocharger (1756) 8 years ago

Here is a plan of action, if the current system is the route you want to go;

Replace all of the current members of Congress with groups that actually represent the real people. They will not be lawyers or financials, which will mean the execution is going to be sloppy.

But the corruption will be cut dramatically, and the historical pretext of 100 years of back room deals will be gone as well.

That is a plan of action, one that has nothing to do with what you push, which is basically just more of the same.

You like apples?

[-] 1 points by mdonelly (324) from Mineola, NY 8 years ago

Bad on you turbo. You should know that NOT supporting either of the two corrupt candidates, is the same as supporting the "status quo"... now. It's a New World (a bit twisted tho..) brought to you by our neocon oppressors & their minions.

Bernie is good.

Now try and tell that to the idiots attacking him. Nah just kidding - they don't care - they just want people to do nothing.

[-] 1 points by turbocharger (1756) 8 years ago

Anyone willing to join the Dems for political gain is not trustworthy.

Who joins that level of corruption? If it can't be done without doing it, then whats that say about the system as a whole? Nice racket, eh?

I have never seen you write anything so nasty about the GOP, but then you love the GOP

Please tell us again why government spending is so bad, please we just love to hear the real you.

From reading your posts this morning, I wanted to see if you had corrupted the meanings of anymore words and phrases. I see that you had.

So people NOT voting for anyone in the corrupt system are the "status quo"...now?! ... laughing.. And doing "nothing" equates to not voting for one of the people who represent the interests of the big banks and corporations. Golly... that's twisted! But funny...
