Rocky had far more positions that i agree with and I think he did a great job presenting them, again here's the 10/23 debate.

Second 2012 Presidential Debate October 30 in Washington, DC By aaron On October 22, 2012 ·

Viewers of First Debate to Determine Which Candidate Advances to the October 30 Debate via Instant Runoff Voting

Free and Equal Elections Foundation today announced that its second 2012 Presidential debate is scheduled for October 30 in Washington, DC, from 9:00pm to 10:30pm Eastern Time. The venue will be announced shortly.

I noticed that "free and equal" required the debater meet a minimum standard, it was a bit lower than the one to be in the debate with Obama and Romney, Perot met that standard in 1992 and there were three in the "national" debates. It seems everyone sees the need to limit participation.

Jill and Gary

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

Damn, I think politics may have been involved, I don't see how anyone could see the debate and not think Rocky did very well, but that's what democracy looks like...

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

Jill has more name recognition (the green party is larger)

Gary differs more from Jill than Rocky thus expanding the range of ideas

[-] 2 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

The Libertarian is large too that's why I think there was a bit of politics, but that's life isn't it.

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

the libertarians have been around a long time

I thought Gary's test score for human rights by the ACLU were impressive

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

Right from the start I liked Rocky because of climate change statement.

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

seems we need some sort of emergency to act

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

It could well be our greatest test, those that are willing to make great sacrifice to solve slow problems make it to the next step, those that aren't don't.

I would think that all that build tools face this issue perhaps there are places where they are not as short sighted as we seem to be, if so the God head still arises, we are just not part of it.

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

How to establish higher Education for everyone?

G: federal guaranteed college loans are driving up tuition. Free comes with a cost. Fed gives money to banks at 0 %

J: public education should be free. It has been done before. Economy pay back is x7. High School education is free. now higher education should be free. Stop spending bail out wall street. Bail out students.

R: We must provide education to maintain "competitive" edge over other countries. (I don't believe we should compete for limited jobs in the world. I believe the world should take care of its population. We can not afford not to fund education.

V: we can't afford more student loans and peal grants. balance budget

2-party want to expand loans and grants

[-] 2 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

Rocky and Jill both pushing for "free" education I think that is the way to go, I liked what Rocky said about jobs too.

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

Indefinite Detention?

J: this is an outrage. No prison without charge or trial. No assassinations. No unwarranted wire tapping. Stop whistle blower persecution

R: this in anti-american. Obama asked for this power. Obama does not prosecute federal felony offenses

V: veto NDAA

G: veto NDAA. ACLU endorse Gary by report card on liberty rights. Hero is Ron Paul

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

a push

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

no one seems to like indefinite detention without disclosure

the subject was not addressed in the 2-party debates

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

It was more popular ten years ago,

I like to think of it as the Big Leagues and triple A, after all nothing says it has to be two party in 92 it was three but you got to earn your way into the Big Leagues, people do move up from triple A but it ain't easy. (there are double A players that didn't get to be at this debate either)

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

I recognized larry kings name

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

I saw Jordan play in the triple A's.

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

How would you change constitution if you could?

R: Equal rights will not be abridged on gender and sexual orientation (ERA). Thinks it would pass today

V: term limits ( I am against term limits. People should be able to reelect politicians they like) PACS are buying legislators

G: term limits

J: Corporations are not people. Money is not speech. term limits will not stop corps from funding all politicians

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

Jill takes up the OWS cause, you've said she has been to marches I like Rocky's too and also think we could get it done, this is the one question I thought Jill came out on top on. (but I like Rocky's too)

PS term limits are a trap, the 1% want to be able to hold the rest of their lives over those in office, when somebody really fights for the people they are hard to get rid of, how do you think we got term limits on the Presidency? (Bill Clinton would still be President)

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

campaign funding should be transparent

I like when Gary Johnson said "Candidates should wear Nascar jackets showing their supporters"

I think the ERA should have been passed decades ago

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

I've heard the NASCAR jacket thing before and I like it too, but it is always cloudy, I mean how about the people who work at EXXON isn't a lot of that just pushing EXXON? What Romney should of said is corporations are made up of people, my friend, because of that people of like mind support like people, then if you can just make sure that anybody with any real money thinks a certain way, and that money rules all well then what you think is what all the people who matter think. The ERA? We have a chance to make it better now, get ready for The Bionic ERA.

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

War on Drugs?

R: A waste of treasure and human tragedy

people being jailed for years for drugs

we have the greatest incarceration on drug offense than all the prisoners in europe

end drugs.

legalized industrial hemp

.

V: not legalizing drug. would fund drug wars.

G: legalize marijuana (tax the drug sales). marijuana is not more dangerous than alcohol. 1/2 of law enforcement is drug related. The issue should be handled by family.Meth amphetamine is the problem drug. Cocaine puts holes in you heart

J: Marijuana is not dangerous. IT is only dangerous because it is illegal. Legalize Marijuana. If Science should be applied by DEA Marijuana would be legal. marijuana should be regulated but not to tobacco monopoly

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

V talks about PBS and planed parenthood, as if getting rid of those would cover the cost of the DEA or something it was weird and wrong we spend far more on the DEA than those combined.

You can't run third party if you don't want to legalize it, that's where the brain trust comes from, people who know alcohol is bad for the brain.

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

certainly for the liver

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

top two primary runs for vote on final?

this takes other parties off the final party

J: opposes

R: opposes.

V: opposes. not for public financing

G: should be dealt with on local level. Medicare is not sustainable(more money out than money in) 2-Party candidates are twiddle dee and twiddle dumb

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

I live in AZ trying to decide on this, all six of the political parties are against it as I recall when something has this many politicians on one side you might want to give the other side a good look.

Nate Silver said it will allow more moderates to win office, that might be good the Rs are crazy here, my son says it will weaken the parties, I say the GOP are damn strong here so is that a bad thing?

I think it might allow a "third" party person to actually win office, because in the primary you can vote your heart because you get a redo before the Republican takes office and maybe one day a Rocky will move enough hearts to be number two and then number one.

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

I would like to apply something like this to the state seats in the federal house of representatives

where

each state member would vote of one representative and the top winners would receive the seats available to to states

this would create some sort of parliament

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

you lost me what is a "state member"? what are these seats you speak of? what do you think about top two primaries, that what I have to decide on.

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

duh! left/right paradigm evoked

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

I think the biggest disappointment I had with the debate was that none of them actually came right out and called for a tax increase, they got close but i felt they were all weak on this.

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

while a consumer tax would draw from the money flow,

consumer tax will not tap where money is collected ..

humans will pull money out of the system

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

they didn't seem to come right out and call for any tax increase, consumer or otherwise, I think more courage than that will be needed

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

we got two tax increases on the CA ballet

CA Prop 30 includes a .25 cent sales tax for schools

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

Sales tax is the most repressive of all and the GOP here keep forcing us to that to fund schools as well in AZ this year it's one cent will make us second highest sales tax in the country.

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

don't I pay taxes for consumption of labor?

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

not sure what you mean, I know there are dangers in judging but it was a debate, I think it is only being fair to them to think about what they say and if I agree, but I did not mean to offend

I agree that we need to elect an alternative party although Gary Johnson wouldn't be my choice. He would be better than voting for the parties that have been bought with campaign propaganda ads; but unfortunately he didn't even fill out his Project Vote Smart questionnaire which I think should be mandatory.

As indicated at previous times I think that Jill Stein would be much better but Rocky Anderson has some good positions on the issues as well and they both filled out their questionnaires.

The most important thing is letting people know that voting for candidates supported by millions if not billions of dollars of propaganda ads paid for by corporations is allowing your vote to be bought but you won't be the one that gets paid for it; the people that create the propaganda will collect the loot.

All 3rd party voters should be aware of this

Posted 11 hours ago on Nov. 2, 2012, 4:36 p.m. EST by Underdog (2657) from Clermont, FL This content is user submitted and not an official statement

The below short video shows how major parties (R and D) have used a dirty trick tactic of supporting and funding 3rd party candidates in order to drain votes from their opposition major party (R or D). People should really investigate thoroughly any 3rd party to make sure they are not just a "front" designed to drain votes away from one of the two major parties. Whether this is common or rare, it is something one should be aware of if you are voting 3rd party.

Dirty politics is everywhere.

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

Thanks for the link, but I do notice from the cartoon that the people who run the site and the two major parties share what I think is the biggest problem, they all seem very willing to trample the truth to make political points.

[-] 1 points by MattHolck3 (34) 11 years ago

I thought the candidates of the 3rd party debates stayed on topic better than the 2 party candidates

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

That may be true, I was referring to the cartoon saying that there is no difference when in fact there are huge differences, I understand from a political point of view it is not good for the cause of a third party to admit that but it does not make it untrue, and when they claim there is none for the sake of their party they are doing the same thing the Ds and GOP do to build their party it would take someone willing to tell the truth to make me switch parties.

Vice president debate

now the 2-Party candidates are selling off the 9/11/12 protest attack in Libya as a terrorist attack

in the Vice President debated Rimmer evoke al kidda and and Bidding just ley it pass

Rimmer claimed paper pushers were job creators

Jobs are created by paying someone to do something

if the government wants more people working , they should hire them

Matt, do you support instant runoff voting? Any third party supporter who does not, is actually urging the splitting the vote of one side (here the progressive side) to help the other side.

Don't Waste Your Vote on Obama or Romney

Posted 12 hours ago on Oct. 8, 2012, 12:30 a.m. EST by petergreen4 (1) This content is user submitted and not an official statement

There will be no difference in how the US is run whether Obama or Romney wins the election. Thus, a vote for either of these candidates is a wasted vote. Romney and Obama are both beholden to the fraction of the 1% that uses the American Empire for their personal gain and at the expense of the American people and people all over the world. Whether Obama or Romney win there will be more war, more Wall Street theft and more erosion of freedom and quality of life in America.

If you are part of that block of voters that the Democrats and Republicans think they own, why do you think they'd ever do anything to represent your interests? If your city always votes for the Blue candidate, the Blue party takes you for granted. If your state always votes for the Red candidate, the Red party takes you for granted. If you want to count, you have to stand up.

I encourage you not to waste your vote. Vote for a person with a conscience and who you believe would do the best job if elected.

Yes, they should... the age of the internet may yet penetrate the American elections but this 3rd party debate is not shown on TV, and not written up in the mainstream media. IF Obama and Romney were also there to debate WITH these other "candidates" it would be more meaningfull.

In the end, the party organisers will choose the only TWO candidates eligible to become president.
