United States: Iran Oil Route Must Not Close

"Shutting down the strait ... is the last bullet that Iran has and therefore we have to express some doubt that they would do this and at the same time lose their support from China and Russia," said analyst Olivier Jakob of Petromatrix in Switzerland.

This is why Iran has to be bluffing. If this is strategic (rationable), it has to be. But being that they have threatened to play that last card is very telling. Very telling!

Implosion, collapse from within. Something there we're not seeing yet. This is a deep subject that I am knowledgeable about. It will be interesting to see it play out. Just because it may not seem logical, crazy things can and do happen. America is familiar with this concept when we leave Reason behind.

Reasons Greetings!!!!

Lots of games being played here, on many levels. From brinksmanship (Iran, US, Israel) to oil speculation (Goldman, Koch brothers, etc.) to the Military Industrial Complex (gotta keep those profits rolling in).

Time to finish what Bin Laden started - the complete economic collapse of the west.

"Time to finish what Bin Laden started - the complete economic collapse of the west."

This is OWS. Do the rest of you really want to be associated with shit like this?

The topic is "IRAN".

And if it's not WAR with IRAN that finishes off the economic collapse, it will be the unparalleled greed of bankers and their ass-puppets in Washington that does it.

Ok, I thought YOU were rooting for the collapse. But this kind of crap is not new for Iran, they've done it before. There is more greed and corruption in DC than 100 Wall Streets. OWS focus is all wrong.

Don't kid yourself, DC is owned by Wall Street.

And I am rooting for the collapse. Sooner rather than later, and without too much destruction and loss of life.

Look, if Iran is stupid enough to forego reason and "attempt" to shut down the strait, they will soon realize that we can and will keep it open. We don't have to start a War with Iran, we just will keep the strait open is all.

I knew this would attract the alarmists who frequent this forum. These are the alarmists that Bush listened to as he squandered our military might. The same ones that called us, who were against those dumb a$$ Wars unpatriotic. You Bush lovers might learn something as Obama handles this situation.

Hide and Watch!

Tell me what you learn. I already layed it out for you. Let's see how a democratic president handles foreign policy. We didn't have to attack Iran to turn up the heat on them! Do you see it yet?

This is the perfect comparison of democracy - and not.
[please don't divert into the corporations that own us]

America - England - Brazil - India - etc etc
have to answer to their people
theocracies & dictatorships do not
just look at the hell saddam put his people thru - he did not care
ditto mao, ditto kim jung il, ditto sudan
iran will not do what is good for their people
between the insanity of the 16th century theocrats and thier maniac ahmadinejad - the whole world may suffer

And this is our history we collectively share together as human beings. How do you like so far? My sole purpose for having found myself thinking on this strange planet is to sort it out in my mind and then fight for our humanity. We need to fight for human dignity. Every one of us is entitled to certain human rights that no one should ever take from us. (Except criminals who have to be watched) We fight because it's right and it is backed by the truth. We're not afraid of the truth, is all we have, the other part is we check off the planet when done.

The White House has been largely silent on Iran's threat, underscoring the administration's belief that responding at the White House level would only encourage Iran.

they held on through the protests over the elections there. What makes you think the Clerics and Ahmadinejad aren't attempting to hold the global economy hostage to their will?

There may be significant divisions within Iran, but I would point out that finding a common enemy is often a highly successful means of forming unification.
