Forum Post: 5 Fails From Jart And The Moderators or Why This Site Did Not Live Up To Its Promise And Should Be Eliminated

Truthers and other types of conspiracy theorists have not been shut down as promised in the forum rules. The result is that this forum makes OWS look like a group of conspiracy theorists. 90% of the threads are about junk science and fraudulent claims. How can we solve the worlds problems when we are talking about false ones like the Illuminati, or 911 conspiracy theories?

1. God talk has not been eliminated. The result is that this site looks like it supports pseudo-scientific babble.

2. A bridge has not been made between real OWS supporters (those in the street) and the fake ones on this site. Perhaps if the street supporters like Jart, the moderators, Graeber, and others used this site, then the fake supporters here would have a better understanding of what Occupy actually is. It would also have been wise to create a bridge with other Occupy websites, especially those were real supporters are present.

3. The failure to clarify the goal of this website which should be to talk about real Occupy issues, and not about any and every lame conspiracy out there. It would have helped if the moderators and Jart would have shown by example, but they don't use this site. (Which is a bad sign, because the best way to prove something is good is for the creator to use it.) They should have explained exactly what Occupy was and the goals of this anarchist protest from the get go. This would have saved everybody a lot of time. A lot of fake protesters here still talk about voting and other such nonsense that has nothing to do with Occupy. It's sad. Real occupiers do not care about elections because they don't give credence to any political machinery. They are anarchists.

The failure to shut down the site when it became clear that it strayed from its initial goal. At his point, it does nothing but make Occupy look bad and should be shut down unless Jart and the moderators can come along and actually do something about it. They don't seem interested, and if they say they don't have the resources I'll reply that I don't buy it since there are thousands of Occupiers out there who would be happy to volunteer on this website as programmers or moderators (I do not want to do this as I am not American, but I'm sure many would). Perhaps the news portion could remain.
