Because you have no leader. America is used to having a leader. We want a hero to get behind, that's our temperament - we meed a mission, a reason for a reformation - even when it comes to hairstyles and hemlines (from Snookie to Edie...) we yearn for and will get behind someone who can embody our feelings. Your group has no center, no leader, no core - that is why I haven't joined you. I don't know what you are. I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but that's how I feel. I am scared of you guys ever since I saw someone throw trash at a cop. Stop occupying and start CAPITALIZING on your media presence before it becomes a backlash.
I understand your fear. We are taught to follow our whole lives. This movement is about taking the lead. The political/financial system has gutted us in so many ways and what scares me is that it is only getting worse. We withdraw our money from Chase to put in local credit unions. That means more money stays in the community, and less of it is funneled to sit in some guys back room. If the market crashes, its because America is no longer manufacturing. Its all smoke and mirrors. We all want decent pay, we all want to be treated fairly, we all want a decent education for ourselves and our children, and we all want an opportunity to develop and apply our talents.
I have started doing research on local credit unions...anyone know of existing reviews or lists of recommended CUs? ones with convenient ATMs would be good. If not, I intend to share my research (and hope to not get arrested for that ;)
I agree with everything except the movement being about taking the lead.
It's chaos, and the media and global community are starting to ask, "what's this all about" and there's no clear answer other than "we're angry"
The media isnt going to support this. They are not going to champion our cause. If I was the village scrooge why would I let the local paper post a blurb about how people think Im unfair. This is done on a much larger scale now.
I have to agree with that. Well said!

Read the different comments for a while the picture will develop. The chaotic process will turn into leverage for change and hopefully end our governments collusion and coruption with corporations.
Many of us believe this has become a county by the people for the corporations
You hit it on the nose DD .
Welcome aboard
you are definitely a plant : Asking who is the leader, who people are on this chat..... Go troll somewhere else. Good try though
the movement wants people to bring their own ideas
i think once the issues solidify (they meet daily with General Assemblies to discuss many topics), leaders would follow. it is a BIG tent (of people/groups)...especially since they claim to be the 99%..so that is inherent. after the issues filter, the leaders might follow. this is better than having "leaders" define the issues and plans for us, yes?
logical request. does my verbose comment help?
No lady.! When The United States was formed,There was no leader. There were 20-26 representives in Phildelphia Pa.July 4th 1776 to form a more perfect union. Look at how many signatures are on the Declaration Of Independence. Reps! No Leader!
Washington was a "Revolutionay war hero". THAT was given the title of PRESIDENT which he suggested himself....after the Revolutionary War was Fought and Won!
Count them...13 states in 1776 with about 20 reps to sign The Declaration written by Tom Jefferson and James Madison, along with Ben Franklin giviing fatherly advice.
Jimmy Madison along with Tom Jefferson then went on to write the Constitution 5 years later.
No Leader!!
I am on your side! And very excited about the passion you've raised in the hearts of Americans across the country about the income inequality - but - BUT - what is your solution?
I was at Times Square today. WOW, what POWER. How amazing. Wonderful, sane, common people of all ages and backgrounds ALL in unity (and chanting FOR NYPD as well:))))) It was beautiful. I KNOW the issue will be heard and solutions WILL follow...I AM CERTAIN!!!!! :) But for now, support is needed to stand up and demand solutions. I have many of my ideas I will submit. lets all continue to confirm there are problems that need to be solved and that we demand it. get involved :)
I think our solution, right now, is to make them understand we will not be ignored any longer.
"I'm a human being, goddammit! My life has value!"
That's....yea, that's not a solution.
Also, at what point did wallstreet say your not a human being?
Front Line's documentary on what Wall Street did is what made me see that. They were so greedy, they didnt care about humans, they didnt care about the entire system. It was just "how much can we get before it collapses"...And even AFTER it collapses. I am a free market capitalist...but I definitely see the need for regulations, rules to keep the system alive...but they even oppose common sense regulation!!!! they NEED a HUGE WAKE-UP CALL!
Fair enough.
I think you mean "yeah" and "you're." But anyway. You might watch the movie "Network" sometime, could be enlightening.
And, I disagree, it can be a solution, or at least the beginning of one - reinserting the 99% into the political process in a real way could change everything.
A beginning to one I'll give you, but the chaos that's currently gripping the group means there's no real follow through I can see.
And yes, I made typos. :(
Forgiven for the typos. I thought for a second you might've been trolling (forgot I'd seen your handle before). I'm only a grammar Nazi, usually, with trolls, because it's fun. :)
No worries friend.
Feeding trolls is fun, but be careful, if you touch them, their mother won't take them back...
You think Wall Street doesn't realize that you're a real person? They do. And because you're a real person, they can make money off of you.
This isn't a solution, it's a tantrum. Give us a real goal, something we can put into law, not a pathetic whine.
a.) At what point did I say I was addressing Wall Street? I mentioned the political process at one point...
b.) It's a famous line from Network, considered a classic American movie. It's in the same tirade as "I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore!"
c.) I didn't fucking ask you.
I'm sorry, were you addressing the US government? The Occupywallstreet protesters have obviously gotten lost.
I don't care that it's a quote. The end result is that it doesn't solve anything and doesn't help people like me understand what you're protesting or why we should join you.
Nobody asks you to correct their grammar either, but you do it anyway because anything posted on a public forum is free game.
Try to understand what this is. It’s not your dad's hippie protest. It does not require a leader/target right now. It does not require the corporate media/message machine.
Leaders and defined issues will evolve from the process. Right now it is about the journey, later it will be about the destination

The HIGHEST form of protected speech under the first amendment is : political speech/protest in PUBLIC places. It TRUMPS all other considerations like camping misdemeaners. The NYPD has actually violated our first amendment rights when they kettle people attack peaceful protestors and prevent them from walking ANYWHERE they want, like Wallstreet. Go read up on the constitution
Bankers steal trillions and your on these guys for using a city park. Comon??
That thought briefly crossed my mind at first. But now, I realize I have NEVER seen such a productive use of public space by the PUBLIC in NYC :)
Betty I am not a spokesman or leader. I am just like you, I am trying to figure it out
But the whole object is to Occupy until you become big enough to have some leverage to make change.
I think you guys are to big to fail now.
I wish I could agree but keep in mind the Corporate media will be dispatched to stomp this movement out – Not the Police Ultimately the 1% along with the politicians will use the corporate media to stop this movement, their control of television, radio, and newspaper is by far their most powerful weapon. The Corporate media already lies and misleads on any little bit of coverage they give this movement. It's only a matter of time until the media starts spreading lies against this movement. Everyone here needs to watch the documentary about Chavez. The media clipped footage together to make it look like his people opened fire on his citizens. That never happened when your average American looks at media footage it never occurs to them to consider weather or not that footage was clipped together to tell a lye.
I hope so, because we really do need to change
Yeah but your "journey" is costing NYC tax payers a lot money.
That seems like a crazy thing to say. Given the outrageous ways our tax dollars are abused. Nancy Pelosi burned up 57 million of tax payer dollars last year in jet fuel. I don't mean to trivialize your concerns if you are being genuine are you?
Everything comes with a price
As I have heard many times," freedom isn't free"
:You guys scare me"
Good! That's the idea!

"A SCARE led to the great depression man. "
Then you should be scared by the gangster banksters not by OWS. Their the one's threatening depression.
You need to prioritize your fears.
depressions are manufactured by the 1%. If you do a little research youll find out. Let the banks die.
You guys are aligned with the tea party then?
I am a progressive liberal NOT a teabagger
The OWS movement is not aligned with any party. It is aligned with fair business practices and the end of our earnings being lost to inflation. How much do you actually own in your life? People who earn minimum wage work eight hours for an amount that wont pay for a decent meal in a restaurant, a couple of boxes of diapers, or a two items of clothing at a discount store. We are aligned with changing this.
Betty, if you study the Depression which I have done, the FDIC insurance is there to prevent a similar issue with banks so you are mistaken. Additionally, people arent hiding their money under the mattresses. I have 4 BofA accounts and 1 Wells fargo. I am transferring it ALL to a credit union like most people. This will simply create more jobs in credit unions. These banks take care of local community needs and dont' charge you for atm cards, or your account. I think you need to take a hard look at what it is you are really afraid of
i sort of agree with that betty. i am more on the cautious side. i personally would not recommend masses bail on the big banks (i would say that's a bit like nuclear war), but i definitely want to switch to a local credit union. and I completely agree...INSPIRE! :) hmmm, but fear is effective at times.
Get a grip betty. I to,called for the 99% to close all their accounts, withdraw their money and leave those banks HIGH and DRY...Just like they did the US Treasury Vault in Sept 2008. You remember that BAILOUT don't you?!. You should have been really scared then...cause I definetly was! WeThePoeple were ROBBED of TARP money!!
Use Credit Unions People!
TARP was horribly administered. So unfair. Good intentions to save the national economy but horrible, horrible execution.
People can do whatever they want with their money. But with your media reach- saying something like WITHDRAW your money from the corporate banks is quite reckless. Yes - the banks need to reform their ways and the income tax structure needs massive reform but to suggest suddenly pulling all your money out from them...is not good for any fucking one.
AH, now we see your real stripes. Maybe you are a plant or troll. Maybe your real name isnt betty
It had to be done. The only way for the banks to be reformed is for WeThePeople to close our accounts and withdraw our money.
There are plenty of credit uinons. Ive been in my credit union for 17 yrs.
Everyone find a credit union near you and open your account with them. Credit unions are by the people, for the people.
I think a more calm, reasonable, responsible, diplomatic approach is possible and should be considered. [For instance, the Upper East Side march was clever, witty, brilliant and actually humorous yet made me angry to hear the facts being shared.] Banks have their place and despite their flaws and greed...you just dont KILL them, they are beasts that can be tamed, I believe. And the peaceful path will do it I believe...and the path that gets MANY Americans on board with the cause. I personally will search for a credit union, but not because of the call...it is my choice. Wish I could articulate better. Calling for there complete demise is like wanting to kill or banish a large, significant, powerful group. Lets TAME them, not close them.

Yikes, how do I answer "who are you?" I'm a citizen, business degree, had a bit of a minor corporate career, am struggling to establish a small/micro business since laid off several years ago, was declined by BOA for a business card despite perfect credit and good savings, lost a chunk of my small 401k. etc, etc. Who are you? :)
i wasnt at the entire march on the UWS but really was impressed by what I did see towards the end. what exactly made you nervous?
The upper east side march made me incredibly uneasy, that was not humorous at all.
LOL...does Chase have some kind of right to everyone's money? If Chase can't handle a mass withdrawal by their customers, then they shouldn't be in the banking business--just like all of the PRIVATE banks that were bailed out with PUBLIC money in 2008 shouldn't have been allowed to stay in business....
That's right, if I give you my money and say hey will you hold onto this for me and you say ok then the next day I walk up to you and say hey can I have my money back you say yes here it is. I say thanks. We're cool.
However, if I give you my money and say hey will you hold onto this for me and you say ok then the next day I walk up to you and say hey can I have my money back and you say sorry dude I loaned your money to Chuck then were not cool.
No we don't.
In democracy, no voice is more important than another.
Look inward. You are the hero you seek. Let it out.
What is Corporate America's solution? Who is their leader. Who is their hero? Why is Corporate America here, what do they want, what is their point and why can't we get with them?
Your rational makes as much sense as asking why the founding fathers even came to this country...
Go hide under mommy's bed....sooner58.
If you are scared, then you should go hide under your bed and curl up into a tiny little ball until the planet explodes!!!
Here is some truth for you!
Woodstock! A bunch of drugged out, dirty, drunk, free 'loving' party hippies concentrated in a small town in upper New York, changed the America.
Vietnam protests! Ended the failed Vietnam war, changed politics, and changed America.
Martin Luther King! A bunch of people peacefully marched, protested and went against the racist establishment, changed America.
What you have to ask yourself is,,,,, what do you think the Occupy Movement will do to America, and the world, now that it's global???
Don't be afraid!
Something better is coming, driven by non-violence, the internet, and more empathy towards each other.
Exactly. If they state what they really want, they want communism and Marxism which gernerates even greater poverty and income disparages than capitalism.
One of my degrees is in theory and philosophy. You have NO idea what you are talking about. Please go actually read what the theories are that you are spouting off.
That's not what we want
This topic "YOU GUYS SCARE ME" is the top trend on your your own website - why do you think this is? Honestly again, please don't call me a "troll" or "narc" - I just live on wall street, my job has nothing to do with finance, and I want to know what this is all about. I've been here since sept 17th man and I am literally embedded in your cause. So what is it? Not trying to be provocative, just curious.
I would like to ask that occupy wall street actually occupy an office space and get their supporters rooms in craigslist shares. The time for them to give that park back to the working people that used to eat lunch and commune there, and walk their dogs there has come. Don't get me wrong - it will still and will always be a hub for the movement - but seriously? Do you mind sharing?
Thanks for the discussion tonight guys. I can actually say that I've been enlightened by your unfiltered thoughts. I think you have to cut to cut the drum circle loose.... PS I am not a "troll."
I am more afraid of our current leaders than I am of this movement.

So I've been reading a lot of this stuff. I understand there is a lot of sharing of ideas and collaboration going on that is good. It demonstrates (no pun) the love for country and a common dissatisfaction. But there needs to be clear action agreed upon and implemented. Action with clear goals. Job 1, to take away the motivation for politicians to support big corporations at the expense of the environment; get a few candidates and run them, start a new party. Job 2, Get the F out of Afghanistan Job 3, bring manufacturing back. Then once those are agreed upon, tactics. Some thoughts... A nation-wide movement to STOP buying goods made outside of the U.S. Boycott stores until they sell all US made goods. Until then...use start a social networking economy where we buy used stuff from each other, and trade home made stuff; made in USA. Another thought, make it totally uncool to drive anywhere alone. If you need to go somewhere, go on line and find someone else to share the ride. Use social networking to share resources. Mass change can make a difference. Show how people can run for office and win without spending money to do so. VOTE!!!! Have a clear ideology, leadership, and support. Be willing to sacrifice to make it happen. Time to stop talking and start doing. There should be a movement now to focus these ideas. Establish clear goals, develop tactics, take action, measure success, readjust. Maybe start posting the best ideas on line and look for common themes. Get people to collaborate around them and settle on action. I'm worried, people will get bored and it will lose its momentum, and nothing will come of all this. Care and passion will only take you so far....
The question in my opinion is what should be the purpose of personal wealth--Is it not possible that in order for us to move forward as a life form we must first come to the realization that true injustice does exist --and then decide how we will alter history--a blip or the beginning of something new--a beginning of a simple statement--We the people demand the the purpose of all wealth is for the betterment of all lives on this planet.
Plus leaders tend to get murdered or magically disappear... It's probably best to not have leaders, but many representatives.
It takes time for new movements to develop leaders. However, many more people will come to your side when you are proactive (for “new” Business & Government solutions), instead of reactive (against “old” Business & Government solutions), which is why what we most immediately need is a comprehensive “new” strategy that implements all our various socioeconomic demands at the same time, regardless of party, and although I'm all in favor of taking down today's ineffective and inefficient Top 10% Management System of Business & Government, there's only one way to do it – by fighting bankers as bankers ourselves; that is, using a Focused Direct Democracy organized according to our current Occupations & Generations. Consequently, I have posted a 1-page Summary of the Strategically Weighted Policies, Organizational Operating Structures, and Tactical Investment Procedures necessary to do this at:
http://getsatisfaction.com/americanselect/topics/on_strategic_legal_policy_organizational_operational_structures_tactical_investment_procedures
Join
http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/StrategicInternationalSystems/
because we need 100,000 “support clicks” at AmericansElect.org to support a Presidential Candidate -- such as any given political opportunist you'd like to draft -- in support of the above bank-focused platform.
Most importantly, remember, as cited in the first link, that as Bank Owner-Voters in your 1 of 48 "new" Business Investment Groups (or "new" Congressional Committees) you become the "new" Congress replacing the "old" Congress according to your current Occupation & Generation, called a Focused Direct Democracy.
Therefore, any Candidate (or Leader) therein, regardless of party, is a straw man, a puppet; it's the STRATEGY – the sequence of steps – that the people organize themselves under, in Military Internet Formation of their Individual Purchasing & Group Investment Power, that's important. In this, sequence is key.
Why? Because there are Natural Social Laws – in mathematical sequence – that are just like Natural Physical Laws, such as the Law of Gravity. You must follow those Natural Social Laws or the result will be Injustice, War, etc.
The FIRST step in Natural Social Law is to CONTROL the Banks as Bank Owner-Voters. If you do not, you will inevitably be UNJUSTLY EXPLOITED by the Top 10% Management Group of Business & Government who have a Legitimate Profit Motive, just like you, to do so.
Consequently, you have no choice but to become Candidates (or Leaders) yourselves as Bank Owner-Voters according to your current Occupation & Generation.
So please JOIN the 2nd link so we can make our support clicks at AmericansElect.org when called for, at exactly the right time, by an e-mail from that group, in support of the above the bank-focused platform. If so, then you will see and feel how your goals can be accomplished within the above strategy as a “new” Candidate (or Leader) of your current Occupation & Generation.
Betty this might help calm your fears :-)

I'm glad I started this comment page "You guys scare me" because I wanted to voice my concerns and as a result I've learned a lot about the movement that I LIKE just being honest about my fear that this movement is maybe too radical for me. And some things are radical, some are are not.
this is a messy process. i agree with concern over the few scary examples, but the overwhelming majority is peaceful, productive and GOING somewhere. it is properly and productively moving forward. i felt like you at first about lack of organization but I now see the beauty of it. i see the smoke clearing and with more and more people included, issues, ideas are forming democratically. this IS going somewhere. ALL should contribute to it. The more thinking, caring people who participate (like YOU), the better the entire cause will evolve. I loved the "Give a shit!" signs today. Change is needed. ALL need to pay attention and acknowledge, including Wall Street. I am sure not all are bad on Wall Street...I imagine some see the need and wisdom in reforming. This movement has made me more curious than ever about the opinions and perspectives of people i have disagreed with....curious what they think and where they AGREE on how we can make positive change...c'mon, we all have to agree with that, no?!
I know the protesters feel that they are peaceful, but when I walk by the park and see a bunch of people hoola hooping and banging the drums, it just doesn't appeal to me as a gen-xer - we're all about ACTION. If they want my support, they need to shape up, lease a friggin office, get more twitter followers than Ashton Kutchter (spelling?) and DO SOMETHING. Get a game plan YO. Get out of that park, stop keeping my friend's newborn baby up at all hours on their sucky drums and let's motivate!
Love this comment. You guys scare me also. I see you wanting to tear down everything, to topple our institutions, to cause destruction. WITH NO SOLUTIONS! Then we will ALL be in shambles, and I DO NOT VOLUNTEER for that. And you have no right to say that is the way I have to live. I DO NOT WANT to live like the Chinese after Mao's revolution. Their way of life was AWFUL. And guess what - capitalism has come back into China. Just like Animal Farm: ALL ANIMALS ARE EQUAL but some are more equal than others
Education is needed before any here are going to be able to get behind any solution that a leader might bring. People should support any person of political power working for Article V of the constitution, and no other.
Obviously an education into the US constitution and the power it has over the federal government is deeply needed IF, a clear line of support cannot be created for the social contract that has empowered occupants of Freedom Plaza, inadequate as the right to free speech is without public support, not just freedom. Ultimatly, the greater meanings vital to, survival, may not be effectively shared or understood.

Are all dogs mad because some bite? Fear does strange things to people...chief of which is the destruction of rational thinking. "Today you told people to withdraw money en mass from Chase".....That was one person's opinion....It most certainly was not the consensus AS YOU WELL KNOW! Your post is another pathetic attempt to distract. It will not work.
Great Point. LOL
Betty, get the Book "The Ceature from Jekyll Island" Then you can understand how we have been screwed for at least the last 98 yrs. The book is much more scary than anything we are doing here. As far as a leader, I feel certain we will get one. Just read your bible, i hope it is not 666 but if it is , it is God's plan and not a thing we can do about it. if he is 666 I won't be taking any mark, rather die free than enslaved to a beast
Thank you to the organizers of Occupy Wall Street for creating this open forum - I really appreciate it. At first I was very skeptical of your cause but now I'm starting to understand it...
We understand why you are frighted. Change is unnerving. This is a new form of leaderless democracy and must be very difficult for you. Yes, there will be incidents. A lot of people are stressed and not thinking clearly. Some are ill. Some are just assholes. 915 cities around the world would not have erupted if this movement were not authentic.
You and the others who are posting negative comments on this forum are feeling threatened and uncertain. We understand. These are anxious times.Try to consider this from the perspective of those on "the other side."
Keep in mind that there is no "other side": there is one country, under God.
I imagine change is our leader? And the solution is finally having people faced with the problem.
Thank you everyone, for your opinions and answers, whether they were aggressive towards me or not. I live on Wall Street, am a 99%er and I want to engage with your cause, just haven't been sure what it was.
Betty, go down to Zuccotti Park and read all of the signs. There are so many problems in this country right now and they are all outlined on those handwritten placards. And, they all coalesce into one major theme, at least in my mind, which is FAIRNESS. One sign that resonated the most with me was "Our economy could be more fair." A very reasonable request. Don't be fearful. The leader of this movement is the people, that is the point.
If you don't understand what's going on, then you're just PART OF THE PROBLEM...
Confusion between wants and needs fuels a great deal of the problem.
Actually "they" are the 9.1%. The rest us 90.9% have jobs and paying the taxes that are funding their unemployment benefits.
I want to earn what I am worth when I work. I shouldnt have to work 10 hours a day and have to choose between shampoo and my phone bill (I have a really cheep phone 50$ a month) while someone else gets to choose between a trip to the moon or mars and not working at all because their money is inherited. The top 1% actually rarely work. They dont have to, they pay scraps for others to do it for them
Because they can. Look around the world and see that you don't have the skills to demand a higher wage. People around the world work for less than you do. Stop blaming others for your poor career choices.
If they have the right to theirs, then I have the right to demand what is mine. If we stand together and refuse to sell ourselves short they will have to choice but to pay us what we are worth. If we start manufacturing in America and coordinate in unions, they have to pay us our fair share. We have the right to drive up rate of wages as much as they do to try to keep them down. If you dont hate them for doing what they have the right to do, then dont hate us for doing what we have the right to do.
You have every right to do whatever you want as long as its legal. I support you for that. I just don't support those who feel entitled to live others lives. If you are happy the quit complaining about this great country. If you are not, don't blame others who are successful and happy.
I am happy to enforce my right to my fair share and to encourage others to do the same. If your successful and happy, then good, more of a reason for you to stay out of my way. I want for others to be as happy and successful as I am.
If they aren't willing to work instead of complain then they don't deserve it.
You dont know me or any of us, so you cant really make an accurate assessment of who wants to work and who doesnt. If you feel that way then you should not be happy that the fact that the top half of the 1% DOES NOT WORK and they get all your money.....
" it's important to note that for the rich, most of that income does not come from "working": in 2008, only 19% of the income reported by the 13,480 individuals or families making over $10 million came from wages and salaries. See Norris, 2010, for more details.)it's important to note that for the rich, most of that income does not come from "working": in 2008, only 19% of the income reported by the 13,480 individuals or families making over $10 million came from wages and salaries. I hope for your sake, Selfmademill, that you never lose your job. You'd probably have a nervous breakdown.
Don't think so. I have skills that are in high demand allow me to be in the top 10% wage group. Dont owe a dime and could retire today on the money I EARNED. You kids have a lot to learn.
Well, gee, you should be really proud of yourself. You're just something special.
By the way, I'm no kid and I probably have more money than you do. I just was raised to have morals and empathy and to never ever be elitist.
Watch, when your ready to retire inflation is going to make your money worthless.
What about all the people who are employed, yet the day they drop dead from working themselves to death, will have only tens of thousands of dollars of debt to pass onto their children?
Easy to explain. They lived a life they couldn't afford. Debt is merely a way to artificially increase your standard of living.
Please go to NYC with a megaphone and explain that to everyone. ;)
They wouldn't listen. They want to march and demonstrate their way to a better life rather than work, save, and sacrifice. I bet most of them have a fancy iPhone though.
I work, save, and sacrifice. I dont have an iPhone. I dont believe in paying that much for a phone.
Good. I'm proud of you then. Join me in fighting back against these OWS idiots who think everything is owed to them.
With all that work and sacrifice I will likely not have much to show for it at the end of the day(life). I am fortunate that God has blessed me with the mind I have. Not everyone is blessed like I am. We will stop buying from these corporations, we will withdraw our money, we will invest in local manufacturing business and we will own our property outright. Those of you who want to continue your indentured servitude certainly can, it is America.
We are the 99%. Not just in NYC, not just in USA, but now protesting around the world. We are here because our leaders have failed us. Self-leadership is the American spirit. We have finally awakened it again.
We need no leader to tell us what to do. We can think for ourselves. Also a leader makes us easier to co-opt and corrupt. We are doing mighty fine in a pure democracy.
Apparently you don't need no education either, you semi-literate clown.
You know, in 15 years of board warrioring, i found the only people that ever insult grammar and punctuation were: A) teachers or B) people who had no other argument.
Seriously, find something better to insult. I can write flawlessly in English but i choose not too. The English language is already overly complicated like the American govt. why encourage it?
Some of us agree, others don't. It is what it is at this point, it's not likely to change. We can just hope it's a catalyst for something bigger and more coherent in the days to come I think.
I'M SOOOOOOOO HIGH! I WALKED ON WALL STREET. I was like so surreal. Then my mom texted me and i had to clean my basement because, i dropped out of highschool. Dude, we ARE the 99% of weed smokers! Smoke more weed DUDES! Whoa keep on wall streeting you banksters or something! yeah dude bro! Smoke more weeeeeeeed. Obama or something whoa we're morons!

The asshole high person is making fun of the protest saying that everyone out there is a kid on drugs. Anyway Betty, I don't think withdrawing money from Chase Manhattan is a sensible strategy either. The economy is doing a fine job of crashing itself on it's own. I agree that that people advocating dismantling the system with nothing else in place border on delusional. But with both the media and elected officials bankrolled by the interests of corporations how can we even begin to have a conversation about how to move forward in this country. If we think multinational corporations have our best interest heart than we can go with the status quo. They need to move our jobs overseas, fine. They need tax loopholes and special subsidies, fine. The need to increase productivity and while not raising wages or creating jobs, fine. They need to be able to pollute and damage the environment and peoples livelihoods, no problemo. I don't play drums and I'm not at occupy wallstreet and I say NOT FINE. Has to stop and I support anyone taking a stand against this.
WHOAAAAAAAAAA "asshole high person"? That's so against our cause dude. That's such BS!!!!!!!!!!! you're part of the 1% aren't you? You Traitor!
I knew it! this is being over-run by people who want to infiltrate our society. spies are everywhere, man. I'm so high/paranoid.
go away please you don't serve any good to the protest cause except to embarrass people. This is too serious an issue
You are soooooooooooooo paranoooooooooooid.
boo!
Narc! I think i'm Od'ing on weeeeeeeeeeeed.
Obvious troll is obvious.
Please don't feed the trolls.

I think a troll is somebody who is here, or anywhere, to stir up emotions and not add to the conversation in a constructive way. If you are so interested and ready to join there is plenty of info on this page that shows the many ideas being tossed around. Why is a leader necessary? Why can't a movement be based on a set of ideas instead of around one person?
Peace and aggression are not mutually exclusive, MLK was pretty aggressive with the civil rights movement but was peaceful in his actions.
You're asking for the answers on a silver platter. Read up and find the answer yourself then decide if you want to be a part, don't do it because somebody points and says, "That guy is in charge! Ask him!" A large part of this movement is about how our leaders are fucking us and have been for decades... yet you demand there be a leader here as well. It's about ideas not a person and I feel Americans need to get out of their shells and try some new ideas for a change.
So yeah, you sound like a troll. And being my neighbor, as you mentioned below, does not mean you are exempt from being a troll.
omg! Please..you are making yourself way to obvioues!
