Do not get complacent. must stay active if we are to keep all right wingers from power.

Until the new system, from the ground up, horizontal, with direct democracy emerges, we must replace all pro 1% conservatives w.pro 99% progressives, & protest for change that benefits the 99%

[-] 0 points by flip (7101) 11 years ago

so who will you replace the pro 1% conservative obama with?

[-] 2 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

whoever david & charlie tell me to

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

When the new system is in place there will be a real progressive candidate with real access, and a realistic opportunity to win.

Whoever is in power at that time (from the 2 parties) can be replaced with that future pro 99% progressive candidate.

Right?

What is the "new system"

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

ground up, horizontal, w/ real direct democracy.

Remember?

"Power to the people, right on!"

Not the corp 1% oligarchs!

[-] 0 points by flip (7101) 11 years ago

and when will this new system be in place? i don't see it coming do you?

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Who knows. Aren't you workin on it.? If not what are you proposing as a path for improvement.

Someone is working on it. Isn't OWS working on the new system?

[-] 0 points by flip (7101) 11 years ago

lots of people are agitating for change - looks like a ways off to me - how about to you. what are you doing to make it happen other than posting here? there needs to be more - lots more done don't you think

[-] 3 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

here is what VQkag2 & I are working on:
We can do what 80% of Americans say they want
We can do what 1,900,000 Americans signed
We can do what 363 local & state resolutions call for
We can do what 1,309 American mayors endorsed

Virtually every OWS goal –
jobs, taxes, government honesty, energy, environment, economy
all go back to EXACTLY one place
MONEY IN POLITICS

And there is EXACTLY one first step:

i like it - keep it up

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

I post here, I've been protesting for a new progressive change for decades, I specified a clear simple plan : which is replace pro 1% conservatives w/ pro 99% progressives, & protest for change that benefits the 99%.

This I propose we do until the new system emerges.

So I have specified twice what I propose & what I've done.

What are YOU proposing???

[-] 2 points by DavidPrice (8) 11 years ago

Nothing you write seems to be about Occupy, it seems to me you're all about re-electing the democrats.

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

I am about replacing pro 1% conservatives w/ pro 99% progressives, & protesting for change that benefits the 99%.

Until the new system emerges It's all we can do.

[-] 2 points by DavidPrice (8) 11 years ago

You don't think we can help that emergence come about? You think it's going to pop into existence by magic? The Occupy supporters I know work hard every day to create a new system, you seem to be about making sure the status quo remains intact.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

I support the creation of the new system. I don't think it will happen by magic. I am ready to help in any way i can. I have lent my body (&^ brought many others) to many OWS protests.

I am for managing the current system as best as possible & pressuring for reform! Keeping the right wing 1% oligarch tools out of office, laying the ground work for the "new system" & maybe improving the lives of the 99%.

So you know Occupy supporters working hard to create the new system?

How are they doing? Is there a schedule? Whats taking so long? Where have you seen these hard working supporters.? What is the biggest problem they have resolved? What is the biggest challenge they still face.?

Peace

[-] 1 points by flip (7101) 11 years ago

the same things that have worked in the past - that got us the 8 hr work day and social security

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Is that a riddle?. Are you unable to say what you propose? Why do I have to guess.?

Do you mean large scale strikes. A Pres who fights against the "trusts". decades of clashes with mgmt hored goons, death, destruction.?

Please specify.

[-] 1 points by flip (7101) 11 years ago

are you saying that you do not know our history - start with howard zinn - he is the educator not me

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

I know Zinn well enough.

What do you propose?

[-] 2 points by flip (7101) 11 years ago

you make no sense at all - you know zinn but do not know how we got the 8 hr day. you are too busy for this - or is this what you do when you think you are working hard for change?

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

I know full well how we improved worker rights. I listed them earlier.

What do you propose we do to create change?.

[-] 2 points by flip (7101) 11 years ago

i propose to continue this silly conversation until you give up - so i repeat - the same things that have worked in the past - that got us the 8 hr work day and social security

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

LMFAO. Why is it silly. I wanna know what you propoise we do. You have lotsa complaints about others but no proposals.

You got nothing! What do you come here for?. You have no intention of working for change.

Do you name drop the great Zinn because you saw his name on a progressive blog?

So we rose up and killed hundreds of business owners right? Is that how we got the 8 hr workday?

[-] 1 points by flip (7101) 11 years ago

why do i feel like say -"gotcha last?" - i have to go to work now - try to pay the rent so keep it coming - pretend that i am responding and continue as before - no one will notice

[-] 1 points by flip (7101) 11 years ago

what?

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

"Ah Bawa kawa poosay poosay" JL

[-] 1 points by flip (7101) 11 years ago

this is fun - the same things that have always done the job - you know what they are - you don't need me to tell you. if you do need me then it is time to educate yourself - go ahead now waste some more time - do you think anyone will read this nonsense and think that either one of us is worthy of their time - i doubt it - i would think that any obama supporter should try to seem as reasonable as possible to get their boy elected

[-] 1 points by flip (7101) 11 years ago

the same things that have worked in the past - that got us the 8 hr work day and social security

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

"the same things that have worked in the past" LMFAO

You offer no specifics. Why?

Is it because you have no ideas, no plans, no intention to support change.?

Do you support OWS? Or do you come her to insult, and criticize the good hard working supporters of the 99%?

[-] 1 points by flip (7101) 11 years ago

i propose to continue this silly conversation until you give up - so i repeat - the same things that have worked in the past - that got us the 8 hr work day and social security

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

You are saying nothing when you say "do what we did before"

Why the cop out?

What are you afraid of? Why is it silly to consider tactics to achieve change?.

Is it because you have no ideas, no plans, no intention to support change.?

Do you support OWS? Or do you come her to insult, and criticize the goodhard working supporters of the 99%?

[-] 1 points by flip (7101) 11 years ago

which part of little liar was inaccurate - are you a large person - if you read howard you did not understand what you read. or maybe forgot it was long ago. that implies you are not a kid - no excuse for this silliness then. are you at work now or do you live with mom and stay online all day? have you gotten help - you need it - have you nothing better to do?

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

It is inapproriate to "fish" for my personal info. And you are simply attempting to find more ammo for sophomoric personal attacks.

Are your arguments so weak they can't survive civil, honest debate in the marketplace of ideas.?

Why can't you be respectful? Why can't you be truthful?

Stick with the facts. Calling me a liar for saying I've read Zinn is silly, & irrelevant. It is a weak attempt at distraction from the substantive question at hand. Which is:

What do YOU propose for creating change.?

[-] 1 points by flip (7101) 11 years ago

you never read howard did you - you little liar - and get to work - stop talking and get to work.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Without a doubt. Years ago.

"liar"? Calling me names only shows you inability to argue intelligently.

If you can't be civil, and stick to the facts you should be an adult, admit your failure, and refrain from the schoolyard name calling.

[-] 0 points by flip (7101) 11 years ago

no name calling involved - just stating a fact - but since i am so helpful i will suggest that you read "a people's history of the united states" and by the way - find something useful to do - this is not organizing - this is not changing the world - just in case you didn't know that

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Read it many years ago.

And you did call me a "little liar". Useless, meaningless interaction.

I ain't organizing. I am part of many protests but I ain't an organizer.

Are you? No. You seem more like a trouble maker.

You got no ideas for change. just schoolyard insults. Nothing positive. Only negativity?

Bad karma, Bad form. Bad news.

[-] 0 points by Barfnow (-16) 11 years ago

"We"?

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

We The people. We the 99%

[-] -2 points by yobstreet (-575) 11 years ago

I am working on it. I am ground up horizontal at this very moment.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Thats what I thought.

Speed it up. We're dyin over here.

[-] 0 points by yobstreet (-575) 11 years ago

Listen, I am very busy at the moment, contemplating. Horizontal affords perfect perspective; if I look down what I see? Coffee cups, beer cans, cigarette butts... some clothes scattered about, here and there a knee-deep heap, and I can understand how one might say, "all is shit, all is shit," and therefore and furthermore, "I am an atheist." But if I roll over to stare at the stars, I cannot help but wonder, how is it that anyone can say, "there is no God"?

So I am very busy at the moment contemplating the prospective perspective... and wars come and go... and all can wait until I get my head on straight; be patient.

Ecology, the ecology of humanity... is this possible?

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

LOL.

ok. no worries. have another smoke, crack open a beer & figure out the best way forward.

Peace, Good luck in all your good efforts.
