Forum Post: I hope there is a record of this forum for posterity.

This forum would someday make a fantastic record of humanites struggle from the Darwinian mud towards transcendent being, and of the extent to which human consciousness still spans that entire spectrum; the painful, gradual, awakening of conscience and consciousness. Astonishing!

Imagine an historian a couple hundred years from now, one that rejects consensus historical accounts, one who is interested in learning more about our marginalized majority, and print whatever it is you believe may be of interest to them -- don't leave out the details, no matter how inconsequential they may seem to us now. Preserve important Internet documents because technology cannot be trusted to preserve anything. Ensure the posterity of what is going down here -- fire up the printer.

Damned right! Thanks!

As a likely regime plant, "GypsyKing", you probably already know that such a record has been maintained from Day One. It wouldn't surprise me if that was part of your mission. But if not, if you ever need a copy just ask your manager or handler, or file a FOIA request with any of the agencies mentioned here:

To all you future-onians looking to my words for inspiration:

My girlfriend was hotter than yours.

Put that in your juice box and suck it.

There is nothing on this forum that dosen't appear ad nauseum on any of a million little miserable corners of the internet.

The REAL question is this: when does Tech Ops run out of money for the server?

You guys DO know there hasn't been a NYCGA in weeks right?

I hope so too, "GypsyKing"... Great piece of Americana! It must be saved for posterity.

And you're absolutely right to see it as a kind of birthing process of a new consciousness... "Astonishing" indeed!

Sadly, people like spiritual teacher Eckhart Tolle who, of all people, should be acutely aware of such a dimension, remain for the moment completely oblivious to it and profoundly reactionary in their thinking.

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 13 years ago

Spiritual teacher, and reactionary are I think oxymorons if there ever was such a thing as an oxymoron..

[-] 1 points by TIOUAISE (2526) 13 years ago

Are you saying that a spiritual teacher CANNOT possibly be reactionary in his political views? Here in the US, a great many of our "pop-idol gurus" ARE in fact profoundly reactionary. Small wonder, as many of them declare that "this world is an illusion" and that "there are no injustices"!

When the riots broke out in London, Eckhart Tolle was quoted as saying on his publisher's website that the protesters were stuck in "the sad story of me"... Not a word of compassion, not a word of insight about the violence ON THE PART OF THE SYSTEM which was the root cause of these riots. Even the British newspapers were far more balanced in their analysis than Oprah's guru.

Very disappointing indeed, coming from a man who declares himself "fully awakened" (To quote him :'If the Buddha said I wasn't, I would think: "So even the Buddha can be mistaken!") and claims to prepare from the comfort of his meditation cushion the advent of "a new earth"...

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 13 years ago

I'm saying that, in my opinion, if a spiritual leader is "reactionary" than they aren't a spiritual leader. Sorry if I didn't make myself clear.

[-] 1 points by TIOUAISE (2526) 13 years ago

Then we agree. All great sages and prophets were progressive in their outlook, fought for Social Justice and not simply through "prayer and meditation", but by jumping into the fray and getting their hands dirty. Such was the case of The Buddha, Confucius, Pythagoras, Socrates, and last but not least, the great Jewish Prophets, including Jesus...

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 13 years ago

Yes, that is absolutely right. Given the state of the world, any "prophet" that upholds the current human condition is not a prophet.

Me, a regime plant? Lol!!! Look in the mirror, if you can bare it.

[-] -1 points by vvvpr2 (-2) 12 years ago

LMFAO: Just what "regime" might you think planted me here? There's only one regime in charge, their current puppet is Bushbama, and since you're working for him how could I be?

[-] -3 points by B76RT (-357) 12 years ago

Most of the people on this forum are contenders for the Darwin Award. Look it up,.........you'll understand.

[-] 2 points by GypsyKing (8708) 12 years ago

Were you a recipient?

[-] -2 points by B76RT (-357) 12 years ago

so,...........if you know what they are ( you did a search) than you know it's for the ows people

[-] 2 points by GypsyKing (8708) 12 years ago

I already knew who they were, and I already know who fits the description.

[-] 1 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 12 years ago

Wait, I know this one! Hold on . . . wait. It's, uh . . . . . . .

uh . .

Okay, I give up. Who? ;-)

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 12 years ago

Ha! You tell me, I'm tired of troll hunting today. LOL!

[-] 1 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 12 years ago

Apparently, ironboltbruce has returned. Refresh my memory, all I remember is the name, not his 'slant.' Was he banned?

[-] 2 points by GypsyKing (8708) 12 years ago

I don't know, but one of the latest troll things is to pretend to be part of the movement and tell us we can't dirty our hands by joining forces with other progressive groups. Unity is what they fear and they will use every divissive tactic they can think of to prevent it; and there are a WHOLE LOT of them. LOL!

[-] 1 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 12 years ago

Yes, I've seen some of them. Bliar (typo alert).

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 12 years ago

You got it.

[-] -1 points by B76RT (-357) 12 years ago

You do, and all the dems/libs and most of the ows people.

[-] 2 points by GypsyKing (8708) 12 years ago

Yeah, because the Tea Party was coopted from the get-go. They are nohing but a branch of the Republican party, and OWS IS independent. That is only a small part of the difference however. The Tea Party are the most staunch defenders of the 1%.

[-] -1 points by B76RT (-357) 12 years ago

co-opted by who? the TEA party people are for smaller govt, cutting govt spending and cutting taxes. Most TEA party people are middle income. ows is backed by soros, someone who said he would give his ( considerable) fortune to take down the usa.

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 12 years ago

This is too ridiculous to warrant a response.

[-] -1 points by B76RT (-357) 12 years ago

when the truth doesnt fit the ows agenda, it's labled as ridiculous. typical alinsky tactic.
