you're a retail banker, stfu and get back to the teller's window

[-] 4 points by Chromer (124) 12 years ago

I love it. "Get back to the teller's window" That's a good one.

I'm still laughing.

[-] 1 points by Doc4the99 (591) from Washington, DC 12 years ago

Haha replaced by an atm. Outsouced via automation.

[-] 5 points by glennlanders (8) 12 years ago

Well, since it is all about you, I guess everyone can go home.

[-] 1 points by Monkeyboy69 (150) 12 years ago

When I shut my eyes ... Everything stos

[-] 5 points by NuclearRadio (108) 12 years ago

ok. hopefully you are happy with the living conditions within the country.

[-] 1 points by Monkeyboy69 (150) 12 years ago

What do u mean?

[-] 2 points by rayl (1007) 12 years ago

wake up and look at the condition of the country. the debt, the wars, homeless people. in the 50's and 60's there were almost no homeless people.

[-] -1 points by MattE (74) 12 years ago

Wait, what? Where did you get that statistic from? (the homeless one)

[-] 3 points by rayl (1007) 12 years ago

when i grew up in the 50's and 60's you didn't have homeless people like you have now. there were surely some but not on the scale we have now.

[-] 1 points by MattE (74) 12 years ago

So what you quoted as fact, was in truth, anecdotal rhetoric?

Just making sure.

[-] 0 points by rayl (1007) 12 years ago

google it if you think its inaccurate.

[-] 0 points by kingscrosssection (314) 12 years ago

How old were you in the 50's and 60's?

[-] 1 points by rayl (1007) 12 years ago

old enough

[-] 1 points by kingscrosssection (314) 12 years ago

2 or 3 is not old enough.

[-] 2 points by rayl (1007) 12 years ago

correct

[+] -4 points by Monkeyboy69 (150) 12 years ago

We need to cut spending on these entitlement programs .... That will solve debt

[-] 3 points by convertiblecaddy (89) 12 years ago

No...the throats of shit like you...bankers...corrupt politicians...hedge fund investors and wall street...should be cut...you are a waste of semen and worthless piece of shit!

[-] 0 points by Monkeyboy69 (150) 12 years ago

I used to work at a hedge fund... U are very angry for a liberal ... I enjoy provocing you ...

[-] 0 points by Doc4the99 (591) from Washington, DC 12 years ago

Your bubble is bursting...credit bubble. Better short those financials, s and p --futures just downgraded your job

[-] 0 points by convertiblecaddy (89) 12 years ago

Its all good bro

[-] 2 points by NuclearRadio (108) 12 years ago

So we cut spending on entitlement programs...now millions can't eat. What does that solve?

[-] -1 points by Monkeyboy69 (150) 12 years ago

Shouldn't make promises we cannot keep ... Govt is not an efficient allocator of resources .... Cut does not mean eliminate ... I am in favor of the 2 wars as well and wouldn't mind if we went to war vs Iran ... I should note I voted for George w. Bush 2x ... And McCain

[-] 3 points by NuclearRadio (108) 12 years ago

If you're man enough to advocate for war, you're man enough to die fighting it. The military needs people who are good with finance; the Pentagon loses 5 billion dollars at a time! Go serve the military that you love so well and stop being a hypocrite. Fight and die for the causes you believe in. That's what we do.

[-] 2 points by NuclearRadio (108) 12 years ago

My wife just asked if you're for WWIII with Iran, if it's on our soil as well. Would you support the war if we were being nuked and invaded by the Iranian military?

[-] 0 points by Monkeyboy69 (150) 12 years ago

Yes ... If we are being invaded ... Of course

[-] 1 points by Doc4the99 (591) from Washington, DC 12 years ago

End game. New world order.

[-] 2 points by NuclearRadio (108) 12 years ago

So your standpoint is that government entitlement is good for your corporations and the military, just not everyone else.

[-] 3 points by IlliniCornfields (71) from Elmhurst, IL 12 years ago

Famous troll you've found...best to just move on...nothing to see here.

[-] 1 points by NuclearRadio (108) 12 years ago

Great, so you should be happy with the protests and potentially a (hopefully not bloody) revolution. Austerity measures and endless wars traditionally lead societies to collapse. This is a known quantity from history.

[-] 2 points by IlliniCornfields (71) from Elmhurst, IL 12 years ago

I am not in favor of your "history" and "ideas" and "decency".

I wish for a different outcome that ignores everything in the past.

(sorry to be sarcastic)

[-] -1 points by Monkeyboy69 (150) 12 years ago

I am not in favor of entitlements for corporations ... People have to realize corporations are formed to make profits .... Nt formed to hire lazy union emplyees

[-] 3 points by BooksMoore (6) 12 years ago

So, just exactly how long has it been since you've become deprived of your conscience?

[-] 0 points by Monkeyboy69 (150) 12 years ago

Why do I not have a conscience?

[-] 3 points by JeffCallahan (216) 12 years ago

I read this post and 112 comments and all I can say is Monkeyboy69 sure is lucky to have so many people donate time in an attempt to educate him. But I can see from his reply's that he is ignorant and he's determined not to let the facts get in his way.

[-] -1 points by Monkeyboy69 (150) 12 years ago

You are liberal garbage

[-] 3 points by JeffCallahan (216) 12 years ago

Your a teller working for slave wage. Research the banking industry then you won't be so proud.

[-] 1 points by Monkeyboy69 (150) 12 years ago

Not work for investment bank ... Have for a while .... Banks have multiple benefits ... Not sure what research you have done

[-] 2 points by JeffCallahan (216) 12 years ago

All kind of low life jobs have multiple benefits. When you write I am a Bankster, I work at a bank and I am proud you really show your ignorance.

[-] 0 points by Monkeyboy69 (150) 12 years ago

How am I ignorant? Please enlighten me .... Feel free to take your money out of banks .... Cut up your credit cards ... Financial system provides numerous benefits

[-] 2 points by JeffCallahan (216) 12 years ago

I see a lot of good people already wasted there time trying to educate you. You keep whoring for the 1% you'll get your enlightenment. But I can tell it's going to take a while. Your still going through the "know it all stage" you'll mature beyond that some day if your lucky. You might not though, you display a real devotion to your ignorance.

[-] 0 points by Monkeyboy69 (150) 12 years ago

Please tell me how I am ignorant ... I like how u have all the answers ... I am in the 1%

[-] 2 points by JeffCallahan (216) 12 years ago

I don't intend on trying to teach you anything. Like I said I read enough comments to figure out you won't be doing any learning anytime soon. I'm just having a few laughs poking fun at your dumb ass

No, if you work at a bank, you are not a bankster. This refers to the higher ups, the owners and those who collude to rip off the public through unethical or illegal means.

[-] 3 points by TechJunkie (3029) from Miami Beach, FL 12 years ago

A real banker is likely to know that the word is "banker".

[-] -3 points by Monkeyboy69 (150) 12 years ago

Bankster is a term the liberals use.

[-] 4 points by JeffCallahan (216) 12 years ago

I have historically voted Republican and I use it. This is not a Liberal/Conservative topic. This is a 99%/1% topic

[-] -1 points by Monkeyboy69 (150) 12 years ago

Thank u for reading th entire 112 comments ... I am in fact the one trying to educate you

I'm researching a pamphlet on sociopathic lowlives in the financial industry. . . .

It's theft without congressional approval.

You are a banker until you get a pink slip, banks will do that to get more profits!!

[-] 1 points by Monkeyboy69 (150) 12 years ago

I don't hold that against them it is a corporation

[-] 1 points by Heironymous (25) 12 years ago

I agree...I see just as many Republicans disgusted by how the banks got bailed out as Democrats. On that topic there is unity

[-] 1 points by syedsibti (4) 12 years ago

Bail Out Banks, what about Bailling Out People? with $ 700 Billion Bailout to US Financial Institution divided by number of 2.5 Millions Homes foreclosed, Banks Got $ 280, 000 per House and people became Homeless: Continue the Movement untill THEY get the message.

[-] 1 points by marcxstar (167) from Los Angeles, CA 12 years ago

I am a gankster.

[-] 1 points by Cicero (407) 12 years ago

We don't hate banks. We dislike the idea that when investment banks do well the profit is private, but when they mess up the mess is public.

[-] 1 points by SovereignFreedom (35) 12 years ago

Go read the "Creature from Jekyll Island".Then tell me you are proud. You have been working for Satan himself. But you don't know any better. I am 50 yrs old, took me a long time to figure out how bad I have been screwed. You are probably much younger, so in a way, if you listen , you are smarter than me.I have done many things in life I am ashamed of too, it's ok, confession is healthy. Don't believe Fox News, or any of the media, open your eyes and heart to the truth, and make your own decisions

[-] 1 points by Monkeyboy69 (150) 12 years ago

You are entitled to your opinion ... I am around your age as well... Think people who feel they are owed something or doing nothing should be ashamed

[-] 1 points by SovereignFreedom (35) 12 years ago

Well, if you are my age, we have been robbed and enslaved. People have been somewhat enslaved since early civililization. We have had the wool pulled over our eyes. I thought America was a Christian nation founded on Godly principles. Boy have I been had! I have worked since I was 14 and right now have nothing to show for it.It's kind of sad in life, the older you are, the wiser you are.. Wish we could live life backwards. God Bless you Monkey Boy!

[-] 1 points by Monkeyboy69 (150) 12 years ago

I don feel enslaved ... I feel robbed o an extent when the bottom 50% pay no taxes ...

[-] 1 points by bruthasmith (4) from Sacramento, CA 12 years ago

Good for you, I do not work at a bank.... I'm. Proud as well.

[-] 1 points by Uguysarenuts (270) 12 years ago

No no no, banisters aren't real people, they are soul less vampires, completely different to the common man. Ows hate it when one actually puts a face to the term. Mass generalisation makes it so much easier to hate.

F__k Yourself!!!!!

[-] 1 points by Monkeyboy69 (150) 12 years ago

Why?

[-] 1 points by Shamus27 (84) 12 years ago

Sorry, I shold not have posted that.

Do you work for an investment bank, a small local bank, a credit union, what type of a bank do you work for?

Do you think we need to reinstitute Glass Seigal, (Probably spelled that wrong but if you work for a bank you should know what I am talking about)

[-] 1 points by Monkeyboy69 (150) 12 years ago

Investment bank

No. But I also think banks should be allowed to fail. I was opposed to Tarp

[-] 1 points by Shamus27 (84) 12 years ago

If Investment banks can take money from ordinary people saving & checking accounts and gamble it on dirivitives then al we are doing is allowing them to continue cycles of bust. If we let them fail on bad best then we should not allow them to do with everyday peoples money.

Investment funds need to be separated form normal savings, checking.

People loose their savings, IRS, etc.

When the glass-segal act was over turned under Clinton we gave investment bank to pol normal saving, retirement accounts etc with darivitive funds, etc.

[-] 1 points by Monkeyboy69 (150) 12 years ago

People didn't seem to mind when it help facilitate the mortgage market

[-] 1 points by eric1 (152) from Corona, CA 12 years ago

If you're a low level employee, you're NOT a bankster. The term is only used to describe the higher ups who make policy.

[-] 1 points by mindhawk (175) from Jefferson City, MO 12 years ago

I do not think it is ever useful or just to term other factions derisively.

I want to refer to republicans as bozos, but I don't because name-calling is childish and since fascists always use it.

You should always think it over when you find yourself using the tactics of people you don't respect.

Aristotle on usury

July 13, 2010 by FauxCapitalist

Aristotle, one of the fathers of Western thought, wrote in his 350 B.C. work, Politics, in Book One, Part X, that usury is the lending of money at interest:

“The most hated sort, and with the greatest reason, is usury, which makes a gain out of money itself, and not from the natural object of it. For money was intended to be used in exchange, but not to increase at interest. And this term interest, which means the birth of money from money, is applied to the breeding of money because the offspring resembles the parent. Wherefore of an modes of getting wealth this is the most unnatural.“

Today, usury has been taken to mean the lending of money at some arbitrary “exorbitant” rate of interest. Traditionally, however, it has been viewed as the lending of money at any interest rate.

[-] 1 points by Monkeyboy69 (150) 12 years ago

Great ... Thanks for that.

[-] 1 points by enough (587) 12 years ago

Hey jerk off. The term "bankster" means you are a crook who rips off honest Americans. Why don't you turn yourself into authorities, if there are any who aren't in your hip pocket?

[-] 1 points by Monkeyboy69 (150) 12 years ago

Question is if you recognize the rigged system and think it should change.

How does inequality mean rigged ? It s a free system. U can start a biz and become an entrepreneur

[-] 1 points by NuclearRadio (108) 12 years ago

The income inequality arises from corporations using their money to control the political process and policy writing. The game is not only rigged, its being run by those that benefit most from it. How can you not know this? The heads of nearly every regulatory agency and advising committee are current or former executive officers of the agencies they regulate.

[-] 1 points by glenn1984 (57) 12 years ago

it's not inequality that's the biggest issue ... we've always had that ... and if not too skewed it's actually insporational ... it's lack of social mobility that's the problem (that's what I mean by rigged) .... see at the bottom of the charts

[-] 1 points by Monkeyboy69 (150) 12 years ago

[-] 1 points by enough (587) 12 years ago

Then you probably are correct in identifying yourself as a bankster. You sound like a punk high-frequency trader who front-runs honest investors ripping off pennies a second in high volume. Many more people will come to your side when you are proactive (for “new” Business & Government solutions), instead of reactive (against “old” Business & Government solutions), which is why what we most immediately need is a comprehensive “new” strategy that implements all our various socioeconomic demands at the same time, regardless of party, and although I'm all in favor of taking down today's ineffective and inefficient Top 10% Management System of Business & Government, there's only one way to do it – by fighting bankers as bankers ourselves; that is, using a Focused Direct Democracy organized according to our current Occupations & Generations. Consequently, I have posted a 1-page Summary of the Strategically Weighted Policies, Organizational Operating Structures, and Tactical Investment Procedures necessary to do this at:

http://getsatisfaction.com/americanselect/topics/on_strategic_legal_policy_organizational_operational_structures_tactical_investment_procedures

Join

http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/StrategicInternationalSystems/

because we need 100,000 “support clicks” at AmericansElect.org to support a Presidential Candidate -- such as any given political opportunist you'd like to draft -- in support of the above bank-focused platform.

Most importantly, remember, as cited in the first link above, that as Bank Owner-Voters in your 1 of 48 "new" Business Investment Groups (or "new" Congressional Committees) you become the "new" Congress replacing the "old" Congress according to your current Occupation & Generation, called a Focused Direct Democracy.

Therefore, any Candidate (or Leader) therein, regardless of party, is a straw man, a puppet; it's the STRATEGY – the sequence of steps – that the people organize themselves under, in Military Internet Formation of their Individual Purchasing & Group Investment Power, that's important. In this, sequence is key.

Why? Because there are Natural Social Laws – in mathematical sequence – that are just like Natural Physical Laws, such as the Law of Gravity. You must follow those Natural Social Laws or the result will be Injustice, War, etc.

The FIRST step in Natural Social Law is to CONTROL the Banks as Bank Owner-Voters. If you do not, you will inevitably be UNJUSTLY EXPLOITED by the Top 10% Management Group of Business & Government who have a Legitimate Profit Motive, just like you, to do so.

Consequently, you have no choice but to become Candidates (or Leaders) yourselves as Bank Owner-Voters according to your current Occupation & Generation.

So please JOIN the 2nd link, so we can make our support clicks at AmericansElect.org when called for by e-mail from the group in the 2nd link, and then you will see and feel how your goals can be accomplished within the strategy of the 1st link as a “new” Candidate (or Leader) of your Occupation & Generation.

"Occupied by Legality/Jargon/Lots of reading"

I love you, but obviously no one has taught you to READ and THINK critically (in the the 1st link above) before you respond LOGICALLY, not EMOTIONALLY. Peace is the absence of emotion, and so is good judgment. And please don't respond with yet another insult just because I criticized your critical thinking abilities, for this only damages your reputation, not mine.

simplify your message so he understands it. the idea is interesting and would probably work

why would I insult you?, I cracked a joke, you may want to go back and read . .umm .. what was that about responding logically and emotionally :D

My apologies, when you said "no intention", I misinterpreted, sorry.

Accepted . .you sorta lost me at the first comma between proactive and reactive the difference being old and new, business & government intermingling being the crux of the problem :P

Paradox is the heart of truth when comes to proactive vs reactive. Nevertheless, I hope you'll join the group in the 2nd link cited so that we can further empower ourselves, for there are always long-term alternatives to short-term problems, if we know where to find each other, right?

purely intellectual pursuits are fun and best enjoyed when the roof isn't caving in, some times a mans gota do what mans gota do, cause thats what his heart tells him

Tear down the Wall

and when the dust settles, we will figure it out, all interest free of course
