Forum Post: Will "Occupy Wall Street " Win Some Day?

I hear that old familiar refrain from a chorus of thousands of hopeful voices, rising in unison against the storm clouds of what seems like hopeless opposition: "We shall overcome, We shall overcome...some sweet day."

Now the sound of change is once again in the air and it is being felt all over the Land and all around the world.

With prayers and chants and the beat of tambourine and drum; with marching feet and grim determination...the new generation of hopefuls is marching against the tides of oppressive need, want and fear once again.

The new surge of populist displeasure with the greed mongers of the rich and powerful moneyed elites is spreading like a slow-burning fire and is capturing the attention, the imagination and the support of millions of people sympathetic to causes for Justice all over the Globe.

The nightsticks and the pepper spray have come out once again and there is the sound of agonized screams and the dread "Thud" of weapon against defenseless flesh as the faithful protectors and servers of The Over Lords do their thing.

Blood streams down the face of a young protester who has done nothing more than try to exercise his First Amendment Rights. For this brazen act of "Terrorism" against the mighty fortress of corporate greed and excessive, obscene wealth in America, he has received a crack up against the side of his head from a police baton.

The mindless pundits of the far Right Wing Radical Religious Extreme appear on their radio and TV shows to decry the pleas of a new gang of "Union Thugs, Filthy Communists, Dirty Hippies, Dangerous Nazis" and to remind whoever will listen that military-strength pepper spray is nothing more than a by-product of "Food."

The "New Gang" of course, is composed of the dispossessed and the unemployed and the deprived who are suffering because the wealthiest 1% of the population have shipped their jobs offshore, have allowed mighty lending conglomerates to cast them out of their homes and a hundred and one other injustices that cry from the dust of eternal outrage to be corrected.

The 99% that the Far Right Radicalized Extremists in America despise so much are simply most likely you and me. They are the ones who have not accumulated the status of millionaire or billionaire of even "Wealthy." But they are the victims of the excesses of that 1% and they are tired of getting the short end of the stick because of what some of them consider to be a form of gross criminality in the manipulation of our government and our financial structures.

So, they have begun the inevitable march toward Justice that we have seen before in America when things get so far out of balance that great masses suffer. The sleeping Tiger of The American Spirit has begun to awaken in the hearts of the "Little Guy" once more. It has always been a powerful and unstoppable force for change. It will be once again! Change is the nature of the beast.

God protect and preserve the protesters and their allies against the forces of darkness and evil that would consume them and let the pure light of Love and Compassion spring eternal in their cause for Truth, Justice and The American Way.

My prayer today is that those fattened arrogant who sit upon their ivory-towered pedestals of judgement against the masses of those seeking a simple taste of Justice and reparation for what has been stolen from them either take the hand of those in need and share in their dream or that if is not to be, then somehow these same callous souls might somehow come down to the level where they too understand the need for mercy and kindness. Is that too much to ask of Destiny?

The mockers of the Occupy People should take due notice: The Eye of The Lord is always over the oppressed and He hears their cries of anguish!

There were these kinds of protests before-- back in the 60s and they changed the temper and the nature of Life in America forever. This current movement is no less a potential power and those who choose to stand against the tides of change ought to think twice before they make harsh judgements and call vile names.

A group of people can be dispersed with the violent actions of The Big, The Brave and The Blue (Police)(Troops), but an "Idea," once born cannot ever be vanquished.

This has been strictly my own opinion.
