I seem to be able to reply just fine. I also noticed new users having comments removed with no apparent infraction on the rules.
What's the deal? Is the forum engaging in information control now or is the excuses of hackers still being thrown around? Which I don't don't find plausible with the new code being used to control signups ;)
There's a chance it was the spam filter, or various other anti-troll protections we've put in place. If you suspect you've been banned or had your comment removed unfairly, do the following:
Making accusations of censorship without providing the mods links to what you suspect was removed is unfair and counter-productive.
Also if you think mods are censoring your "political ideology" or whatever, you can appeal that too by emailing abuse. But be warned that if you act inflammatory it's not going to help your case.

The comments in question did not contain any link(s), foul language, or political party references. As a result, I am uncertain what will cause the filters to be triggered. I will try to not set anything off. Security seems to be getting broader on all fronts these days and it's really zapping the fun out of life. Just my thoughts. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Want to know what the best way is for not tripping the spam filters and stuff? Get karma. If you post inflammatory accusations on a brand new account, the code is going to think you're a sock puppet or troll and is more likely to prevent you from doing things. That's how we prevent abuse.
You can prove you're not a troll and earn your place on the forum by posting good comments that get upvoted; engage in thoughtful discussion; present your point of view in a respectful manner; and stick around long enough to earn a reputation. Then it becomes far less likely that your content will be removed.
If you have a point of view that's unpopular, present it in a respectful manner. I don't care what you believe so long as you're not a fascist.
I guess then I will just try to not trigger the filters.

Because they would start fight with the mods, engage in concern trolling, write essays full of inflammatory arguments, emailing us for months complaining, try to say that they're more entitled to have an opinion because they're involved on th streets, and then when they don't get their way start tracking other members of the staff in real life who aren't forum moderators and start bothering them. It's creepy. I don't understand who they are or what their deal is to be honest.
Well I'm confused. You refer to, "they", when I assumed Odin was one person. I met with him in NY last year for S17. He was helping with Occupy Town Square the entire weekend and personally provided me with sign making materials. I talked with him several times there and have communicated with him on this forum several times, although he hasn't been Odin for a while.
I appreciate your time answering this because if he is a fake, I will need to completely change my activist focus and discernment. Please reveal what you can about Odin.
On a point of principle & solidarity, I have to second this comment as Odin has been a strong and faithful 'occupier' both on this forum as well on as on the ground from NJ, through NY to Vt and AK !!! How he could be unwelcome here is beyond me !! The only possibility that comes to my mind is IF his moniker has been usurped and stolen (something that has happened to him and others here before) & then 'others' have posted or contacted admin - pretending to be him ! He who shall be nameless here - has tried hard to co-opt Odin for his own dark purposes for a long time and is in the frame for this, imo.

Why don't you send a query to the abuse e-mail address to ask what is going on. Your blindly speculating here - will not provide you with an answer - it will only provide conjecture. You could even ask that they post a response - so that everyone can see their reply/response.

Mods are not the only moderation of this forum. Their are also auto filters that are used - due to past BS. But not to worry - if you don't want to do more then speculate - I sent in a query as to what is going on.
Rule of Thumb - If you see something that you do not understand - well then - ask the site.
