Agreed,100%, to this:

All of these huge political changes are nothing more than mental masturbation. I'm not sure if you are intentionally derailing the movement by dragging people to the fringe or re just so inexperienced in life that you actually believe that it will happen this way.

I don't understand the point of your post. Are you asking a question? The vertical lines come from a CSS rule: border-left: 2px solid #EEE;

there is a vertical line in your post

any idea why ?

The web site adds that, using the CSS rule that I pointed out, to draw a line from a reply comment to the original comment to which it is replying. That's a new feature that was deployed last week.

the gray lines make a fine ruler

I have not been able to highlight subject titles

using the # symbol which place text follow it between header tags

Nor can a use all caps to emphasize titles

Too many people were using those markup features to create headlines, so now that stuff is filtered out, but other markup still works, like this and this.

I realized what you meant about the vertical line. I misunderstood before, because there are a few vertical lines. You were talking about blockquotes, like this:

Here's to the crazy ones.

The misfits.

The rebels.

The troublemakers.

The round pegs in the square holes.

The ones who see things differently.

They're not fond of rules.

And they have no respect for the status quo.

You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them,

disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them.

About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.

Because they change things.

They invent. They imagine. They heal.

They explore. They create. They inspire.

They push the human race forward.

Maybe they have to be crazy.

How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art?

Or sit in silence and hear a song that's never been written?

Or gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels?

We make tools for these kinds of people.

While some see them as the crazy ones,

we see genius.

Because the people who are crazy enough to think

they can change the world, are the ones who do.

(Google "Markdown blockquote" to learn how to create this kind of formatting.)
