It's becoming more clear each day. The Wall St. Oligarchy that rules America will never work for 90% of US. We will work perpetually to pay interest on the debt that enslaves US and higher prices for lower quality goods and services that sustain our existence. Despite their ambagious propaganda, the cause of our growing poverty is not living wages. Most of us are no longer paid enough to live without growing debt. The reason is simple. The FIRE sector is pure overhead that increases prices and produces no real product but the profit of those who dominate us and threaten our existence with their greed.

Paul Jay at The Real News Network: "... Everything comes down as always, to a simple question. If we have no faith in the ruling elites, and we shouldn’t, then we the people have to change who controls government and build the public sector to challenge the power of the oligarchy. Our job at The Real News is as best we can, tell people the whole truth. The lead up to the 2020 elections will be a critical time to tell this truth. The outcome of those elections can't be overestimated. ..."

Billionaires need to be taxed, heavily.

The money they have hoarded is our money, our money spent on usury interest and on overpaying for products, food, rent, oil, tuition, car insurance, homeowner's insurance, cell phones, cable tv, you name it.

Regular people are gorged at every turn. The rich must be taxed but we can't stop there. We need consumer regulations that work for the people.

We need a government to ensure that regular people earn enough money to pay for the things they need for a decent life. That is actually the government's job, to make sure the people are not suffering.

Our government has been failing us for the last 40 years. They want us to think that the economic system is organic and they can't fix it, it just has to work to benefit the oligarchs, too bad for the people.

But that is a LIE. The economic system is NOT organic, it is controlled and regulated and is quite easy to change to make it work for the people.

We need to demand that.

It's human resources, humans as a resource like oil or coal or iron something from which wealth can be extracted.

"human resources" euphemism for debt slaves

Apparently in U$A, the choice (actually an ''ultimatum''!) of two and ONLY TWO parties, must constitute ''Democracy'' both now & forever more! Someone needs to tell your other respondent below that BOTH GOP & GOPlite Dems came into being ... AS THIRD PARTIES - breaking away from the existing power structures and recreating political possibilities!! History is a pesky counter to conservative propaganda!!!

you should apply your talents to helping these people get elected, those that go the way of "third parties" are simply people so conceited that they can't see the world as it is, they can only hear themselves...I have spent a lot of time "chatting" with them they care more about their own selfrigiousness than what actually happens, people who put their name on the ballot with no chance to win are simply ego whores....
