If they won't let the protest be in one place then take it mobile. Plan and next spring start from Ca. and organize a relay protest of sort marching all the way to D.C. picking up steam and larger groups along the way. Have a single message and walk it across America. Groups of people can join or drop our along the way. The timing would be perfect. right in the middle of election season and the media attention would be good. Think global coverage. Think local small town America with antenna coverage. Think outside of the box.

I think the presence of real human beings is important and is one of the major factors bringing attention to this cause through mainstream media.

But if people are not able to camp out in the plaza due to developer restrictions, city rules or weather, there may be ways to keep the physical presence going so it's not just a bunch of intellectuals or internet nerds quibbling in cyberspace.

A few ideas:

1) flash mobs 2) protest trucks (think taco truck but with people in it) 3) return to soapbox speakers ala Great Depression (they can't stop public speaking in public places, as long as large crowds don't gather)

Any others?
