These are the half steps that I might applaud but WE must get in the streets and pressure ALL politicians to take the next steps.

Half measures are inadequate.

We gotta stop burning fossil fuels if we care for our children.

no way can we stop this. it is now being viewed as a source combined with natural gas of prosperity and power for the next 100 years. the most we can hope for are good regulations and sound science. clean combustion technology and clean extraction technology.

Don't give up! Protest @ the White House on 11/18 against the XL pipeline!

[-] 1 points by quantumystic (1710) from Memphis, TN 11 years ago

its not even the xl pipeline anymore they have found a way to get oil out of the shale it's a game changer. it ensures a secure domestic energy source for the next 100 years. my main concern is sound regulation and science being put in place. the conservatives and middle will never let this go. sorry but this is one fight we cant win.

Don't give up. We will chain ourselves to the areas,, tree sit if we must. We MUST stop the rape of the planet.

Green energy now!

This should be spread everywhere. With this knowledge a movement against all elements of fracking couldgrow.

Greentech now! End fossil fuel use

[-] -1 points by Nowsmichigan (-310) 11 years ago

There is only one firm alternative to that and that is!!! drill, drill drill for that oil and get all the coal mines back up and running. Obama will be approving the XL project very soon

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

We must take the lead in solar, windtech. So that we can dominate the industry and create jobs at home.

It's the only way!

What do you need more " jons " for??? I think I am chatting to a second grader here!!!!

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Why are you against more jobs.?

[-] 0 points by Nowsmichigan (-310) 11 years ago

I am not against jobs but obummer is. Put all the coal miners and oil workers back to work. Obama will sign the XL project very soon, the union is waiting for him

[-] 1 points by quantumystic (1710) from Memphis, TN 11 years ago

there really are not that many jobs to be had in coal or oil despite what you may have been led to believe.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

More than bankrupt green temp jobs

[-] 1 points by quantumystic (1710) from Memphis, TN 11 years ago

4,000,000 green tech to 200,000 coal already. you lose.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Coal employes less than 200k. Better to create greentech jobs We currently have more than 4 million of those..

Protest @ the White house on 11/18 against the xl pipeline!

[-] -1 points by Nowsmichigan (-310) 11 years ago

obama has no choice and has to sign it. The unions voted for him mainly because of his promise to make the project happen

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

That's ridiculous. This pipeline is just a 20k jobs or so. No big deal.

Protest @ the White house on 11/18 against the xl pipeline!

[-] -1 points by Nowsmichigan (-310) 11 years ago

It is too late for protesting and the project is just awaiting the village idiot's signature. Obama does not care about you and does not care about me. He rubbed up to certain people like ows, etc only to vote for him

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

We can influence all pols. Don't give up. Protest! Into the street!

Fossil fuel is dead! Long live greentech!

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago
