Forum Post: Ron Paul wants HUGE tax cuts for the 1%

Posted 12 years ago on Aug. 2, 2012, 4:14 p.m. EST by struggleforfreedom80 (6584)
This content is user submitted and not an official statement

Ron Paul has really done a good job claiming that he's on the side of the people - the hard working americans, but in reality he wants to give the financial elite and the corporations HUGE tax cuts - making them even more wealthy and powerful.

Ron Paul is a sham! But I'm not surprised. I never believed he was a man of the people. He's some kinda right wing wacko isn't he?

[-] -1 points by vvv0802 (-17) 12 years ago

Yes, poser. Ron Paul is a sham:

Just like Mitt Romney, Barack Obama, and YOU.

[-] 1 points by struggleforfreedom80 (6584) 12 years ago

Instead of ridicule, why don't you contribute to a reasonable debate at least?

Are you a Ron Paul supporter? Do you agree with Paul that the wealthy should get enormous tax cuts?

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 12 years ago

vvv is unstable best you ignore him and hope that he goes or the moderators ban him again

[-] 2 points by struggleforfreedom80 (6584) 12 years ago

It's just wild trolling. It's sad to see all this garbage the trolls are spewing out.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 12 years ago

He's easy to ignore. Never really says anything of substance.

[-] 1 points by struggleforfreedom80 (6584) 12 years ago

Yeah, that's true. I don't know if this guy's one of them, but I've seen a lot of crazy rants by these AlexJones-libertarians on the net. That conspiracy nutcase is really a destructive force.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 12 years ago

I've only seen the Alex Jones name recently floating around. I gathered he is extreme, I haven't bothered lookin into him.

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

Alex??

He's Mr. Ps biggest fan and \the webs biggest "conspiracy theorist".

Coincidence? I don't think so.

He was saying the same things when Bush was president, he's just getting better mileage out of Obama.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 12 years ago

I will edjimacate myself. thx

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

Alex is for entertainment purposes only.

Even though it almost looks legit..........:)

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 12 years ago

Sounds like it.

[-] 3 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

He must have a lot of fans around here..........:)

We done lost karma, just mentioning him.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 12 years ago

I gave you a little back.

[-] 0 points by struggleforfreedom80 (6584) 12 years ago

"He's Mr. Ps biggest fan"

Not any more as I understand. Ever since ultra right-winger Rand Paul endorced Romney, AJ got pretty furious at both Pauls. His anger might have been somewhat reduced by now, but I thinks he's still pretty upset.

[-] 3 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

I'm sure it's a minor spat.........:)

They'll be doing money bombs together again soon.

I'll believe it when Alex does an expose on Paul's ties to christian reconstructionists.

[-] 2 points by struggleforfreedom80 (6584) 12 years ago

yeah, probably :)

They just make me depressed all these guys. This so-called "libertarian movement" whether it's the Alex Jones-crew or the Ron Paul-crew, is really destructive in terms of mobilizing to try to create a sustainable just society. I mean we can laugh at a lot of what that concpiracy-nutcase Jones says, but there's something serious in all this also.

[-] 3 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

There are far too many people who are serious about what Jones says. Lot's of them are here, and followed the Paul crowd to get here.

It's my belief that OWS is being or already has been co-opted by these very same libe(R)tarians.

They have without a doubt weakened the movement.

[-] 2 points by struggleforfreedom80 (6584) 12 years ago

But are you basing these beliefs on something? If what any of what you say here is even remotely true it needs to be taken very seriously.

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

I've been trying to get folks understand it for few months now.

I watched it happen here on the site.

Most are still in denial, and posting the truth about libe(R)tarians is met with disdain, more often than not..

[-] 1 points by struggleforfreedom80 (6584) 12 years ago

"I've been trying to get folks understand it for few months now. I watched it happen here on the site. Most are still in denial, and posting the truth about libe(R)tarians is met with disdain, more often than not.."

Do you have any specific examples? I mean, I'm not questioning your honesty or anything, I'm just interested in getting the facts.

[-] 3 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

The easiest way to see it, is to post something about Mr. P.

Or pointing out that the Kochs are staunch libe(R)tarians, who have almost completely co-opted the (R)epelican'ts.

I've been attacked many times for doing so.

It's also a fact that in the early days the movement was unafraid of getting directly involved in the political process.

Once it became clear that Mr. P was indeed rejected, things began change quickly.

Now they show nothing but fear to do so.

Coincidence?

I doubt it.

[-] 1 points by struggleforfreedom80 (6584) 12 years ago

Nor should you in the future. Don't waste your time on him. He's a real nutcase - dresses up with joker-makeup on his show and screams and yells. Real bat shit this guy.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 12 years ago

LOL. very good.

Banning the Truth does not change the Truth, and accepting Propaganda does not make it the Truth.

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

Interesting.

When are you going to practice truth telling?

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 12 years ago

Shooz.....pst.....hey...Shooz.....um I think that is what vvvrustybuttheadbrucie is trying to do......demonstrate the PR propaganda misinformation/spin/lies/misdirection/um-truth.

I'm pretty sure - he "is" full of it - um...can't you smell it?

Let me ask you something. Why did you click on my post? Why are you commenting here?

[-] 0 points by vvv0802 (-17) 12 years ago

No need to practice: We post supporting links to authoritative sources for everything we represent as fact. You post only immature insults and ignorant innuendo, shooz, which of course have no basis in fact and therefore require no support. How convenient for you...

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

You never did put up, nor did you shut up.

Care to repeat your lame ass self again?

Still speaking like you're the Queen of England too.

At least you are skipping the lame blog link......for now.

Did you ever find the 900+?

That doesn't prove your previous statement.

It's just more slight of hand and it's your lame ass blog anyway, which proves absolutely nothing.

Crickets.

All you have are crickets.

Chirping away.

Not an original though among them.

Just chirping.

Which truth is that? I'm all ears.

huh?

[-] -2 points by vvv0802 (-17) 12 years ago

You lost me, Gomer... Why would you ask someone who openly posted "Ron Paul is a sham" if they are a "Ron Paul supporter"?

[-] 1 points by struggleforfreedom80 (6584) 12 years ago

Since you ended with calling VQkag a sham, there was a chance that you were being ironic. So do you agree with the post?

[-] -2 points by vvv0802 (-17) 12 years ago

I agree with MY post, Grasshopper:

I'm not even sure where you're going with yours...

[-] 2 points by struggleforfreedom80 (6584) 12 years ago

So you're not interested in a respectful serious debate? Please stop with the trolling.

[-] -3 points by vvv0802 (-17) 12 years ago

You demonstrate no ability to engage in intelligent debate, Grasshopper, so let's redirect attention to someone somewhat wiser...

I hate to tell you Bruce, but linking to your own lame ass blog doesn't qualify either.

The only thing you have proven is that you are incapable of debate.

That's all..........crickets...........grasshopper.

Grasshopper?

You should dump the crickets out of your head.

This ain't the kung foo TV show.

[-] -1 points by struggleforfreedom80 (6584) 12 years ago

Yes, he's on the ultra right, ideologically. He calls himself a "libertarian". That word, which used to have a very different meaning thruout history (anarchist), has now a very different meaning (especially in the United States), namely someone who supports hardcore capitalism - private tyranny.

good, I want tax cuts for the rich, because the rich isnt causeing me stress or taking away my rights, big government is! So lets make our government small again by cutting their jugglar vein of funding, (taxes from the rich).

[-] 2 points by struggleforfreedom80 (6584) 12 years ago

"good, I want tax cuts for the rich"

So you want more power given to the corporations. Well at least you're honest.

"because the rich isnt causeing me stress"

What you feel as stress is not that relevant.

"or taking away my rights, big government is!"

Well they kind of are. The financial elite have the important politicians in their backpockets. The financial elite staffs government to a large extent.

But yes it is the governments/states that determine which rights we have in today's society. But rights come in all sorts of variations. The question we have to ask is: which kind of rights should we have. Should we have rights that give corporations more power in the economy (Ron Paul policies), or should we work to establish better workers' rights, rights that give people the ability to control their own lives and workplaces. I want the latter ones.

"So lets make our government small again by cutting their jugglar vein of funding, (taxes from the rich)"

I'm not a fan of big government, believe me, but our main focus should be to dismantle private power, because this frm of power undermines democracy.
