REP. STEVE KING SAYS HE’S NEVER HEARD OF A RAPE-INDUCED PREGNANCY | Rep. Steve King (R-IA) is doubling down on behalf of his colleague Rep. Todd Akin (R-MO) who said Sunday that it’s unlikely for a woman to get pregnant from “legitimate rape” because her body would “shut that whole thing down.” In an interview with Iowa’s KMEG-TV, King denied ever hearing about anyone getting pregnant from statutory rape or incest, saying: “Well I just haven’t heard of that being a circumstance that’s been brought to me in any personal way, and I’d be open to discussion about that subject matter.” King is one of Akin’s very few remaining defenders as Republican politicians try to distance themselves from the controversy. Just a few weeks ago, King claimed that it’s perfectly legal to rape and kidnap a young girl and then transport her across state lines to force her to get an abortion to “eradicate the evidence of his crime.”

Yes if Akin goes so should Ryan and the platform plank on abortion.

There's nothing to argue with there.

I'm tired of them pushing the abortion button every election cycle, while they ignore or make more important issues even worse.

It's why they are so careful in choosing the terms that they use.

They do have a long term goal, and it's not a very pretty one if you happens to be the wrong gender.

Or the wrong color, Or the wrong religion, Or the wrong class, Or the wrong sexual identity. They are ultra exclusionary, (old white men) we must be extreme inclusionary.we must accept even republicans who support the solutions (I say progressive) we need.

Everyone who supports the 99% is welcome

Or the wrong old white guy. ;) Not all old white guys are intolerant. You are the exception. And I say therefore exceptional.

This is also the same guy that was against a federal law that made viewing a dogfight a crime. There was a hilarious bit on the Colbert Report about it. This guy may actually be slightly mentally retarded, it is amazing that he was elected to Congress.

Unfortunately he won over 65% of the vote in 2010 so for some reason they really like him in his district. Makes you wonder what they are drinking in the Iowa 5th.
