I'll give you one guess as to who sabotaged my original "Renaye" username. You got it....Trashymonster!
Thrasy had been attacking me over the last few days. He followed me from post to post and I told him many times to stop stalking me.
When I realized the sabotage late last night, I knew that I would have to introduce a new username in the main posting area, but due to the delicate nature of the situation, how ticked off I was at Thrasy and the fact that I was very tired, I thought it would be better left till the morning. So, I posted one last post regarding religion that I had been thinking about posting, under my new username 'Ranaye', and went to bed.
In that religion post there is a brand new poster by the name of 'michellebarns' who I highly suspect is Trashy......oops, I mean Thrasy (man of 1000 names), who is now trying to get my new username of 'Ranaye' banned under the reason of being a 'Renaye' imposter. Geesh, that guy is rich!!!
I have my own style of posting that I feel is valid. I get enough replies to my posts to show me that there are other like minded people on the forum that appreciate and contribute to my posts. If I didn't, I wouldn't be here. Clearly my posts are not Thrasy's cup of tea. No problem...he doesn't have to visit my posts.
I had been thinking about taking a short hiatus from the forum, but now I will not. If or when I leave, it will be because I choose to...of my own volition, not because of bullying tactics. Thrasy is tedious. I have precious little time to spend on the forum, and I want to get back to posting with the rest of you.

UPDATE: Thrasy is now using his 1000 username arsenal to further sabotage my name by voting up my replies to him in an effort to make it look like it is me who is doing that.
UPDATE: Thrasy is now inundating this forum by pulling up my old posts going back 2 months and using his many usernames to sabotage them as well.

I didn't agree with Thrassy when he was using the bot stuff, and told him so both publicly and privately. He felt strongly otherwise at the time. He also responded with his opinions about it, in the face of my being fairly harsh with him, with respect and civility. He has since stopped using them, and from what I understand, has wiped out the code. The point is moot.
I just had to speak up. There are no two people more clearly not Thrasy than you and GirlFriday. Solidarity.

It's sort of interesting the power that Thrashy has on this forum. He's avowedly against the revolution that OWS and this site advocate, he's used bots and various underhanded means to attack posters he does not agree with and he even launched a campaign to harass one of the founders of the OWS movement, urging people to go to his residence this summer and camp out. And he's got the gall to quote forum rules!

Thrasy is an anti-christian bigot. And as a christian, I've also been a victim of his, and I, too, appealed to the mods.
But getting no help from them, took matters into my own hands, and the stalking stopped.
And I also exposed his many aliases and co-opted a bot or two (was that wrong?)
The only commonality with thrasy that I have is a shared belief that conspiracy theory is mental junk food, and have poked fun at it.
But that's all I've done is poke fun when the crazy stuff comes out. I've never stalked or collapsed threads (other than thrasy's). And the only ID's I've hijacked was thrasy's, and that was for a limited time only.
When Renaye or art go to looloo land I laugh and parody it, when they are sensible, I'm right there to pat them on the back in agree ment.

That's not true at all. He has always said he supports many of the messages of the movement and thinks it's important.
This movement is all about being our own "leader", acting "autonomously" and being in "solidarity" with one another. You're not sounding very "solidarity-ish".

This post was censored by the moderators. Conversations were wiped out, disappered. I specifically recall having a conversation here with shadz. And its gone, as well as other stuff. You can tell because the original number is still at the top, 138 comments. I count roughly 80.
Glad to see the moderators on the job. They have the authority to keep the forum on track.
Only problem, there was nothing against the forum rules in my posts with shadz. The worst there was maybe a swear word. I don't even think that much. I rarely use swear words here. And I don't recall seeing anything else in this post against the rules or anything particularly inflammatory even. I find it very strange and disturbing that nearly half this post was vaporized, for no particular reason that I can see. I've seen far far worse posting on this forum that are let go and not addressed. I can only conclude it was more an act against a poster than a post. The random use of power. Seems to me anyway.
How about rarely, RARELY, posting on-topic. An overwhelming majority of what he puts on here are rants against other posters for "breaking the rules." How about the abuse of the up-voting and down-voting? How about repeat postings of the same off-topic garbage such as his opinions about other posters {see some of his comments below} or what constitutes a conspiracy theory? There's a huge difference between, for example, 'Oswald was the lone gunman" and 'shape-shifting reptilian aliens are running the planet.' He thinks they're all the same. At the very least he (you?) is a fucking hypocrite.

Good points, April. And I agree, some theories are far more plausible than others. That's part of my complaint against Thras being the self-appointed moderator. I can fully understand not allowing reptilian-alien threads. But I think a few C.T.'s should be allowed. Brainwashing of the masses is a fact, the elite's attempts to stranglehold the planet, fact. These should not be banned, IMO. I do feel solidarity with this cause and most the pro-OWSers on this website. My comments here since October should prove that. idk, with any luck, a new user. But it could be someone who is resulting to the same tactics employed by Thrasy. The biggest issue with his methods is it creates a sort of troll arms race, if you will. I don't always disagree with him but I knew the forum would descend into this muck when he began with the image flooding. I tried to reason with him even then to use a different method. IT is so easy to circumvent IP blocks by using broadband and just rebooting or even using a basic router or dial-up, and the site has no email verification form. It's not as easy to circumvent Email verification because your Email server, even if you have your own, requires a static IP and that can be used to actually prevent the issues you see on here.

I think the forum is fine. I think it gets a little crazy sometimes because there are no clear goals or objectives for the movement. I see crazy things on other Occupy forums too. It's not limited to this one.
I am very familiar with forums. Flooding with messages and abusing the voting system is not normal. The attitudes and flaming are, and even the average spam. I'm just saying, there is no need to defend or give a nod to anyone acting completely over the top.
Other forums have much stricter rules. OWS is a leaderless movement. OWS does not believe much in authority. Which is why I think the forum is not very strict.

Strangely I agree. I never really thought about it before, but you're right. Anonymous does have a point now that you point that out. And they are somewhat effective. But, I'm just guessing, I don't think Renaye/Ranaye would want you using a female sexual body part in a derogatory name calling kind of way Why would you use that term in a derogatory way?
