Forum Post: Re-val Time: Is OWS the Left's 1% Pied Piper or is Confusion/Ignorance the Problem?

I think BOTH!!!

And that works for the 1%-Cons, but NOT for the 99%.

So can we get it out in the OPEN? What are we doing here??

I think we all know that there are many handles/user names that are falsely representing themselves, and some with multiple handles/user names, who are working to stymie any organized effort to free the country & government of 1%-GOP tyranny. They do it under the guise of Anti-Dem & Voting retaliation. Of course under our current system, anti-Dem and anti-Voting results in Pro-1%-Cons and Pro-Fascism. But it seems that many don't realize this, or care.

People, we have a two party, representative-democracy system. When we don't participate we forfeit our democracy. Which hands our government over to the highest bidder, the 1% and their employees, the GOP. Hence, the GOP has descended to a Cult that worships the 1%, and we are left with a 1%-controlled political aberration which forces some Dems to kiss up to Big Biz just so they can stay in government and try to fight for the people. We need to make all elections publicly funded, banning private funds, to circumvent this corruption of our political system.

This Big Money domination of our government could be checked and largely avoided if more of us participated, Voted. But in the last election 2/3 of the electorate FORFEITED their rights to Vote. I don't think it was a mass accident, in my vast political experience, I think one third was just too stupid to Vote as usual, and the other third abstained out of misconception and petulance.

As I, JiffySquid, wrote my friend, Norman Goldman: People, young Voters, view the political playing field and see a bunch of players all wearing the same uniform with the same name, POLITICIANS! Nuances and dissimilarities are invisible to them, all they see is a false equivalency, brawling mass. They NEED the labels so they know who is doing good and who is doing bad! Different uniforms and labels to tell them which TEAM to root for! They can't tell without loud and clear differentiations! Take differentiating labels and colors away, and 2/3 say what's the difference?!

We can NOT take away labels or omit language just because insane 1%-Cons have smeared, slandered and demonized them! When we do that the REAL TERRORISTS win, the 1%-CONS!! As we see TODAY! Wake up!! Label the bastards, label the goodguys, give the American People a Clear and Distinct choice!

Did I mention that you, Non-Voters, let an Ebola and ISIS political equivalent GOP loose to run roughshod on our government? Almost as bad as 2010, because it was a census year, which facilitated massive Gerrymandering. Well, I did now. Now you idiots know what you did by smugly, arrogantly and ignorantly forfeiting your rights to participate in our democracy, and go AWOL. And just as you blindly see both parties as the same and/or blame Dems for our problems today, you'll most likely double-down on your misconceptions, misdirected blame and retaliatory disengagement when the new wave of problems wash over you as a result of your being conned and played by the 1% Right, to their utter delight.

"You don't vote, you don't count!"

Non-Voters may enjoy Idiocracy, but the rest of us do not deserve it, and we would be wise to make accommodations for the "Politically Challenged" among us. Because seeing what they are capable of, the 1%-GOP is going to do everything they can to support and encourage them, even more than they do now.

What is the point of your post?

None of your audience, non voters, can see your rants, as they will not visit this site, and be spoken down to by the likes of WSmith, who simplifies the issues and amplifies the factions, making us choose one or other, and not right vs wrong.

EDIT also check the tap. Americans need to start worrying about their tap water BY JAMES

Americans have come to take for granted that they'll have access to clean water when

Yet, cracks are appearing in the system

OK, I fixed it. It was a long day, yesterday. But what's your excuse? You sound like that goofball in Tampa, or one of the halfwits in my neighborhood association. There is no "right" or "wrong," just varying degrees of more right and more wrong. It's all a giant compromise. That doesn't mean we let petulant and naive imbeciles drag us all into Idiocracy! WTFU! It's Class War and we're losing!

Here, on OWS, are we strategizing how we can rid the country of 1%-Con tyranny, or are we arguing, chatting and sabotaging efforts to strategize?

I see zero strategy. Zero effect. Lots of defense, excuses and recrimination. And massive failure as a new huge wave of 1%-Cons sweep into our local, state and federal governments.

There needs to be reevaluation, disclosure, mission statement, are real effective plans to move forward and out of this dismal failure!!!
