SO i am getting no response from various econ blogs and such regarding something i noticed while doing some writing. Are there any economists or investors in the house?

In investing there is a graph formation called a "Triple top" Or a " head and Shoulders" shown here http://stockcharts.com/school/doku.php?id=chart_school:chart_analysis:chart_patterns:triple_top_reversal If you look at the Down jones, S&P and other current indexes, they appear to be in a triple top patter with the formation starting around 1998 - 99. In addition, the Employment to population ratio starting in 1983, here ( http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_nSTO-vZpSgc/TL82yE0nMLI/AAAAAAAAJkc/BodcmYETZ8A/s1600/employment+ratio.png ) also appears to be in such a pattern. What does it imply for economics if clear patterns can be seen on both micro and macro levels, in disparate areas, and they appear to be the same patters?

Looking at patterns in technical charts in order to predict the future of stocks or economic activity has the same scientific validity as looking at constellations in order to predict the future of your life.
