Gov. Siegelman is a Dem political prisoner imprisoned by the Reps for offering same nonpaying job to same individual as 2 previous governors.

From Dana Siegelman:

"Thanks to you, people like Martin Sheen, Mimi Kennedy, and Ski Johnson have signed the petition and now The Daily Show is considering the story!

Next on the wish list is MSNBC! Can you help me call producers? Just remember, they are on our side, and it helps to be nice! =)

They can cover the story from several angles:

-- Human interest (Siegelman's daughter fights for father's freedom)

-- Tis the Season of Compassion and Presidential pardons; who will President Obama pardon?

-- 112 Attorneys General, Top Constitutional Law scholars, and other notables call on President Obama to grant Don Siegelman clemency

-- Republicans want Rove out, Democrats want Don out!

-- Congressman Parker Griffith (AL) speaking out, joins growing list of Republicans in support of Siegelman's freedom. Have him on the show and ask him why!

Rachel Maddow Show Amy Schuster +1 (212) 664-4444 amy.shuster@nbcuni.com

Up w/ Chris Hayes Diane Shamis +1 (212) 664-5660 diane.shamis@nbcuni.com

For those of you with energy left...

Please call the ACLU and ask them to get involved in helping my father. They can send out an email blast asking people to sign the petition! 212-549-2500

In fact, any organization that focuses on issues of democracy, justice, human and civil rights should be advocating for the release of Don Siegelman!

Please continue emailing me with ideas, suggestions, connections and consider donating toward us having a professional communications director! Thanks so much for everything you are doing to free my dad.

Dana" http://mad.ly/840053?pact=13030273864&fe=1

Why only these 2 progressive shows? Why not all news outlets.?

I think the Siegelman family/activists feel they already have a foot in the door regarding these two shows.

Can't argue with that. I've heard them both discuss it. I think the better target should be a network nightly news show!

Bigger audience.

If you copy the portion of your post that has "formatting" and paste it in your edit window it goes back to normal.

Don't forget Now with Alex Wagner. She's really hot, so I like to support her.

Knock yourself out. If you send pics don't mention us.

I promise nothing :)

We'll have to deny knowing you at all. Freakzilla, who's that?

Those two have no desire for anything besides keeping their job. At least Maddow is funny, Hayes is just pathetic, he's terrified of OWS core points.

They both have basic decent streaks in any case. If featuring this horrendous situation would harm their positions then we are in a lot worse shape than I thought.

I watch Hayes dodge issues on the Fed, Goldman, bought politicians constantly. Its a shame we dont have more choices on TV that will simply call out ALL the bullshit, as opposed to only half of it or just ignoring it all together.

Come on, you can't ask that individuals to commit career suicide just to stay pure. Posts on the Fed routinely disappear here.

Chris Hayes frequently has Occupy members on his show. He is a great progressive who consistently supports the progressive change we are fighting for.
