Forum Post: OWS needs to get serious.

I know too many people that would otherwise be in full support of Occupy Wall Street if you met these criteria:

-Have a specific list of demands. How can someone agree with you if they don't understand what you want? The "99%" thing is too vague... I know this is a leaderless resistance but it's almost aimless too. This is about corporate money controlling Washington D.C, just have a list of demands about that.

-Stop looking like deadbeats, hippies, and otherwise unrelatable freaks who no one will take seriously. Wear polos and khakis, you have to look like the workers you represent that are being screwed. Even my very liberal parents think the protesters are just a bunch of circus freaks so they don't follow this on the news. Opponents of OWS claim the protesters are unemployed because they are lazy and deserve their position in society... to be honest people with dreadlocks and too many piercings playing drum shows and painting people's faces to look like zombies DO LOOK LIKE THEY HAVE NEVER WORKED A DAY IN THEIR LIFE.

The people in Tahrir square protested with seriousness and purpose, the crowds looked like Egypt's people. I think OWS needs much more of that now. It can't just be a spectacle of aimless crowds that seem like they are part of an underground cult. We need to be more professional and educated above all else, this is the core to success.

to get serious requires a few things they don't have. like chat admins who aren't ego serving propaganda tools, a wiki, 1001 sub forums, an actual game plan, a straight up political platform... you know.. basic organizational things sane people do BEFORE protesting.. like figure out a diplomacy and logic centered metaprocess to give their chatadmins so that they don't really just drive out even more people than the trolls. Adminatrolla. trollaAdmin. Whats the difference to somebody whos got the truth facing a propaganda tool abusing admin powers to push their agenda? how can you prevent such a thing? Metaprocess. did i mention metaprocess? and science diplomacy science psychology science sociology and all those textbooks to read B4 protesting?
