Grandparents will take their grandkids out on the tour and tell them proudly :

"This is where it all began...

This is where we decided to take back our country...

This is where America was reborn.

We kicked out our oppressors just as our forefathers had kicked out the British in 1776."

AGREE!

Only a fool would want a violent revolution. There are an estimated 270 million firearms in America today. It's very easy to start shooting ; the hard part is knowing HOW TO STOP.

In the present context, violence is not even an option. Non-violence is THE ONLY WAY FORWARD.

Don't bet on it. The spot where those students were killed at Kent State is now a parking lot.

At least when Banks rape people they have them sign documents allowing it first.

accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. July 4, 1776.

[-] 1 points by TIOUAISE (2526) 12 years ago

"...It is their right, it is their DUTY..." I always loved that part.

Our forefathers had a sense of HUMAN DIGNITY which got lost somewhere along the way in our materialistic, consumeristic stupor, but which OWS is helping us to rediscover finally.

Jesus was an 'indignado".... Just think at how he raised a whip to chase out of the Temple the greedy money changers who were the Wall Street criminals of the day! There is great dignity in such indignation.

The majority of our Fore Fathers were rapacious collectors and buyers of all things chic and stylish. anything that was a new European style they had to have.

God Bless Them

And God have mercy on you parasitic little TROLLS...

[-] 1 points by The1capitalist (87) 12 years ago

trolls=someone you disagree with

what a good little commie

[-] 0 points by TIOUAISE (2526) 12 years ago

Wrong definition! Look up "troll" on Wikipedia... and buy a mirror.

[-] 1 points by The1capitalist (87) 12 years ago

ok, troll

[-] 0 points by TIOUAISE (2526) 12 years ago

P.S. I'm not a "commie", never was, never will be. I'm a "Christic", i.e. someone who tries to follow the true teachings of Jesus on Social Justice.

[-] 1 points by The1capitalist (87) 12 years ago

"Social Justice" is a scam and a lie that has been pushed by the left for decades. Social Justice is the want of the "gimmie gimmies" in this world who want to be given other people's things.

The Lord would never agree with you forcing your boot on the throat of another so that you could take their money and property for jealousy and covetousness, excuse me..."social justice"

To give from the heart, to give when not forced, is a virtue. It is the only true gift. To be forced means nothing. If you don't take the time to personally give to charity or to another human being because you want too, but only support and hence give, in taxes because you have too, is not a virtue. It is a lazy man's excuse.

[-] 0 points by TIOUAISE (2526) 12 years ago

FYI, Social Justice was THE focal point of the teachings of ALL of the Great Jewish Prophets, including of course Yeshua (Jesus).

To quote that famous passage from Matthew 25, which addresses the crux of those VERY ISSUES that are being hotly debated in America today :

31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blesse

d of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:

43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

MA 25:31-46 (King James Version)

You don't get it

To give is necessary and proper. It is one of the most rewarding and virtuous acts God has given us to perform.

TO FORCE another to do so is not

To force another through coercion is despicable and disgusting.

To advocate the idea and disseminate it throughout society, that one people is entitled to another's property is ruinous. For evidence, look around at popular culture, the "gimmie gimmies" have created a generation of me's, i's, & want's.

To make people believe that they are owed something because they exist does nothing but perpetuate sloth and greed. An all encompassing idea of the self that is justified in the taking of another's property.

[-] 0 points by TIOUAISE (2526) 12 years ago

If I don't get it, then let Jesus speak for me :

"WOE UNTO THE RICH!!!!!!!!!!!!"

[-] -1 points by RichardGates (1529) 12 years ago

TIOUAISE, i din't know you actually made postings! but i do know you are above petty arguments, stop letting people bait you :)

[-] 1 points by TIOUAISE (2526) 12 years ago

TROLLS are parasites and losers. They should get a REAL job and make an HONEST living.

[-] -1 points by owstag (508) 12 years ago

TIOUAISE is a nice person, but this post is kinda sappy. Sorry TIOUAISE; your enthusiasm and positive frame of mind is cool and all...

[-] 2 points by TIOUAISE (2526) 12 years ago

I AM enthusiastic and make no apologies for it.

So if I offended your cynical sensibilities... well take it like a TROLL!

[-] 1 points by owstag (508) 12 years ago

I'm not trolling, just being honest. If I was trolling I wouldn't have prefaced my remarks with nice words about you. I've seen enough of your posts to tell you're a nice person, though I disagree with some of what you say.

Your post reminds me of those cheesy commercials where they're trying to create a 'folksy', homespun vibe, and they show images of grandfathers playing with grandchildren in a rural setting, with the mellow narrator saying stuff like "this is a happy place...". It usually ends up being an ad for some medication or an insurance company or something.

Anyway, I'm just pulling your chain a little; 'it's all good' as they say.
