OFF THE CLIFF
I'm curious what a bunch of very smart people think about
this concept floating around Washington:
OFF THE CLIFF
Since 95% of the Rs have signed the grover norquist pledge
NEVER to vote for raising taxes, they will never vote to raise taxes
ONLY on the 1% this year,
therefore, we must all go OFF THE CLIFF.
This means ALL tax rates will AUTOMATICALLY go up on Jan 1 2013 -
and the country will go OFF THE CLIFF.
I have heard some Rs who seem quite scared of this scenario,
because the next step, as soon as the house is in session in 2013,
will be the Democrats proposing a tax cut for the 99%.
Someting the Rs dare not - not vote for.
I think this idea is brilliant. What do you think?
Dems being clever. Imagine that. I support it. Great post. thx
I really like the comics :)
Now, as I see it, these guys are the worst poker players of all time. Obama folded, and they said "no, we'll play it out anyway." I mean... Ok, if you have a winning hand, but they didn't! LOL... It's gonna be a lot funnier in about 100 years.
Never vote for raising taxes.... This is the most retarded idea in the world. A clear way to protect the 1% billion dollar fortunes. And it came from guess who? The republicans.
These Republicans will be SO kicked in the next elections. Pelosi and the Democrates will be back and I believe mr. grover should pack up his bags asap to leave to his tax-evasion buddies in the cayman islands along with good'ole romney.
Hurry up, the clock is ticking for the next US HOuse of Representatives elections!

bravo!
FYI -OT Do you know where "Uncle Sam" came from?
in the war of 1812, butcher Sam Wilson provided
barrels of meat to to the army & marked them "US"
The troops would say the meat came from "Uncle Sam"

I like it because it's also the only way to force pentagon cuts. I'm tired of watching the military manufacturers and contractors sponge off the nations wealth. The military should be doing all that in-house anyway to avoid paying a profit margin on top of overhead.
I like your pentagon cuts idea ( and all reverse-privatization ) but I dont think that has any connection here.
These are about letting the bush tax cuts expire.
You stand corrected http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/45755883/vp/48235591#48235591
