They are the one that talk you into this be free, be very "intellectual" and be what you want and forget about reality. You owed them most of your debts...they are the one taking all your money. So let's rally up and occupy your school!!!

p/s While you at it, quit smoking, sell your ipad, iphone, imac, smartphone, jewelery, and all the eyeliners you are putting on.

Carry a sign or a message on a tshirt at your campus, but if this is going to be a national movement we cannot keep it on campuses, this is too big for that and the TRUE TARGET IS THE FEDERAL RESERVE! END THE FED!(CENTRAL BANK)

"A government that governs least governs best"-Thomas Jefferson

"The refusal of King George to allow the colonies to operate an honest money system, which freed the ordinary man from clutches of the money manipulators was probably the prime cause of the revolution."- Benjamin Franklin (referring to the Central Bank of England, which like our Federal Reserve is a private corporation owned by banks that prints money OUT OF THIN AIR. The Federal Reserve is the USA's third central bank, abolished twice, yet back, does that not make you wonder why we have one and understand the persistence of bankers?)

"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency(They control it through the Federal Reserve/Central Banks and control all of europe through this mechanism), first by inflation, then by deflation,(The Federal Reserve increased the money supply 5 fold since our current financial crisis, so inflation is going to hit hard and will hit virtually overnight) the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs".-Thomas Jefferson

'Give me control of a nations money supply, and I care not who makes it’s laws" -Amschell Rothschild Central Bank Chairman, England Chapter

Amen Slave303! More people need to be educated in the history of this country and the quotes from our fore fathers. Thomas jefferson is turning in his grave at this once great country! It has been proven through time that governments only last around 200 years before falling apart. We are due for this revolution(or revalation to some!) because we have had our same system of government for 240+ years. We all need to be prepared, this is a great movement, a need movement, but I bet alot of people are not ready for it to succeed. It will get worse before it gets better. We need change, so everyone needs to band together, help you neighbor because time of action is now. "Dont Tread On Me"

You can occupy where you want. Wall street was a great place to start with this movement. If they didnt start there, then it would never have spread like it has. And not all schools do like you say, but I will give you that they do have most of americans debts.

Actually, you're completely right.

People don't want to admit this, but college is a grand fallacy. In fact, if you read Howard Zinn's A People's History of the United States, he cites that many colleges were built by robber barons to create their lawyers, managers, doctors, etc.

College is an ironically conservative institution intent on keeping the status quo.

I support the 99%. But this idea is just as important if not more.

It's OK, don't be afraid of what you don't understand.

[-] 1 points by Occupythishipster (10) 12 years ago

What's so hard for you not to understand? You are repeating the whole 70s Sex Pistol era, anarchy etc. The fact is you went to school for some drama but yet you don't have the talent for it..guess what?

Keep guessing, you will have to read some books and actually wake up to reality before you will get it right.

Oh yes. The hipster trying to educate the oink like this article mentioned. http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/brendanoneill2/100108713/the-teenage-moralism-of-the-occupy-wall-street-hipsters-almost-makes-me-ashamed-to-be-left-wing/

Maybe you should expand your reading materials a little bit. It might help your outlook.

Wow, got any thoughts of your own? Of course not, just repeating what you are brainwashed into.

But I will defend your right to say it, and say it, and say it.

What your grand idea then Mr. Intellectual? Do you want to quote from Chomsky?

[-] 1 points by gadflydigital (180) from Wantagh, NY 12 years ago

"Social and political issues in general seem to me fairly simple; the effort to obfuscate them in esoteric and generally vacuous theory is one of the contributions of the intelligentsia to enhancing their own power and the power of those they serve. "

  • Noam Chomsky

I think he supports your idea that college is kind of bogus in some regards.

[-] 1 points by doingsomething (50) from Raeford, NC 12 years ago

I don't know any Chomsky quotes. Sorry

And I am not an intellectual or formally educated, just jerking your chain, like you were jerking mine, with your post.

Ohh, and I will read yours if you read mine. Deer Hunting with Jesus, by Joe Bageant
