Apparently it’s against the law to broadcast lies and call it news in Canada so stuff like FOX news and Rush can’t go out over the airwaves there.

When you can’t tell the people a pack of lies I guess they vote for people that do stuff that’s good for people, imagine that!

UPDATE 10/21/2012

Here in America it's all FOX all the time, anybody remember 1984?

  • and Sarah Palin calls for liberals to treat conservatives with the same respect shown them."

Honestly, can there be any doubt? I've been doing my utmost to do just that . . .

Great article!!!

I have just 3 words -- "Americans are stupid!!! (Ars)"

Why can't we get an anti-lying broadcast law passed? Ars.

Why do we allow Repugnicons to repeatedly spew their lies and deceit, and THEN elect them anyway? Ars.

Why do we think that Dodd-Frank will reel-in WS corruption? Ars.

We are a collection of stupid, stupid, stupid people. Canada has higher SoL, universal tax-supported healthcare, and now I hear about anti-lying broadcast law that keeps truth-only on the airwaves instead of our confusing shitpile of filth from the right wing, rich-funded, capitalistic, elitest, money-hoarding, planetary-destroying, psychopathic, evil-loving, hypocritical, white-washing (R)epugnicants.

Once there was a fairness doctrine and Walter Cronkite:

And before Walter there was Edward R. Murrow. Now we have all three MSM networks just trying to stay alive for market share against Fox, CNN, etc.

Walter would just report the news. Now we have endless commentary and opinion designed to sway the public. They need to STFU and get back to just reporting the news. I don't need their opinions to make up my mind. But this has been the strategy of the power-elite who own the media outlets for several decades now. Bombard the public with their bullshit agenda for long enough and you will eventually own the political system because you would have siezed control of the majority of American opinion.

I think we could bring back the Fairness Doctrine

I wonder what the Robert's Court would say about it though?

Another way Canada gets it right before us.

I knew a doctor from there with an office here and there, he went back and forth, he got fed up with insurance crap and went back to Canada full time said he made more there after he paid all the expenses here.
