WOW, they really must feel threatened by us. We must be doing something right.
Expect more hardcore smear campaigns against OWS and every attempt imaginable to destroy this movement. They are sending out their movement "hit men" to do the dirty deed. Let's be wise to there devises.
I feel the general public will not listen or educate themselves since all they watch is main stream media. When I try to talk to them or give them a website to go to they get this glaze over their eyes ... most do not want to know the truth. They are just to busy with their little lives and what they can buy.
You know Karen I constantly think of Ray Bradbury's novel Fahrenheit 451 and the society the protagonist Guy Montag lived in. That society was blind and easily distracted and brainwashed by what ever was on the boob tube. In the end they all got nuked. You know, I feel like a Guy Montag who has woken up to the truth and is surrounded by blind, brainwashed, and completely lost people. I really feel you pain.
One day the rug will be pulled out from underneath them and then they will wake up. But, sadly by then, it will be too late.

That is really the most positive change I have seen from OWS so far...people are waking up. We need to get louder to wake up the real heavy sleepers. I am seeing people all around me who used to not care one way or the other about these issues starting to engage in conversation and find out what their own positions are on important issues. Change is already happening

Bank lobby basically just wants control of parties - republican or democrat. The OWS message they don't want out is basically the message that politics (both parties) have failed us, the banking/political revolving door and tight relationship (almost one entity in itself) needs to stop, and both political and financial fraud needs to be prosecuted, prevented, accountable, and transparent.
That is so true, that is why we need to include all voices and not cling to any left right ideology this is an inclusive movement of the 99% of Americans who have felt the pain that comes when your voice is overshadowed by corporate interests

Shoot, what amazes me most about this report is how little they are offering for $850,000 in funds! I mean, all their "deliverables" put together are what I would expect a properly functioning WikiProject (a user group on Wikipedia) to be capable of. (True, not all WikiProjects are functional...)
Assuming this is even a vaguely serious proposal, these companies must have money to burn! It really makes me wonder... is there a way that liberal but not completely intransigent supporters of OWS could get together, form an Occupy Lobbying group, and sell their services to one Wall Street firm provided that the goal is to target another? I mean, we all know Anonymous can get dox as good as anybody, and we know there are some very creative people in Occupy who can make good video, and there are people who can do well with the media. And if such efforts were made, well, it might create disunity and paranoia between the banks like some kind of hippie-run COINTELPRO. ;)
This was just one copy. It would seem feasible that this was directed to more than just one organization. If they got ten organizations to pay for their data it would be 8.5 million.
I'm pretty confident that this document was mailed to more than just one group and it definitely wasn't the first or last of it's kind.
I love the line about identifying leaders of the group. Ha Ha! they have absolutely no clue how to deal with a leaderless movement of people with real and valid concerns that 99% of Americans can relate to. The whole document would be humorous if it was just this one. But if there is one lobbyist group trying to do this you can be sure there are hundreds of other documents like this with even more money and better organization.
I really hate when people such as the ones in this document call the protestors 'extremists'. Most of them would just be considered mainstream social democrats or democratic socialists by European standards. Americans get too close-minded and conservative with politics; the political spectrum is surprisingly narrow in America.
This is all good news. Spread the word.

Documents like this need to be read by all Americans so they can better understand this mysterious thing called lobbying. We must always be one step ahead of the lobbyists. This document shows the lobbyists strategy and plans for a major million dollar smear campaign as well as clear and direct threats to politicians that they will lose the financial support of the American Bankers Association in their election campaigns if they are not on board with this smear campaign. It is funny that they think throwing money at the OWS "problem" will help, they could just clean up their ways and stop wasting teachers pension money on anti-OWS campaigns and we will go away but that would be too easy. Clearly they still don't get it, so we need to be louder. We will continue to use our most powerful tool...that is the fluidity of this movement to change strategy on a dime. We must continue to be adaptable and flexible. Any warrior would kill to know their enemies plan of attack. This is an extremely valuable document lets not waste this opportunity to expose their plans. Forward this document to every news station and media outlet big and small that you can find...see who runs the story and who doesn't.

You must have been reading my mind. Call it 'Rogue's Gallery' like in the good old days. No need to start a new website. Go over to 'occupyr.com' and see if they'll do it. Another option is go to OccupyThisWiki and just add your own page. Make sure to include a picture of the 'guilty party' plus a list of their crimes.
Oh, the "Shame on You " list is a superb idea. They slimy maggots operate in secrecy--by spotlighting there dirty deeds it will definitely hurt them and educate the American Public at how low they guys will stoop for $$$.
