Sent this day 8/28/2012 An Open Letter Addressed to The President of the United States of America and to all of the currently seated members of Government and to all of the citizens of the USA to the people of the world and to all governments. Please Handle and deliver/share as you would a letter delivered by the USPS.

Mr. President and all currently seated members of Government and to all the citizens of the USA, to the governments and people of the world.

1st let me state that these letters I send to you I also send out on social media to all of the citizens of the USA to read as well - and I suppose it could be considered as open letters to the world also.

Anyway today's subject: Jump starting the re-Birth of the USA.

This letter is mainly to the People of the USA.

I Heard a comment: I agree on the renewable energy idea, but of course, without completely replacing our current transportation system, (an economically daunting task}, we still won't be free of the need for oil.

I responded: Sure some type of oil will be needed for use as a lube - but we do not need to continue to burn it.

We can change all of that - here at home and to the rest of the world. We need not be on a path of perpetual armed conflict.

We have the technology - we have the capability we certainly have the need.

It is all here and ready to use - and this is just what I have stumbled across.

Spread the word.

Green Tech. New and improved - now with Liquid Metal Battery for efficient power storage and distribution.

This is where we should be going: Green Energy we have the technology we just need to use it. This is what I am talking about. A clean future to be implemented NOW!

Support green energy technology - industry - jobs. Save our world save our economy.

Rework free trade agreements as they are currently detrimental to the Business, Employment, Economic and Environmental health of the USA and in extension the world.

Put an end to outsourcing for Profit over People and the environment.

Stop world wide corporate abuses of people and environments.

Give this some serious thought/consideration.

I received this response: Just one thing. I've seen you post this before. I know your heart is in the right place on this, but please. E cat is NOT available and is quite possibly a scam. I know you would not wish to mislead people so I'm suggesting you leave it out of your list. I am hopeful that LENR has a future but so far, no one has produced a practical device. Andrea Rossi , (the guy behind the E cat), is a bit sketchy.

To which I replied: A Thorium reactor is quite possible while we work towards an E-CAT. Thorium is cleaner and safer then uranium and has a much smaller footprint.

I received this reply: Yes, Thorium reactors are a proven tech.

I continued: That is where we should be going for replacing old decommissioned power plants - and then there is also:

FuelCell Energy http://apps1.eere.energy.gov/news/progress_alerts.cfm/pa_id=600 Excerpt from the link - Energy Department Applauds World's First Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Energy Station in Orange County. http://www.fuelcellenergy.com/products.php

I got this next comment: ok, and moving people like in europe - there will be problems no matter how we work it out but cars have got to go - at least in the way we use them now.

To which I replied:

There are alternative fuels for them as well.

Hydrogen fuel cell cars

The next comment I received: once again we agree but who is going to inform them - wall street - obama - certainly not ryan.

And this led me to making this comment: It has to happen through public activism. Just like the state by state campaign to remove corporate personhood - Move to Amend. It will need public education so that they understand what we are facing and that we have alternatives - then it may well take a government style stimulus ( kind of ) to get it going. Interest free loans to small business to get them retooled. Then interest free loans to get the infrastructure built purchase the new equipment and hire the needed workers. This has to go with restarting much in the way of manufacturing to get USA citizens back to work making the products and materials needed for these infrastructure and transportation changeovers. This means leveling the economic playing field so that outsourced products will come to the USA market along with imports at a competitive cost to the domestically made.

Nothing good can happen over all economically until domestic manufacture is supported by the governments trade policies.

The stock the government still owns of GM would be very useful in getting them on board. The other manufacturers would no doubt follow suit if the new Hydrogen fuel cell cars ( water vapor exhaust ) started selling. And why wouldn't they(?) they can basically use the same engine - just recarb it for hydrogen burning instead of gasoline.

FURTHER: Remove subsidies from fossil fuel and place that money into The rebirth of the USA and we have a pretty good start. Along with proper taxation of the wealthy - and the end of corpoRAT welfare. Perhaps see about doing something about the trillions of dollars hidden offshore.

I recieved in reply: As i said i hope you are right but i am betting the farm (literally) that you are wrong. we do not have time before resource scarcity shuts down whatever we try to do. china knows it and they have a plan. we do not have a government or business class capable of the term thinking that it takes to pull out of this mess. buckminster fuller called it in 1969 but we were too stupid to listen. once again i will be happy if you are right. the investor jeremy grantham has written about the coming resource scarcity if you are interested. stephen leeb is another one who is interesting to read.

To which I said: It is why the public needs to be informed as of yesterday and we need to get very busy - involved busy.

AND SO I SENT THIS LETTER OUT TO YOU ON TWITTER - PLEASE RE-TWEET IF YOU UNDERSTAND THE ISSUES AND THE URGENCY.

UPDATE 11/27/2012:

From: NASA: alternative fuels for aviation | Energy Bulletin

Excerpt from article:

Other alternative fuels result in airplane performance penalties. For example, liquid hydrogen (LH2) not only presents very substantial airport infrastructure and airplane design issues, but because of the need for heavy fuel tanks, a short-range airplane would experience a 28 percent decrease in energy efficiency while on a 500-nautical-mile (nmi) mission. However, because airplanes need to carry much more fuel for a long range flight, and Liquid Hydrogen (LH2) fuel is quite lightweight the lighter takeoff weight of the airplane results in an energy efficiency loss of only 2 percent while on a 3,000-nm mission.

Then I just found this article on liquid hydrogen from Air Products a company that supplies liquid Hydrogen to NASA:

Safetygram #9 for Liquid Hydrogen - Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. www.airproducts.com/~/media/Files/PDF/.../safetygram-9.pdf File Format: PDF/Adobe Acrobat - Quick View Liquid hydrogen is used in large volumes in the ... specially trained employees of the liquid hydrogen supplier .... may be vented and might collect should be ...

I think all environmental efforts will prove for naught; how do you regulate resources that we do not own?

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 1 year ago

It is not for naught. We must stop burning things! We must stop polluting our air, water, and food.

This is obvious to me. All of us must begin by using less energy.!

There was a day I suppose, long before most of us were born... 1943 perhaps... on that day, as the sun set in the eastern sky, the US unknowingly closed its eyes only to awaken in the morn, with more men under arms, as the dominant force of world war... and so began the almost seamless transition of power, Pax Britannica to Washingington's Americana... the global baton of influence had passed.

It began with the money; London has only recently made its final payment for our war effort.

Rising powers take full advantage of those in decline; the next emerging power shall not even be anglophone - we will not only loose our ability to influence but even to communicate.

So much for your "environment" and your concerns; all is subservient to the greater need of influence.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 1 year ago

I guess there is no hope?

[-] -1 points by funkytown (-374) 1 year ago

No... because we are no longer capable of producing the next "greatest generation."

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 1 year ago

Oh well. Should we give up? Just find a corner to crawl into?

Geoengineering: Let's refreeze the caps.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 1 year ago

Sounds energy intensive, and counter productive. Maybe we should all just stop using so much energy. Everyone should cut back some. That would make the biggest impact. Eventually the caps will refreeze if we start there and continue all energy tech evolution.

[-] 0 points by funkytown (-374) 1 year ago

Maybe... but we can't simultaneously disempower while expecting to expand the anglosphere of influence.

The use of A/C is now at an all time high; we're expending more and more energy to remain comfortable as if terminally ill and cranking up the morphine.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 1 year ago

It does seem like a losing battle. But it remains that the best way to cut pollution is for everyone to use less energy!

We must convince people to do that! We will of course continue the energy tech evolution, thatis unstoppable. The govt should be encouraged to invest in the energy-tech and the ads to get people to use less.

If we do that we'll be fine. Have no fear.

[-] 0 points by funkytown (-374) 1 year ago

Ok ok... I'll recharge the battery on my bicycle but still, I think, we peddle up hill.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 1 year ago

Don't give up. That is the only way we lose.

What resources are you concerned about?

[-] 1 points by funkytown (-374) 1 year ago

If we do not alter our present course, China will eventually own a significant portion of all world resources; additionally they will own all of our entitlement programs as government everywhere is forced to privatize.

Open letters to the President make OWS look like a bunch of wimpy cry babies who can't fight the system, but instead legitimize it by making demands.

OWS is anarchy, and anarchists don't write letters to the President. That's something that's reserved for old retired men who still believe in the government system, not for modern day activists.

Imagine Sea Shepherd writing letters to Obama and friends. Please.

[-] -1 points by werone (-37) 1 year ago

Just the OP.

[-] -1 points by electron (-492) 1 year ago

The fact that this site supports the OP with open arms, that the OP is a moderator, and that the OP has the highest score here makes us all look bad to new comers.

Is there something further from anarchy than writing letters to the President? Isn't that what naive 8 year olds do during their nationalistic teachings in primary school?

[-] 2 points by shadz66 (17964) 1 year ago

This 'talking to yourself' has just got to stop !!! More for those who may love you and your own sake than ours really !! All this multi-monikered mendacities and manipulations are going to make you ill ... again !

You Are A Pseudo-Anarchist ; Socially Liberal ; Conservative Reactionary. You Do NOT have the best intentions of OWS or The 99% in your mind(s). As for your continuous attempts to undermine this forum ... nothing else really needs to be said - unless you wish to provoke me further, that is.

caveat ...

[-] -1 points by werone (-37) 1 year ago

It's sophomoric. Not mod material, who made that boner?

[-] -1 points by electron (-492) 1 year ago

Maybe we should use this site to write a letter to the President all together. Lol

[-] -1 points by werone (-37) 1 year ago

No loling in class, everybody put your head down on your desks for one hour!!
