This content is user submitted and not an official statement

The other thread on race is far too full, and so much new info has been ignored.

Never fear........FLAKESnews is still blowing all the dog whistles it can.

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2012/10/14/mark-sanford-obama-will-throw-a-lot-of-spears-at-next-debate/

But no, they're not racist.........they're just bigots.

Whether we like it or not race is part of almost every political and social issue these days; and it’s not a subtle as it was a just few years ago. Seems to me there truly is a racial divide on most things. Not acknowledging it won’t make it go away. I think racial resentment is growing on all sides. I don’t know the solution. Just saying racism is real and persuasive among all groups. It seems every race feels taken advantage by one or more other races. And I guess that includes religious affiliation. I'm not sure this can be solved.

[-] 1 points by justiceforzim (-17) 11 years ago

It might be lessened if Obama and the media quit playing the race card. And Chris Mathews hears a dog whistle anytime a conservative speaks.

It's a shame, because I really thought we had and were making a lot of progress since my childhood until the Great Divider-in-Chief was elected. You cannot criticize our POTHEAD-in Chief without being called a racist.

Here’s a post I found on another site. I didn’t write it, but it makes some good points.

Part of being equal is listening to other races and trying to improve your imagine.

We whites like to live within safe and clean communities. I understand not all blacks are harmful towards society, but way to many are. I used to have black friends so I know this for a fact. Every single one of the top 20 most "deadly" cities in this country persist of a large population of blacks(30%+). Chicago has over 75% of all murders caused by black gangs and around the same for New York... http://bjs.ojp.usdoj.gov/content/pub/pdf/htus8008.pdf Bureau of Justice Statistics Homicide trends in the U.S.: Trends by race

Guess what, whites don't want to raise our children around such and we do White flight away from it. So yes some of us do have a bitter attitude against blacks, it's true. I understand with 72% of all black children being raised within a single family(no dad) that is part of it. http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nvsr/nvsr55/nvsr55_01.pdf

Whites just haven't been totally forward with the black community as we don't want to hurt your feelings. These are real issues that we're going to have to talk about. Want to be equal? Please be able to listen to us as that's a must within a country we both need to live in.

Officials in New Orleans are considering tightening a youth curfew in the latest attempt to fight crime in a city with the nation's highest murder rate and what its mayor has called "a culture of death." puts the city's rate at 10 times the national average. And this year promises more bloodshed. Twenty-five people were murdered in Orleans Parish in January, according to the coroner's office.

Canada's independent prisons ombudsman has launched an inquiry into a 50 per cent spike in the proportion of black offenders filling federal jails over the last 10 years.

Howard Sapers, the federal correctional investigator, wants to study the possible causes behind the increase, which saw the proportion of black offenders in federal incarceration jump to 9.12 per cent in 2010-2011, from less than six per cent a decade earlier.

It amounts to a 52 per cent leap, with the most dramatic increase occurring over the last five years. Black people make up roughly 2.5 per cent of Canada's population. http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/stor...ck-prison.html

About 10.4% of the entire African-American male population in the United States aged 25 to 29 was incarcerated, by far the largest racial or ethnic group—by comparison, 2.4% of Hispanic men and 1.2% of white men in that same age group were incarcerated. According to a report by the Justice Policy Institute in 2002, the number of black men in prison has grown to five times the rate it was twenty years ago. Today, more African-American men are in jail than in college. In 2000 there were 791,600 black men in prison and 603,032 enrolled in college. In 1980, there were 143,000 black men in prison and 463,700 enrolled in college.

In the United States in 2005, 37,460 white females were sexually assaulted or raped by a black man, while between zero and ten black females were sexually assaulted or raped by a white man. What this means is that every day in the United States, over one hundred white women are raped or sexually assaulted by a black man.

The latest NYPD statistics show that crime is centered overwhelmingly in minority-group neighborhoods — buttressing a key argument Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly makes to justify his controversial stop-and-frisk policy. Citing an NYPD analysis of stats for the first six months of the year, Kelly said Wednesday that 96% of shooting victims are black or Hispanic — and in 97% of all shootings, the trigger was pulled by other blacks and Hispanics.Kelly in recent months has repeatedly said minority-group leaders and civil liberties advocates complain about stop-and-frisk tactics but do nothing to help combat crime in minority neighborhoods. A review of the statistics, contained in a report, “Crime Enforcement Activity in New York City,” shows that minority-group members also represent 89% of murder victims — and 86% of murder suspects. There are similar numbers for felony assaults — 81% of victims are minorities, as are 88% of the suspects.

Call me racist if you want, but I don’t want my family around dangerous people. If that means avoiding black communities, so be it. Am I raciast because I don’t want to be around dangerous people?

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Wow you make a great case that crime is related to race.

Do you have any stats on crime by white people? Or maybe they don't commit crimes?

[+] -4 points by jbgramps (159) 11 years ago

Crime is race related. To ignore that may get you beaten to a pulp one day in the hood.

I don't know the exact numbers, but blacks make up about 20% of the population. Whites may commit more crimes since there are more Whites. But Black are out of the ball park in the ratio of who commits crime.

[-] 2 points by JesseHeffran (3903) 11 years ago

Wow, home boy, you watch way too much television. You are probably one of those scared little girly, girls that don't go no where because you are scared of your own shadow. Do us all a favor; lock yourself in a gated community and never come out.

I understand your fear. It's a generational thing. You allowed the media to tell you how dangerous it is out there, where as I found out for myself. You realize, statistically, you should be more scared of getting into a car accident than being a victim of violence.

[-] 1 points by LetsGetReal (1420) from Grants, NM 11 years ago

It's out of the ballpark in who gets convicted of crimes.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Have you ever been to "'da hood"?

[-] -2 points by conservatroll (187) 11 years ago

Your karma points for that statement just goes to show that we cannot have an honest discussion about race in this country. Or gun violence, for that matter. Some Milwaukee LEO testified this wk on gun violence at the Capitol and his statistics bore you out. In fact, over 70% of the victims of gun violence in Milwaukee are themselves criminals. Until we can talk about this without being called racists we cannot talk about it at all. It's really sad how liberals discourage honest discourse. I had high hopes when obama was elected that race issues might be discussed and mitigated, Sadly, they have only gotten worse since his idea of leadership is to employ organizer skills which are, by their very nature, divisive and destructive.

What about mass murders?

http://www.rolereboot.org/culture-and-politics/details/2012-07-why-most-mass-murderers-are-privileged-white-men

Is it ok to raise a family near the more likely white mass murderer?

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

How about this.

Who told white people that 80% of crimes are committed by black people? They always find random websites to back their claims, well (thanks to another user :-) ) here is a GOVERNMENT website that shows that 70% of all crime is committed by WHITES. They are most of the population, why would people honestly think it would be any other way???

http://www.fbi.gov/ucr/cius2007/data/tab… this is 2007 because 2008 is still being worked on... but why do so many people love to say black people commit the most crimes??

Additional Details and why are black men still stereotyped as rapists when they have NEVER committed more rapes than white men. Most sex abuse is within families or people you know. WW are least likely to be raped by a stranger! Native Americans women get raped more than any other group in America, and its done by WM.... do people care abt the truth??

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Here's a link that shows almost 60% of hate crimes are committed by white people.

http://www.fbi.gov/sandiego/press-releases/2011/fbi-releases-2010-hate-crime-statistics

Do you feel like you can't raise your family near white people now? Or are hate crimes ok?

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

The links are still dead.

Just a glance through the thread on Detroit tells me a lot about that area of the forum.

Shallow.

[-] 0 points by jbgramps (159) 11 years ago

Shooz, I didn’t create the broken links. They were part of the original post, which I already stated I didn’t write. I’m not going to chase someone else’s broken links, But be my guest if you wish.

Sigh, I seems to me your attitude is if you’re White you are automatically racist and should be begging forgiveness from non-whites. You also seem to think Blacks can’t be racist. You call out every poster that doesn’t agree this that philosophy. Your hard line is part of the problem. Just going around yelling “racist” at every turn makes things worse all around.

I suggest putting some thought into the cause and effect of racism; and how to address it rather than foaming at the mouth at every perceived racial statement. But in the end I think you just want to stir the pot and not really look for solutions. Have a nice day.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

What have you determined the cause & effects of racism are?

[-] 1 points by jbgramps (159) 11 years ago

Nope, I don't understand the cause and effect of racism. I'm of the opinion it's a natural human trait and can't be fixed. It's part of the human condition, IMHO.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Oh well If it is natural maybe we should just embrace theracism and slaughter each other.

What about those who are of mixed race? Do they get to be lynched by either group.?

[-] -1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

In the end, it's all just an elaborate ruse of an attempt to legitimize racism.

Have a nice day................................:)

PS: I've added several more examples for your perusal, but you either didn't bother, or didn't care to admit the truth.

[-] -2 points by marvelpym (-184) 11 years ago

So what's your opnion on the racist crap Stacey Dash received for endorsing Romney? It must have made you furious, right? Since you HATE racism.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Are you still at it?

Please provide your definition of an "Uncle Tom".

[-] -2 points by marvelpym (-184) 11 years ago

You just never answer questions, do you shooz? Evasive, evasive, evasive.

Take a lesson:

  1. Yes, I am still at it.
  2. Uncle Tom is a racist term designed to keep black people who try to have their own opions in line with how Liberals think they should act

Are you calling Stacey Dash an Uncle Tom? (like you're gonna answer that)

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

I did answer it and the same goes Ms. Dash.

Now will answer anything at all?

You are totally wrong on your definition.

Take a look around the thread.

Racism is rampant in the GOP, and it's supporters.

[-] -2 points by marvelpym (-184) 11 years ago

Russell Simmons would like a word with you:

President Obama supporter, Russell Simmons, stated in a recent blog entry on GlobalGrind.com that ‘Clueless‘ actress Stacey Dash knows what she is talking about and is much smarter than people will believe, despite her support for Mitt Romney.

He disagrees with her but as he continues, “Here’s my point: Being angry Progressives is equally as bad as being angry Conservatives. And I don’t support it. In fact, I admire her courage and I support her right to use her voice, even if I personally think her opinions are misguided and “bullshit.”

He has the guts to call what she went through racism. You could learn a thing or two from him.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

[-] -2 points by marvelpym (-184) 11 years ago

Of course it can be solved.

And it aint true that all groups the same. That minimizes the group that has been oppressed for 400 years.

And please let's not forget 1 race still holds the vast majority of power. One group has no power! Hard to oppress anyonewithout power.

Right?

[-] 2 points by justiceforzim (-17) 11 years ago

Only 400 years? We women have quite a lead on them and you don't see us hearing dog whistles every time a man speaks!

In which case minority women have dealt with the most oppression. Is that what you are saying.?

"woman is the Ni@#er ofthe world" JL

Is your point that minorities should stop complaining because women have had it worse.?

And who is blowing that dog whistle?

[-] 0 points by Barfnow (-16) 11 years ago

How can the problem be solved?

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

by people coming to the realization that we all do better when we all do better?

That we are all one race, the human race.

That we should treat people the way we want to be treated.

Simple.

[-] -2 points by marvelpym (-184) 11 years ago

"One group has no power!"

Except for the presidency of the United States of course.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Oh so because Pres Obama is of half Kenyan descent, African Americans all of a sudden have power?

LMFAO.

Please, Does that seem at all racist to you?

Maybe you were joking? Tell me you were joking.

[-] -1 points by marvelpym (-184) 11 years ago

Not joking at all. Seems like some power to me, as opposed to "no power!". What would give them power in your eyes? or power! if you like.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Well power in America is centered in who controls the corp board room no?

Who controls the banks, the property, the politicians, the judicial system.

I have to explain to you what power is in America? Being a half black President does NOT mean more power for black people.

That sounds kinda ignorant. But I think you know better. You're just pullin my leg. Tell me you ain't ignorant & you're just pullin my leg.

[-] -1 points by marvelpym (-184) 11 years ago

I ain't ignorant. It's just a weird accusation on your part. It reminds me of when people would go on about how the army was racist, even though Colin Powell was in charge.

Plus, I'm pretty sure John Lewis and some other folks would have a bone to pick with you about your accusation that they are controlled by white people..

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

I think every politician (of all races) would have a bone to pick with me about my accusation that they are controlled by corp 1% (white) plutocrats.

Who gives a shit what bone they might wanna pick?.

I should say that the great John Lewis is probably one of the few politicians with a good measure of independence.

Andthe army was and is racist notwithstanding the half black Colin Powers position of power.

One leader of color does not eliminate racism. Please tell me you are kidding. You can't be that ignorant.

[-] -1 points by marvelpym (-184) 11 years ago

I already told you I'm not kidding and I ain't ignorant, but it's nice to see you acknowledge that Colin Powell did have power.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

I disagree.

[-] -1 points by marvelpym (-184) 11 years ago

You said black people have no power because whites control everything. Now if you want to disrespect our President and every fine African-American serving in Congress, as a business executive, or as a judge and dismsss them all as being puppets, you go right ahead. I can't be a part of that.

Good day Sir.

[-] -3 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

I hope you don't think that was insightful. It wasn't.

It did not address the attempt to make it legitimate either.

FLAKESnews is uninformative, divisive and derisive as it is.

This shit is Way OVER THE TOP.

It's racist.

[-] 2 points by jbgramps (159) 11 years ago

I’m truly puzzled by your type of attitude. It just seems people who think like you ignore reality and prefer to think we will all join hands and sing kum-ba-yah. The real world doesn’t work like that. It’s astoundingly naïve to think racism isn’t prevalent in all races. I’d even say it’s a root motivation in most situations. Racism may very well be a basic human trait. It has been so since the dawn of man. If you ignore it you will never make headway in racial inequities.

It’s one thing to be positive about resolving racial inequities, but a complete different issue to think you can stamp out racism.

[-] -3 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Puzzled?

You shouldn't be. I HATE racism.

It's your attitude of acceptance that is puzzling. that and your lack of comment on the actual link and the info provided.

Calling racism "natural" is nothing short ignorant.

It's a learned trait.

Now will you comment on the link?

[-] 4 points by Mooks (1985) 11 years ago

Unless you can mind read I doubt anyone really knows what that guy meant. He didn't come out and say he was a spear chucker, regardless if that is what he was thinking.

Obama is likely going to lose a ton of votes because he is black but also gain a lot of votes because he is black. I don't think it was coincidence that a higher than normal proportion of blacks voted in 2008.

I think it remains to be see if racism is going to have a net positive or net negative effect on Obama.

[-] 3 points by justiceforzim (-17) 11 years ago

More blacks voted and over 90% voted for you know who. But, that's not racist.

[-] -2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

The racism is very, very real.

How real?

Take a count of how many in this thread are defending it. Yourself included.

[-] 2 points by jbgramps (159) 11 years ago

OK, I’ll comment on the link. What I read was someone made a statement that someone else construed as being racist. I have no idea if the comment was intended to be racist or just a way of describing something. It happens all the time. Ultra sensitive folks cry foul at every perceived racist remark whether it’s really racist or not. It’s become a ploy a lot of people use these days. Just find a way to put someone on the defensive. These kind of incidents lessen the impact when real racist remarks are made.

I don’t like Fox News. Most people know it’s not really news. I simple ignore anything that originates from Fox. I feel the same way about most cable news channels. They’re not really news at all; but you probably already know that. The three major networks are a little better, but even they are starting to follow the cable news strategy. I don’t trust any of them. I don’t want their opinion. I want news fact. But people seem to prefer news that is spun to meet their views. That’s probably not going to change.

[-] -2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

You shouldn't defend racists.

It's unbecoming.

A waste of time, really.

[-] -1 points by marvelpym (-184) 11 years ago

You defended racists when Mia Love was attacked. You HATE racism unless it's directed at a Republican. Then you get all evasive and quiet.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

I didn't defend. You just ignored what I said.

On topic you never really commented on the OP.

You just attempted a distraction.

Not only that but I also provided further proof, that you also ignored.

Ignore, being the root term of ignorance.

[-] 0 points by marvelpym (-184) 11 years ago

"They don't care for her. You do understand tokenism?"

US politics is about race most of all. One reason even our neighbors in Canada have a more decent social order than we do is because they don't have a region like the American South where people are still bitter over the war that ended slavery.

[-] 2 points by Underdog (2971) from Clermont, FL 11 years ago

The human race often behaves as if it had only recently come down out of the trees (perhaps it was a mistake for us to come down at all). For most of human history, wars have been fought with stone implements, then bronze swords, spears and horses. The Iron age brought only modest improvements. Most of our history has been a history of hunter-gathers, then farmers. Primitive technology was all that was available for thousands of years. Then, in a historical blink of an eye, we get the Industrial Revolution and all scientific disciplines converging to produce the modern world.

How is slow-to-evolve dimwitted humanity to cope with the technological explosion? Apparently not well, because those who would profit from the stupidity of racism (a built-in biological fear of that which is different) can now use mass-media brainwashing techniques to further the fear that is necessary to perpetuate their agenda (like the MIC, for example).

It is profitable to brainwash young men and women and teach them that they should grab their rifles and fly halfway around the world and kill someone they do not know because their government says do it.

It is profitable to demonize other races, colors, and creeds and put them at odds against one another in order to create death for dollars, rather than for them to realize and understand the fundamental similarities of all races, colors, and creeds.

It is profitable to appeal to the fear center of the human brain and to exploit the amygdala's tendency to kill first and ask questions later.

Yes, it is very profitable, and that is why the forces that dominate the world seek to perpetuate misery and death. Remove the profit as to why such barbaric attitudes and beliefs should exist and persist, and there would be no advantage in maintaining those attitudes and beliefs. Humanity could finally put the scourge of racism behind itself and focus its attention on far more worthy endeavors than stupid ethnic and racial wars funded by the 1% war profiteers.

There is a reason or reasons for everything if one looks deep enough. Asking why things are the way they are, and looking at the motivations for keeping them that way, is the key to understanding the world.

[-] 3 points by jbgramps (159) 11 years ago

Grand speech. However, If I have to walk through the hood at night I want to be armed. Your words have no value after dark in the hood. It’s not racist, it’s facing a reality.

[-] 1 points by Underdog (2971) from Clermont, FL 11 years ago

Perhaps you should just face the inevitability of your mortality, whether now or 20 years from now. With one less gun being carried in the world, the world is denied one less gun death. If you ran into "the hood" and you killed them and they killed you, then at least 2 gun deaths (maybe more) have occurred rather than one. Get the principle?

Did Ghandi or MLK carry a gun? One could argue that they certainly should have carried "protection". But they knew that if the cycle ever stood any chance of being broken that they would have to show the way of peace. Peace does not come from carrying a gun. A gun is an instrument of death and violence. Perpetuation of savage impulses. Positive proof that the human race has not evolved at all. Barbaric animals in the past, present, and future. Insanity on earth. Ever think about the fact that an atomic bomb is just a big gun? Death, death, death!!! Is violence all the human race will ever know? If we don't evolve beyond it, and soon, the nukes will do us in eventually. It is only a matter of time. So if you care about staying alive so much, start building your bomb shelter in your basement like people were doing in the 50s and 60s. Is staying alive THAT important if collective human madness is assurred? Step back and look at reality objectively. Humanity's current course is insanity!!!

[-] 1 points by jbgramps (159) 11 years ago

Are you seriously suggesting that people not protect themselves? What if a small child were being beaten or injured and you had the power to stop it by shooting the bad guy. At what point is it OK to defend yourself or others with a weapon?

I legally carry a gun and I’m almost seventy years old. Never had to draw my weapon. My rule is simple. If you trying to harm or kill me or others I will take action to prevent it. Like it or not, there are a lot of very bad and dangerous people in this world; and they do not share your feeling of peace and love. Guns save lives.

[-] 0 points by Underdog (2971) from Clermont, FL 11 years ago

If a small child is being beaten or injured you do NOT have to shoot. Break up the violence without causing death (if you have to carry something, how about a small baseball bat or a blackjack). Even pepperspray would surely stop someone from beating a child.

Guns save lives? Guns TAKE lives!!! That is their only function for existence. Efforts should be made to render perpetrators of violence incapasitated via taser or other non-lethal method. Since people are barbaric animals, violence will always continue, but R&D into ways to render people unconcious, but not dead, should be made. My wish would be that a form of temporary neurotoxin delivered by tranquilizing dart would incapacitate an assailant until police could arrive and take him/her away.

[-] 3 points by jbgramps (159) 11 years ago

Ok, this gun talk is off topic for this thread, but I’ll make one last post. No one should ever use a gun unless their life and safety, or someone else’s life and safety are in imminent danger. That means you have no way to escape or retreat and must use whatever means necessary to protect yourself. That’s the law in most States. (we can discuss stand-your-ground at another time).

Baseball bats, clubs , blackjacks, pepper spray and tasers don’t work when someone is larger, more powerful, faster or shooting at you from over ten feet away. A gun is an equalizer. It gives the victim a fighting chance that might not work with other weapons. A 120 pound women or an elderly person won’t stand much of a chance against two large males trying to assault them unless she has a gun. Also, it seems these days attackers come in multiples, I suggest high capacity magazines are important in self defense these days.

You don’t like guns? That’s OK with me. To each his own. But to just say guns are evil simply isn’t true. Just ask the young mother in Oklahoma with an infant, home alone, when an assailant with a knife kicked in her front door. She shot him dead in the doorway. I doubt you’d be able to convince her guns are evil.

[-] -1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

And just how do you explain this to a 3 year old?

Or that kid that killed his whole family with his brand new Christmas .22?

You guys always miss that part.

[-] 1 points by jbgramps (159) 11 years ago

OK, I concede guns are used to commit crimes. They’re also used to save lives. That’s the point you don’t want accept. I’m out of here. Just beating a dead horse.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

So then throw the three year old "criminal" in jail?

You were never really here to leave.

The children always die from gun violence in your paradigm and you will accept nothing else.

FUCK the kids as long as you keep your guns.

You will accept no compromise to save a single innocent life.

[-] -1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

I'm wit' 'dat.

You make good points. incapacitate.

Enough with the killing!!

[-] -1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Guns kill and injure innocent children too and the problem is one you refuse to deal with in and way that would save those kids.

[-] -1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

But your gun hasn't saved lives. Most people with guns do not save anyone!

Is that an argument that maybe it is a little too much firepower for a problem that is rare.

Could we agree that criminals & crazy people should not have guns right?

[-] 2 points by DanielBarton (1345) 11 years ago

What if he said throw punches would it mean that he is referencing him to Muhammad Ali and in that self would it be racist? Come on this is the weakest "racist" comment I've heard all year.

dont look for racism where an idiot is speaking most likely theyll say it with out realizing it

also stop hating on fox new the more you reference them the more money you give them bad press is still good press in the eyes of today's marketing.

Also the spear may have been the greatest weapon of all time. Spears conquer all of the ancient world it helped the Romans and Spartans defeat enemies far greater than their own. There is no shame in using a spear.

If i was Obama i would say that im sharpening my spears and aiming to hit the target

The drug wars are about race. Some are even calling it the New Jim Crow.

"I believe marijuana should be illegal" - Mitt Romney and Barack Obama

Why do they both support the drug laws?

Are they racist? Or just plain stupid?

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

The "drug war" is about controlling profits. Alcohol production and distribution laws are the same thing.

The appearances otherwise, are where the racism and socioeconomic issues come into play.

Those laws are just a handy dandy cover for the activity.

Care to comment on some of the links I've provided?

[-] 2 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 11 years ago

"Greedy Bastards have re-branded racism and made it acceptable again, by calling it "the war on drugs." - Dylan Ratigan

Why won't you answer my question?

Why do both Obama and Romney support the drug laws? Are they racist or just plain stupid?

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

I find the question illogical.

You should ask it of this Mr. Ratigan.

I don't entirely accept his premise.

[-] 1 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 11 years ago

The drug laws are illogical.

How about I simplify the question:

  • Why do both Obama and Romney support the drug laws?
[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Status quo and vested interests.

Now that I've answered your question twice, will you answer mine?

[-] -1 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 11 years ago

I know you know that Romney is corrupt and works for private interests.... it's nice to see you finally admit that about Obama too.

The only reason to support the drug laws is CORRUPTION. Fuck the system. The status quo needs to go! MILLIONS of non-violent citizens have become political prisoners because of these bullshit corrupt laws. Families have been torn apart because a member chose to grow some flowers and breath them in.

To answer your question if I will look into your links and comment on them.... I already know Mitt Romney and republicans are corrupt and some of them are racist. The hard racists are usually more at the local government level but they make it to the federal level. Just look at how no one is doing anything about the drug laws. Also I reply on your posts and comments all the time.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

You didn't answer the question.

They never answer the question, but the sure demand answers to theirs.

In case you are wondering, the question I want answered is the one proposed in the OP of the thread.

You know, a return to the topic at hand.

[-] 0 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 11 years ago

there is no question in the OP

But if you have a question, ask away in the reply below and I will answer it.

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Good, then you understand that the statement is true.

Much of it still is all about racism.

[-] 0 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 11 years ago

Racism still exists.... it sure does.

Just look at how the drug laws have been used to put black people in prison.

CIA was running dope through communities and arresting people for it when the government was the one who supplied it.

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

You know that's not what this is about.

Here's yet another example.

http://www.christianpost.com/news/texas-church-sign-calls-obama-muslim-communist-83550/

Not as blatant, yet just as bigoted and racist.

Hear the dog whistle yet?

[-] 2 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 11 years ago

Some people don't like Obama because he's black? Is that what you're trying to say? Racism still exists. I know that.

I don't like Obama because he murders people with bombs in foreign countries and supports the drug laws.

[-] -1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

But still no comment at all on all the racism that's been aimed at him?

Much of it quite blatant.

A lot of it posted in the 2 threads on racism.

And if those are your 2 reasons, then you must HATE just about every president for the last 200 years.

But your vehemence is aimed at just one of them.

Further reflection might be in order.

[-] 0 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 11 years ago

I have not supported a president in my life time. Americans vote for terrible politicians a majority of the time. I did support Obama in 2008 when I was still young and gullible.

Fuck the system. The government is corrupt. You should have seen me during the Bush administration. I think they let 9/11 happen so they could go to war in Iraq and the middle east. But go ahead and try and act like I only talk about Obama... You're starting to sound like VQ

I do not like the racists and I do not support or vote for them.

Unfortunately it still is, at least for the GOP and it's adherents.

"Habituation is one of the simplest forms of learning and, when bad behavior is repeated regularly, it becomes unnoticed and the person exhibiting it has no need for self-analysis that may inform them their habit is harmful. For most of this country’s history, white supremacy was the unequivocal governing ideology, and despite the struggle for civil rights for all Americans and the election of the first African American President in 2008, anti-African American racism is still prevalent in the population and within the conservative movement. Subsequently, it drives most of the opposition to President Obama and by extension, the Democratic Party and sadly, the President’s wife Michelle Obama."

That has NOTHING to do with the racist statement made by the FLAKESnews "contributor".

NOTHING.

Racism is part of the GOP base these days. Do you think it might have something to do with a black man in the presidency?

I do. I think it has a lot to do with it.

Now that's true fear.

Fear of your own mind.

[-] 2 points by jbgramps (159) 11 years ago

Aw Shooz, You need to get a grip. You seem to see a racist every time someone sneezes. Just because someone doesn’t agree with you doesn’t mean they’re a Klan member. I hate to use a Stormfront phrase, but you sound “anti-White”; which is racist itself.

On another race related point. What do you think of the case before the Supreme Court where a otherwise qualified white student was rejected for admission because she was white. I mean do you believe in race being partially used in college admissions? Is it racist to think it should be a consideration?

[-] -2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

I wouldn't mind, except for the simple fact that they really are racists.

It's you who needs to "get a grip".

https://twitter.com/BuzzFeedAndrew/status/256913512314585088/photo/1

You must have missed the previous thread on the subject, but there is NO shortage of racism in the GOP.

None at all.

[-] 1 points by jbgramps (159) 11 years ago

There’s no shortage of racists anywhere, liberal, conservative, black, white, brown, gay or whatever. Racism transcends almost all other things. That’s the point you don’t want to accept. Racism is pervasive and rampant everywhere. Apparently you don’t want to see that.

[-] -1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Still trying to thin out the proven racism with unproven"facts" you've made up?

It's not going to work. You haven't really commented on either one.
