Now if only they would make the CEOs wear the sandwich boards and walk around Wall Street.

Something like "I kill 1200 people a day so I can have this private jet".

Absolutely approriate.

Heres a little story about how execs conveniently make successful trades right before good corp news, even though they obviously aren't supposed to trade on insider info.

The CFO of my company did this a few weeks after a round of meetings with all employees warning against it.

I raised the issue with the ethics committee you should have seen them squirm, I backed off after a bit it wasn't like I was going to get any FTC interest, as you say happens all the time.

Pretty disgusting. We should have half as many cops on these crimes than we have on non violent street crimes.

See how quick it ends when a few do some hard time.

the cops are there to keep the worker bees in line, the Royals live by different rules

Yes. Congress cut money for prosecuters of fin crimes. That must be restored and increased.

I've always thought we should have a tv show like "cops" but for white collar crimes. I think it would be very popular.

All fines, like traffic tickets should be based on annual income, so the punishment would be the same for all instead of what we have now where, just because your grand-daddy owned a oil well is no reason you should be able to break the law with no real consequences. This may sound petty but it creates a minds set to these people, laws are for little people, if you do get caught it's just a few bucks. For some a $200 speeding ticket means no Christmas gifts this year, to others it means a smaller tip for the waiter that night, the pain should be the same when you break even the little laws.

Yes. Widespread in europe. Look at this $290k fine.

That'll learn 'em.

Cops are worker bees.

Need to make that point clearer to them.

They are but as we saw in WI the 1% are willing to pay the cops over firemen or teachers, they know that when or if stuff gets real they will want the cops on their side, look at what happened in LA in '05 Blackwater teamed with the cops to keep the poor folks out of where they didn't belong.

People will do terrible things if it keeps them just a bit above others that are getting the things done to them.

Hi facts,

Incorporation allows too much protection for executives. Corporations are tools for the worst people to get power.

Corporations are wrecking the world, and should not exist.

There was a time when they were dissolved after they served their purpose.

Good Point

I am not surprised that people don't see it, the corporations are magicians of distraction. We have allowed these hugely powerful organisations that have no concern for the common good to arise within our mist.
