1) Limit financial influence in politics. - Many things can/must be done. Regulate and control lobbyists. Create a financial cap that politicians can accept and spend on elections. Restrict travel and good-will trips by politicians.

2) Control illegal immigration. - Prosecute businesses that hire and/or use undocumented laborers. Stop allowing anchor babies. Stop providing any assistance to those that have entered this country illegally.

3) Restructure our military. - Stop providing military protection to any country without being compensated financially. Focus all of our US funded military operations on current and potential threats to our citizens safety. This includes a presence in the Middle-East and Southeast Asia.

4) Tort Reform. - Modify the justice system to limit awards in civil litigation.

5) Tax Reform. - Implement a progressive tax on ALL income. We all pay the same rate on the first $20K. A higher rate applies for income between $20K and $40K...$40K-$75K...$75K-$125K...$125K-$200K...etc.

6) Limit Foreign Aid. - Aid to foreign countries should be for humanitarian reasons only. Aid should be in the form of goods and services not $.

7) Limit and Restrict Social Safety Nets. - Limit the time frames for those on welfare, food stamps and housing subsidies. Require drug testing and community service for access to these programs.

8) Legalize Marijuana. - Create an industry of businesses and jobs. Eliminate many trials and incarceration costs. Generate new income source.

Sounds as if you are you are at using some normal sense. The Federal government should get out of our business. As long as one does not infringe on another, people should be allowed to live a life without even hearing of the Federal government. Bring back state sovereignty.

State sovereignty...I'm guessing that you know a little bit about our constitution. Thanks for your response. There are so many posts on this forum that are filled with nonsense, yet they attract so many comments (including mine to be honest). I may not be the most politically knowledgeable, but I thought that my suggestions were feasible and would provide a step in the right direction. If nothing else, I hoped to initiate serious discussion. Perhaps those on this forum would rather engage in fantasy...

If you were kind you should give free, unlimited porn to all citizens via the Internet. Oh, wait. We have that already.

Utopia is achieved.
