I think man, in creating God, somewhat overestimated his ability.

Technically god might be a he-she, or hermaphrodite.

Does not create a good visual for me. But I think I get the concept.

Just reading into the plural references in the beginning of Genesis... "Let us make mankind in our image"

Good one Beamer. Did you ever read any of Flannery O'Conor's stuff? She is, (was) super, excellent.

Well, only when you come to the realization that both your perception and your experience of reality

is elastic.

It can drive you mad.

Judge for yourself - I have a website. Usually that convinces most people.

My profile has links to stuff I've posted here and the link to my website too. I could be right out of my mind . . .

Define what you mean by "God" please queenann. Do you mean a "Man-in-the-Sky" who continuously creates all psychological-physical existence...or just stands back and watches?

[-] -1 points by queenann (-220) from New Rochelle, NY 13 years ago

I think He is beyond our human understanding. But he is definitely involve in things!

[-] 2 points by JesseHeffran (3903) 13 years ago

the computer is making man god, we are witnessing birthing pains. God is understanding. no?

[-] 0 points by queenann (-220) from New Rochelle, NY 13 years ago

God is mercy most of all.... That is a good thing for alot of us.

[-] 2 points by JesseHeffran (3903) 13 years ago

would it not have always been the devil who underestimated God?

[-] 0 points by queenann (-220) from New Rochelle, NY 13 years ago

good point Jesse. you are on your toes....and an present a theologically sound question.

[-] 2 points by infonomics (393) 13 years ago

Who is your antecedent, God or man?

[-] 0 points by queenann (-220) from New Rochelle, NY 13 years ago

what?

[-] 1 points by infonomics (393) 13 years ago

"I think God, in creating man, somewhat overestimated his ability." What is the antecedent of "his", God or man? The conundrum assumes greater understanding when we admit that God did not create man, but man created God, a fact that O'Connor, a Georgia Catholic, would not likely admit. Anyway, for wisdom let us call upon Schopenhauer who wrote for enduring posterity, not a fiction writer who wrote for the moment.

That song was written by the late great Laura Nyro. She recorded it also, sounds better than B S and T, In my humble opinion.
