So the threat of hurricane can be very telling of leadership.

Who balied:

  • The Entire R Party. Canceled on Monday. Typical cowards. Scared of some rain.

  • Joe Biden. Couldnt make it happen for some reason. Way to wimp out Joe. Lets not even talk about Obama refusing to come and address the thousands of protesters.

Who was there:

  • Rocky Anderson- there, talking, being part of it. Not afraid of some rain.

  • Ron Paul- there, talking, being part of it. Not afraid of some rain.

  • Cheri Honkala- there, talking, being part of it. Not afraid of some rain.

It was very clear after one day who was there to do what coventions are meant for- hash some shit out, mix it up. And it was very clear who belongs to the big club and could give a flying fuck about the people in attendance.

After witnessing the process of these socalled "conventions"...it just helps to reinforce that this entire system is broken as it is now.

the 2 party system hijacked the government a long time ago.

Nothing in the constitution lays out an electorate process as what we see today. The constitution doesn't even contain the words democrat or republican. Yet everyone thinks this is "how it is" so vote for the lesser of 2 evils.

What they did to the RP contingent was criminal. You have read about the new rules they passed while keeping the VA delegates outside? The states no longer have control of their own delegates. Will probably vote for Obama since I will probably vote for Gary Johnson. We need a viable 3rd party!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The fact that "lesser of two evils" is how the majority look at it shows just how pathetic it is.

And its because we dont have anyone else stepping up. Its why OWS gets so pissed when people try to turn it into a Dem thing. Someone stated that a few on here would be better off with moveon, and I think that was a good idea.

Very partisan. nothing on recreating the new system?

Why would Obama or Biden talk to OWS? We do not support Obama. You are blaming Obama for something you are asking him to do, Stay away!

Seems like unfair criticism.

Um, but there were pro Dem groups protesting the RNC, not just Occupy.

Joe was the one who said he was coming down, no one pleaded to get him here. He made that decision on his own.

LOL i love how this guy calls you partisan in an anti-dem way when this post starts out calling the entire republican party "cowards"

"we do not support Obama"??? VQ, somebody must be posting with your username LOL

Well I don't speak for OWS, but I'm pretty sure OWS does not support any particular candidate. I've never said we do.

I support replacing conservatives with progressives.
