When I think of all of the troubles in this world.

Then I think of the birth of OWS Occupy 99% and all of the movements against greed corruption and crime .

I can not help but remember another time and another movement.

As much time has passed and as much as things have changed some things remain the same.

Move to Amend - update.

The National Campaign to End Corporate Personhood and Demand Real Democracy! Move to Amend

Dear Supporters,

We want to send out a big THANK YOU to everyone who called - or tried to call - Sen. Dick Durbin's office yesterday to ask that MTA be invited to speak at the Senate hearing next month!

We don't know how many calls were made, but Durbin's lines were jammed ALL DAY LONG, so rest assured - whether you got through or not - we made our voices heard!

You called in from all over the U.S. (including Hawaii and Alaska!) to report on your calls, and that was very helpful.

Towards the end of the day, we started to get some very interesting report backs from people who actually did get through to Durbin's office. Durbin's staffers started to tell callers that THEY had reached out to MTA, and that MTA either: has been invited; will be invited; or, that discussions are ongoing about MTA's participation.

That's not exactly true -- WE reached out to Durbin's office, not the other way around; and, we have NOT been formally invited to participate in the hearing, YET . . . but it is a hopeful sign!

We will let you know, immediately, if we do get an invite.

So, on behalf of the entire Executive Committee, I want to thank you again for responding so overwhelmingly to our call for help!

ONWARD!

Steve Justino

MOVE TO AMEND

PO Box 610, Eureka CA 95502 | (707) 269-0984 |

www.MoveToAmend.org

We, the People of the United States of America, reject the U.S. Supreme Court's Citizens United ruling, and move to amend our Constitution to firmly establish that money is not speech, and that human beings, not corporations, are persons entitled to constitutional rights.

[-] 1 points by atki4564 (1259) from Lake Placid, FL 11 years ago

To sideline the trolls, we need a new constitution for new times, as follows:

We the peoples, in order to secure Freedom and Justice for All, do enact this Constitution for Strategic International Systems LLC (or SIS LLC) as summarized in the following Business Operations Forecast:

The customer value mission of SIS LLC is (1) to organize all customer-investors into 3,000 investment squad sites of 16 friends (or virtual specialties), and related internet investment legislatures of 50,000 friends (or virtual towns), requiring (2) a $20 weekly capital contribution for 1 year (or $1,000) to (3) create your investment club bank of 50,000 friends (or physical town) -- that is, having $50 million in initial assets -- which (4) due to the operation of today’s fractional banking system becomes (5) $500 million in new annual business loans (or $10,000 in new annual individual loans) from yourself as a new bank officer to yourself as a new business officer who (6) takes 75% employee business control as business officer-investors and 25% customer business control as bank officer-investors of (7) your specific 12 businesses (or investments) in your new bank investment account wherein (8) your investor voting power equals (9) your 1 of 12 levels of experience in (10) your 1 of 12 sectors in 1 of 50 industries in 1 of 200 occupations in 1 of 3,000 specialities which (11) votes-upon your purchasing (or investment) orders as (12) proposed by your employee-elected chain of command.

This means you will have 75% employee business control over your workplace as business officers and, as bank officers, 25% customer business control over all 12 investments (or businesses) in your new bank investment account. In turn, with this 100% town-level business control of your 3,000 workplaces, you can decrease your 12 customer consumption expenses by 75% for services, vehicles, education, retail, food, construction, technology, manufacturing, wholesale, health, justice, and banking expenses; that is, over your first 12 years of SIS LLC membership using a 75% more effective and efficient town design, and related 3,000 workplace designs (herein). Furthermore, while creating your new town & workplace design as described by this constitution, you will replace today’s communist big businesses, and related big governments, with your new small investment club banks, and related small businesses (or investments), as proposed, financed, and patronized by your 3,000 investment squad sites of 16 friends (or virtual specialties) in your internet investment legislature of 50,000 friends (or virtual town).

Why? First, because today’s executive business income (mostly from bank or financial asset income) is 33% of all income which is a huge amount of upper 1% income to split among yourselves as new bank officers having 25% customer business control, right? Second, because today’s executive business wealth is 42% of all wealth which is a huge amount of upper 1% wealth to split among yourselves as new business officers having 75% employee business control; that is, only after becoming new bank officers (above) first, right?

For example, this means if you earn $12/hour today, then you will earn $36/hour tomorrow after adding (1) your old wage income, plus (2) your 33% (more and new) interest income as a new bank officer, plus (3) your 42% (more and new) dividend & gain income as a new business officer. Together, these 4 sources of wealth & income from your specific 12 businesses (or investments) will double your net worth every 6-12 years (until retirement); that is, from the compound interest decline of today's upper 1% executives whom you will replace as the new bank & business investor-officers. So, with this power, let’s end today’s communist big businesses, and related big governments, okay? How? By helping to operate your own Business Operations Forecast (above) at http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/StrategicInternationalSystems/ ; so help us help you, today!

Good night everybody.

I hope you enjoyed the show no fingers were pointed at individuals to entice them to post here. No bait was laid.

They appeared and attacked under their own impetus.

I was perhaps a bit short tempered - and I will just say this about that - as the years go by I find I have much less tolerance for the truly sick and twisted supporters of greed corruption crime pollution ... and well you get the idea.

This post was supposed to be a simple comment on uniting together and moving forward in health and prosperity for all and how to recognize those who were not of that frame of mind.

I believe - and correct me if I am mistaken - that the trolls made themselves quite apparent.

Anyway it was fun despite the crappy internet connection today.

Good Night.

See you all again later.

No, it's to wrestle control back from the unions. See, government is supposed to serve all the people, not just the people that work there. Radical, I know.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Your efforts and those of your candidate walker are clearly designed to get American workers fired and to take away their rights!. Nobody believes your spin. You don't care about American workers. You speak for the 1%.

[-] 0 points by RealityTime (-224) 11 years ago

No, they're designed to reform government and to get government back to serving everyone and not just the entrenched few in the union.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

You hate American workers while you kiss up to the 1% who have bankrupted our country. You have no honor!

[-] -1 points by RealityTime (-224) 11 years ago

I stand by more American workers than you do. I stand by the taxpayers, you stand by the entrenched few in the government-class.

Sure, the "1%" bankrupted Illinois alright. The 1% in the corrupt government unions and their stooges in government. Government employee unions are the biggest financial problem facing Illinois by far.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

LMFAO!. American union workers are the salt of the earth, Police, firefighters, teachers, sanitation! The wall street 1% you defend created this great recession. to say otherwise plays into the 1% playbook. Stop being a stooge. Support OWS. Vote anti union politicians.

[-] -1 points by RealityTime (-224) 11 years ago

This is the con-game, passing government union workers off as just another part of unionization. Ordinary unions bargain with companies for the best deal they can get. Government unions throw everything they can into hand picking their negotiating partners in elections, then sit down to negotiate. Big surprise, they then clean the place out. It's corrupt and it's wrong.

Wisconsin is a great example of unions taking their upset over a labor dispute straight to the ballot box. The recall is the union's attempt to rig the outcome of their labor dispute. Private unions don't enjoy this corrupt bargain. Even FDR knew it was trouble.

Restore government for the people, not just for the people that work there.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

You are speaking for the 1%. Union workers are not wealthy people, they haven't cleaned any government out! That is laughable. You can't believe those lies. They're just regular working Americans! You are sadly mistaken. And so you speak for the 1% criminals who HAVE cleaned us out. A tool, A fool, and without honor.

[-] -3 points by RealityTime (-224) 11 years ago

It's shameful how liberals have tried to hide government workers behind the skirts of non-government middle class workers. Illinois, in particular, is being bankrupted by insider unions that resist even the most trivial of reforms. Now at least, Wisconsin has a chance.

On Wisconsin! Walker by 6!

[-] 3 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Walker will be indicted immediately after the election because there is a law that prevents indictment during a campaign. At thre of his cronies have already plead guilty. His right hand dirty tricks guy is testifying monday. At 13 of his previous local admin are under investigation. Thats who is your savior? Another criminal!

[-] -2 points by RealityTime (-224) 11 years ago

It doesn't even matter. The leftists are taking any possible swing at him that they can take. It's an incredibly powerful special interest group and they're not just going to walk away. We get that. But the reforms that have already happened are important and are settling in. The longer it takes for the unions to take over again, the harder it'll be to get back to the good old days when they ran the government and fucked the people. The reforms stand by themselves. It was a rare moment to strike and Walker took it. Thank God.

[-] 3 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Govt size is an irrelevant issue. That is just republican talking points to create the false need to cut programs that serve the 99%. You want to cut that also? Can't we deal with budget deficits by taxing the wealthy, and creating economic growth? Why should we cut the things that help the working class? Have a heart. Use your head.

[-] -1 points by RealityTime (-224) 11 years ago

They increasingly don't serve the "99%" (whatever that means). They increasingly serve the people that work there. Reform of government unions is about rescuing government services so that they can do what they're supposed to do and to not all be crowded out by union corruption of the process. Why should government programs that serve the working class all be crowded out to pay for the goodies of the government class? You have no compassion. You're heartless.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Most workers are non union! Amongst non union workers some have better deals than others. I don't begrudge anyones good deal! But all non union workers have been exploited and gauged by corp mgmt with high health costs, and cut benefits. Unions lead the way with the best benefits so we can pressure corps to improve benefits for all workers. Health care costs are high for non union workers because of corp health ins criminals gauging workers. That is where our anger should be targeted. Not against our fellow workers who have held on to the low costs/good benefits that we should all have! Good union benefits serve as the goals we all must pressure corps to meet. That is how it's always been! That is why we have any benefits for workers! Can't achieve better benefits/lower healthcare costs if we attack fellow workers good benefits! Attack the corps who have raised worker health care costs and cut retirement benefits! They are the criminals!

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

I begrudge "good deals" when I get stuck paying them and for me they're a bad deal.

Public unions have corrupted the process. The hit the voting booth and then they sit down to negotiate with the people they just elected. They're one of the most focused and powerful special interests out there. Just look at what happens when someone comes along that dares challenge them. Wow!

Those "fellow workers" you're talking about in government are riding on the "fellow workers" that don't work for government.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

We disagree. I want to help workers and recognize the real criminals are greedy selfish wealthy. You pit one worker against the other and give the real criminals a pass. we have to agree to disagree,

[-] -2 points by RealityTime (-224) 11 years ago

You want one type of worker, the government worker, to live an insulated life at the expense of another type of worker, the one outside of government.

While non-government workers have endured job insecurity, curtailments in retirement expectations, and meaningful payments for healthcare, government workers have fought all attempts at even the slightest reforms. To workers that have seen their retirements cut in half, government workers say "fuck you how about a tax increase" before they'll accept even a nick off the top. It's tone deaf and it's wrong.

The unions have pitted worker against worker by fighting reform and by their excesses.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

The corp 1% criminals who crashed the world economy and still enrich themselves have taken trillions from the American working class. Probably 1000 times more than any Union waste and corruption. You are penny wise and dollar foolish. You've been distracted by the 1% brainwashing.

[-] -1 points by RealityTime (-224) 11 years ago

Blow-hard propaganda is a weak argument for not reforming the government unions. Electing your own boss that in turn helps you clean-out the people is wrong and needs reform.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Now everyone has poor benefits like you. When it used to be everyone had the good benefits that only unions were able to hold onto. Fool. tool. without honor

[-] -2 points by RealityTime (-224) 11 years ago

Yeah, cashing checks drawn on someone else's account and cheering for a bigger government that you'll never pay for. You're my hero.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Govt svcs are not "crowded out" because of union workers! These American families haven't stolen our govt. It's the corp 1% criminals who have stolen our govts. Now they continue to live high off the (middle class) hog. And those 1% criminals are laughing at you for facilitating their escape from culpability, responsibility, and punishment! They have duped you by tapping into your petty jealousies. pitting you against your fellow working Americans.

[-] -2 points by RealityTime (-224) 11 years ago

Sure they are. Increasingly, the money is being siphoned off for excessive retirement packages unknown to the ordinary middle class non-government workers that pay for them. The choice is happening now: fire working teacher to fund non-working teachers. Even liberals are beginning to catch on to the vicious trade-offs that are underway.

The unions, of course, are tone deaf to everything that's happening. They demand tax increases so that their retirements remain untouched from a population that's already seen a large permanent draw-down in what they can expect. It's this insensitivity that underlies why they'll lose next week in Wisconsin. It's the entitlement of the government class. They may be tone deaf, but they'll hear what happens next week.

No, it's fellow working Americans that are paying for it. Don't try to hide government-class workers behind their skirts.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

"special interest groups" you mean like unions? you mean like the aclu?

[-] 3 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Fossil fuel, WallStreet, Energy companies, Insurance companies, Corporate Health Care Providers etc etc etc

[-] -2 points by linker (-241) 11 years ago

how come you didn't mention the Sierra club? is that a special interest group?

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

It is an environmental responsibility group. What is your beef with them? That they want to protect our environment our world our health?

[-] -1 points by linker (-241) 11 years ago

so you determine what special interest groups are good and which ones are bad? no other opinions allowed?

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Look to who it benefits - all of society or a greedy few.

[-] 0 points by linker (-241) 11 years ago

so lets get specific. which special interest group only benefits "a greedy few"?

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

WallStreet deregulation - and it caused the melt down of the economy.

Removing fracking from the regulation of the EPA - benefits the current glut market of LNG as well as oil to the detriment of the environment so to the detriment of society and the world. Endangering and destroying ground water reservoirs and polluting land and our food chain.

Expanding drilling to the profit of oil and to the detriment of our environment. Again profits in a glut market over the health of the people and the world.

There is a starter for you.

[-] -1 points by linker (-241) 11 years ago

so you dont benefit at all from the energy production you mentioned above?

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Just as much as anyone in the captive fossil fuel system does.

Currently we are exporting fossil fuel this would be in any other market a sign for celebration as it would mean lower consumer prices due to an abundance of product. Not so with fossil fuel/gasoline.

Hell even fossil fuel is benefiting from green power tech as they can now go and exploit foreign markets with their product.

Society and the world would see more benefits with changing over to all green tech - Hell even the fossil fuel pushers are in a prime position to make money off of green tech by repositioning their current operations.

[-] 3 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Uions represent working American families. Not a special interest! ACLU fights to protect the constitutional rights of all Americans! Not a special interest!

[-] -2 points by linker (-241) 11 years ago

unions represent their members. What special interest groups do you have in mind?

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Union members are American Workers! For me an example of a special interest is the oil industry. Ok?

[-] -2 points by RealityTime (-224) 11 years ago

A tiny minority of them. They're by definition a special interest.

Look at what they do in government. They're relentless advocates for bigger government and tax increases. Why? Is it because of some benefit they might see as citizens? Nope, it's simply because they work there. That's the fucked up stuff we live with because of special interests with too much power.

[-] 3 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Public union workers ain't livin' large! They barely get by! You begrudge the wrong people. They, like you are the victims of the 1% fin crimes that created this great recession. Union workers (public private) like all American workers are not special interests. They are the people! You speak for the wall st 1% special interests. You aint kiddin anyone. traitorous anti American worker duplicity!

[-] -1 points by RealityTime (-224) 11 years ago

They fight reform at every turn. They're almost impossible to fire. They have benefits utterly unmatched by working families that carry them. They retire at ages and with packages unheard of in the private sector. Middle class workers in government are walking off with million dollar retirement packages when the middle class non-government workers that carry them have nothing like it. It's called government-class and it rides on top of the middle class.

It's time for reform. Government should work for every one, not just the help.

[-] 3 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

AAhhh! They are livin large. You ARE jealous. You DO begrudge them. LMFAO. That is so petty. And entirely wrong. The people being carried by the middle class are the 1% fin criminals who get multi million dollar bonuses and golden parashutes for doing nothing but exploit the middle class. Union workers are not livin large. You have been lied to. They are simple middle class people. don't believe the lies, the demonization. We should be angry at wealthy people being carried by the middle class but it ain't union workers. it is wealthy 1% criminals.

[-] -1 points by RealityTime (-224) 11 years ago

Simple middle class people that are virtually unfireable, pay 1/2 (at best) of normal healthcare costs, and enjoy earlier and dramatically better retirement packages than the middle class people that pay for it. Sure, keep talking. People that demand tax increases so that even a hair on their retirement heads isn't touched from people outside government that have seen major retrenchments. It's time for reform. The government class isn't middle class.

Jealous? It's a simple assessment of fairness. So, middle class people are supposed to continue to make themselves worse off to elevate the government class? Why?

1% criminals? Really, who? If you've done well, you're a criminal? You're the jealous one.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

We should be demanding that we get the same benefits they have. I used to pay 1/2 as much for healthcare. but without a union the corps have hiked it up for me and everyone. the solution is not to make union workers pay more. That doesn't help us. it hurts them!. The answer is to get corps to match what the public unions get and lower our healthcare costs. Whatever benefit your are talkin about used to be better. Corps have continued to screw you by cutting benefits. Unions have held onto the benefits. That is GOOD. That is the evidence that unions would have kept our benefits from being cut. Instead you begrudge them for retaining the benefits that corps have taken from you. and you speak up for the criminals who have taken your benefits away. Petty, misguided, jealous. and without honor! How do you sleep.? If only you would divert your anger at the corps that took your benefits away. perhaps your kids could have a decent life. instead you want to drag everyone down to your level.

[-] -1 points by RealityTime (-224) 11 years ago

Welcome to Greece. Want more? Just take it or borrow it.

Public unions are a corruption because rather than just negotiate, they first vote to determine whom it is they'll be negotiating with. Then the public is doomed.

Some liberals are beginning to get it. Unions inefficiency, corruption, and excessive job security, benefits, and retirements are crowding out what government is supposed to do. They're beginning, at last, to comprehend that handing over the store to retired teachers means FIRING a working teacher. Yeah, a teacher in a classroom teaching a kid, something liberals used to care about.

This is the kind of insanity Rahm Emanuel is dealing with in Chicago. Trash collection costs 3x what it does in Houston simply because of the union kleptocracy.

Changing street lights is also a stunning story. In Chicago, ground zero for union insanity, they use 3 people on a truck, one of which has to be a certified electrician. By coincidence, a street light on my street in Houston got changed the day I read an article about Chicago's disease. A guy drove up, got out of the truck, changed the bulb and drove off. He must've been Super Man by Chicago standards. LOL.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Changing lights? That is ridiculously minor!. Give me a break. Enjoy your poor benefits. One day you will wake up from the corp brainwashing and realize the only way you will get better benefits is with unions leading the way. You must get beyond the petty jealousies and realize all workers have common cause. Corps have different interests. Just profit. It is in their interest to cut your benefits as they have. Why should they not. You can't do anything. You have no leverage. You are one man without a union. There is strength in numbers. You complain and they will fire your sorry ass! LMFAO

[-] -2 points by RealityTime (-224) 11 years ago

Private unions are different than public unions. Public unions are a corruption. Even liberals are coming to terms with reform. Rahm is just one. Even liberal Rhode Island started to wake up. Hmm, gutting state services so that government employees can loot the place. The unions, of course, fought every last bit of reform. They don't give a fuck. Give them more, give them tax increases, who cares, they own the place.

I have leverage. My leverage comes through my skills and education. It also comes from my not making idiotic choices in my life like running up debts and not saving money. A union would ruin my employer and therefore my future there. That's the last thing I would want to happen.

Changing lights and picking up trash are just anecdotes of a deep seeded corruption that permeates the systems. It's a garden that needs to be weeded, only when you do, the weeds scream and petition for recalls.

It is in the average worker's interest to keep intelligent bureaucrats out of the private economy. I believe they would crowed the average worker out of most high paying jobs. Though popular culture likes to make the bureaucrat seem like a dunce, I don't think it's the case.

[-] -1 points by RealityTime (-224) 11 years ago

Government unions are by definition a special interest. It's an entrenched few that are relentless advocates for bigger government and more taxes just because they work there, not because it adds any value whatsoever to the people. The downturn is just making it more obvious now to more people.

On Wisconsin! Reform now! Maybe courage will spread south and Illinois can be pulled back from the union abyss.

What's hilarious too is how Wisconsin government union members are now dropping the union in droves. Now that the state doesn't wield the union's dues collection bat, the members are quitting. Unions hate freedom like that, but it was yet another terrific reform.

Another great reform was on healthcare. Walker ended the corruption of forcing government to buy from the insiders at the unions. Again, once freedom was restored, taxpayers won as government was able to get proper bids for the coverage.

This was in addition to the reform of getting the union members to paying HALF what private sector workers to towards premiums. Of course, even half was fought by tone deaf unions.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Your anger is misguided. The 1% abuse of the govt is what is destroying us. They have duped you by tapping into your petty jealousies. You should be outraged by the damage the 1% created, by the money that have stolen from the middle class. That is in the trillions. American middle class union workers do not have the capacity perpetrate that level of theft. heartless tool, petty fool. Dishonorable traitor..

[-] -1 points by RealityTime (-224) 11 years ago

Sure, I'm duped. Say, let's put 5 guys on the trucks. LOL. Chicago and Illinois are having the life drained out of them by the unions. I used to live in Chicago and am glad I left for Texas. My wallet is now safely out of their corrupt grasp. The shameless unions simply want more and the politicians they've hand picked have so far handed over the store.

A few are starting to get it like Rahm in Chicago. They see what's coming. They see an unworkable future where government collects taxes simply to hand over to union members that aren't even working. That's Greece. That's Chicago.

Heartless? No, heartless is to let this broken system go on. Letting an entrenched government class hand select policy makers that then drain the middle class is wrong. It's not just heartless, it's brainless.

To whom am I a traitor? To some gutless government worker like you that wouldn't dare try life in the private sector? I'm proud of that. To the working families that are getting jammed paying for it? Hardly.

On Wisconsin! Walker wins!

[-] -2 points by RealityTime (-224) 11 years ago

Nope, but I know what is dispensable. Three guys clinging to government jobs hanging out changing light bulbs. See, this kind of nonsense matters because when we do idiotic things like that, something of value government is supposed to be doing goes undone. Heartless is people that tolerate that sort of waste and corruption. Unions and leftists need to know that money has limits. If you don't think so, read up on Greece.

Time for corruption money to take a dive in the political arena.

Wisconsin vote to support people vote to end corrupt money controlling your government.

[-] 0 points by RealityTime (-224) 11 years ago

Yeah, that's what it takes. Sure, the "smart" thing to do for Wisconsin people is to restore power to a privileged group of entrenched government workers living at their expense, that block even the most minor reforms, and that continually advocate tax increases. Yeah, that's the smart move.

The corrupt control of government was by the union. Now the government has a better shot at serving all its people, not just its employees.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Bullshit - the status-quo want to break down the peoples power to unite in common cause.

[-] 0 points by RealityTime (-224) 11 years ago

Unite in common cause all you want, just not to rig negotiations between government (which is supposed to represent all the people and not just the union) and the union. That's exactly what Wisconsin is about. The union wants to, once again, own both sides of table. And when they blow through all the money? Why, their compliant bosses will just go take it in higher taxes to the cheers of a happy union.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

No shithead - the government should be supporting workers rights throughout the state and increasing the public economy/revenue through proper living wage practices.

[-] 0 points by RealityTime (-224) 11 years ago

Cool, price fixing on the labor market. Liberals want an open border that floods the market with no-skill labor, but then cry and moan about low wages created by over-supply. The answer: Leave the border open, call anyone that brings it up a racist, and then demand price fixing on labor markets. What's hilarious is that about every loon sanctuary city mayor in the US including Coleman from St. Paul all say the same thing. They all need a basic class in economics to learn about really really complicated stuff like supply and demand.

So, here's a fun one for leftists. If the "living wage" for lawn cutters goes to $20/hour and the price of getting the lawn cut goes from $30 to $60, does government plan to fine people that cut back on their lawn cutting? LOL. If the price of restaurants double, will someone from the government make me go out to dinner or will another government program be created for people to wash dishes that aren't dirty? LOL. You're just so ignorant.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

See that is your problem Judas Goat. Put a cap on profits like CEO pay packages. And the cost need not go up like that. Just got to trim some of the fat off of the top. Make relationship to business earnings and overall pay fair - eliminate the obscene top end pay gap. Reign in greed.

[-] -2 points by RealityTime (-224) 11 years ago

Maybe in your spare time, after you wrap up your GED, you'll take a math class and an economics class. Seriously, you sit around on your computer enough, learn some math. Try out a little math. Take 100% of the "CEO pay packages" and see how much money that is, you dope.

So, we'll make CEOs get their lawns cut more often? If the price of lawn cutting doubles, do you loons plan to force people not to cut back on lawn cutting. Will someone make me keep going out to dinner the same amount or will we invent another class of dummy jobs in government to wash clean dishes? No answer, I know, because there's no thinking.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Already asked and answered. But here you go again anyhow:

Just as much as anyone in the captive fossil fuel system does.

Currently we are exporting fossil fuel this would be in any other market a sign for celebration as it would mean lower consumer prices due to an abundance of product. Not so with fossil fuel/gasoline.

Hell even fossil fuel is benefiting from green power tech as they can now go and exploit foreign markets with their product.

Society and the world would see more benefits with changing over to all green tech - Hell even the fossil fuel pushers are in a prime position to make money off of green tech by repositioning their current operations.

[-] -1 points by linker (-241) 11 years ago

so what happened to Solyndra? They couldnt compete with Chinese manufacturers even with 500Million govt loan? How come?

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

because the Chinese were smarter than us. They have dropped 30Billion into their solar industry. They recognize the future and want to capture the American market. Republican anti alternative energy investment obstructionism has allowed the Chinese to practice unfair trade against our American corps and bankrupt our companies. Many other American Solar companies are in trouble for the same reason. Repubs are sitting around waiting for failure so they can point and claim victory while the American industry and potential workers suffer. It's treasonous. .

[-] -1 points by linker (-241) 11 years ago

So why do people want to buy Chinese made solar panels instead of American ones?

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Because they are cheaper as a result of unfair Chinese subsidies and lower wages.

[-] -1 points by linker (-241) 11 years ago

ah - so what's the answer to this problem?

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Massive investment in Alternative energy tech, including job training/creation for manuf/installation. Simple.

[-] 4 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Helping American families, American industries of the future, Is a valid investment that we will get back with increase economic activity. I certainly do not support continuing to send American money/jobs to China/middle east. I don't need a eco class to know that! In so far as deficits/debt. It is a false concern, republican talking points to get more austerity cuts of programs that serve the 99%. We simply need relief for the middle/working class! This will increase consumerism. therefore demand, which will get the so called job creators to finally hire (which they should've been doing all along!), That means more revenue, lower social support. lower deficits/debt. It's the only way. The real job creators are the middle class, not the greedy, selfish 1% criminals who crashed the world economy, enriched themselves and still sit on trillions of dollars as we (the 99%) still struggle, sacrifice, and suffer as a result of their continued inaction.!

[-] -3 points by linker (-241) 11 years ago

so I missed it - how does subsidizing a business make people want to buy your product over the Chinese one at a cheaper price?

[-] 3 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

You seem to have a problem with reading comprehension.

The problem with unfair free trade agreements that under cut a country's ability to compete in their own market.

[-] 1 points by SparkyJP (1646) from Westminster, MD 11 years ago

You've identified the problem correctly - free trade agreements. American manufactures are taxed at a rate of 25%. China is taxed at a rate of 2.5% - 10x lower !! Congress gives them an unfair advantage and they can't seem to understand why jobs are leaving America ....... or do they?

[-] -2 points by linker (-241) 11 years ago

so what are you proposing? specifically.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

The plan is to get people working. If repubs in congress would pass the Dems jobs bills (infrastr bank, green jobs, etc) we would be much further along on this recovery. They should also pass the dems state aid bill to rehire all the state workers that have been fired during this unemployment crises. Repubs should pass competition for refi of underwater mtgs. and eliminate bank fees for same. They should pass the tax cuts for small business That the Pres wants.. My plan would also include penalties for outsourceing, and rewards for onshoring. Also banks should be made to cut interest rates on all working/middle class americans cr card/mtg/student loans, In addition banksshould be made to forgive at leaset half the cr debt for working/middle class families who have already paid the original principal back. Ok? Thats the plan Help middle class working americans! You against that?

[-] -1 points by linker (-241) 11 years ago

more govt spending. that a losing proposition.what happens when that money runs out?

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Our subsidies will make our products cheaper.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Yes/No - subsidies will support new industry as they develop their products and processes. Once the processes are developed then it depends on imported/outsourced competition and free trade agreements whether or not the industry will survive and prosper.

[-] -1 points by linker (-241) 11 years ago

so you want the taxpayer to subsidize the price of a product - so they can then turn around and fool themselves & buy it cheaper. Is it really cheaper if they subsidize the price with their taxes? are you serious?

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

If we have enough money for wealthy tax cuts, republican wars, corp loopholes why wouldn't we have enough for working American families. We have an employment crises. Hiring people IS the answer. Deficits/debts will take care of themselves when growth returns with employment and economic growth.

[-] -2 points by linker (-241) 11 years ago

I like the way you look at it - letting people keep more of their own money is a crime. Republican wars? Vitetnam Dem, WWI & WWII Dem, Korea Dem. Still - no specific proposals from you - just the typical demagoguery.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

"puppet" is insulting.

[-] -2 points by linker (-241) 11 years ago

oh - yea - sorry - but still no specific proposals from you just rhetorical talking points. No surprise. If Obama doesn't even have a plan How in the world are you going to have one.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Sounds like you disagree. Thats ok. You don't have to get insulting/offensive. We're allowed to disagree. I want to do something to help American new industry and American middle class families. Maybe you want to send money to middle east/China. I'm ok with my position.

[-] -1 points by linker (-241) 11 years ago

what was the insult? I just asked for your plan specifically.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Tax breaks to cut the cost to the American consumer if they buy American made. Simple. You against that?

[-] -3 points by linker (-241) 11 years ago

they already have that - you get a tax deduction if you go solar. oh - so you want a tax break for buying the more expensive American mad panels? hahahaha! what sucker would go for that? and who is paying for the tax break? more deficit spending lol! Take an economics class befiore making a fool of yourself - for Christ sake lol!

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Investments by us. I already said the problem was unfair Chinese trade practices. I'm a puppet for the people. Are you a puppet for the 1% right? Mentioning solyndra is Repub talking points. No? We have put millins of Americans to work in Greentech. Dat ain't know platitude! Dats jobs for American families. You against that too?

[-] -1 points by linker (-241) 11 years ago

So how specifically does public investment help lower the price to be competitive with China?

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

The problem with unfair free trade agreements that under cut a country's ability to compete in their own market.

[-] -1 points by linker (-241) 11 years ago

so what do you propose to do? you are pretty good at identifying the issues but so far haven't offered any solutions.

You're right; that's because communists, socialists, and leftists in general look forward rather than backward. That means, people that look backward, like most conservatives, who have a love affair with the status quo and oppose forward motion, must be looking backward in a contorted postion that also affects their reasoning abilities.

[-] 0 points by JusticeForTrayvon (34) 11 years ago

I would say I support socialism. Socialism works very well, in a consensual atmosphere such as a commune where the people doing the majority of the work are doing so out of altruistic consideration for other people they have close contact with. Doesn't work so well when people are forced into it.

[-] 0 points by TitusMoans (2451) from Boulder City, NV 11 years ago

I was trying to be humorous, since I thought you were being sarcastic. I am not a communist, socialist, or capitalist, but an anarchist with strong communist leanings: an anarcho-communist.

[-] 0 points by JusticeForTrayvon (34) 11 years ago

Well, whatever floats your boat. Just don't try to force me to enter a communist system and everyone will be happy. I never really understood how anyone could call themselves an anarchist and not be capitalist at the core. Capitalism is to economic systems what anarchism is to social systems: A lack of regulation and ruling force.

[-] 1 points by TitusMoans (2451) from Boulder City, NV 11 years ago

Forcing anyone would be against my principles. Any federation should be voluntary on all parts.

[-] 0 points by JusticeForTrayvon (34) 11 years ago

Whoa. I never thought we would find such common ground. But I do think people should have to pay taxes, if they want to live in a country. You can't voluntarily fund national defense.

[-] 0 points by TitusMoans (2451) from Boulder City, NV 11 years ago

Undoubtedly, public-benefit programs must be paid for, and I certainly have no problem with taxation, providing no central authority rules over this. A bureacracy of some sort is necessary but that can be departmentalized by a voluntary confederation.

Many people misunderstand anarchism in believing that anarchism proposes a helter-skelter free for all, when in fact the basic idea of most anarchistic models is that good people voluntarily contribute to the common good. This can be a multi-level society with rotating representatives--so that no one becomes a "career politician"--speaking for his or her specific constituents.

Anarchism does away with a central government, because that has always led to an immediate class division: the rulers and the ruled. Most anarchists realize the necessity of governing, but the theory is a horizontal government with power never concentrated above individual units.

[-] 1 points by JusticeForTrayvon (34) 11 years ago

Anarchism is defined as a lack of government or power structure.

Afghanistan was from the 1980s to 2001 about as close as you can come to anarchy. Yet time and again, human nature proved itself to be un-altruistic and incapable of voluntary good. Mob rule evolved into a chrony oligarchy known as the taliban.

[-] -1 points by tupacsugar (-136) 11 years ago

[-] 1 points by JesseHeffran (3903) 11 years ago

The fact that you don't understand me, makes me think you is the one suffering from a mental deficiency. Let me ask you some questions. Do you believe the Constitution always gave the right to the supreme Court to judicially review Congressional law? Where is it written that Miranda right has to be given to the accused? For that matter, where is it written that Obama's health care bill is unconstitutional? Where is it written you have a right to privacy? The Constitution, like every other script written by man, has always conformed to the social norms of the era. So looking to it, and not to you and yours, is idiocy, in my book. You feel me, gangster?

[-] -3 points by tupacsugar (-136) 11 years ago

After that tirade I have to admit you're more fucking whacked then I anticipated. You're actually asking me "where is it written that Obama's health care bill is unconstitutional?" Now that takes the cake!! If you can't answer that question then you haven't been paying attention. You obviously are misinformed and are operating from a propagandized and indoctrinated POV.

"The Constitution, Like almost every script that has been written has always conformed to the social norms of the era. So looking to it, and not to you and yours, is idiocy, in my book. You feel me, gangster?"

This is absolute nonsense,...looking to the Constitution is "idiocy"? WTF is " you and yours"??

Your book is overdue and you are full of shit,....." You feel me, gangster?"

LMAO..........

Fossil fuel subsidies?

WallStreet Bail Out?

Expansion of fracking across the USA?

Tar Sands Piplines?

Un-regulated fossil fuel speculation?

For profit Education?

For profit Insurance?

For profit Health Care?

Energy companies and holding companies that do not pay taxes?

Fracking not subject to the EPA?

What is it that "YOU" are concerned about?

[-] 5 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 11 years ago

Great fucking point DKA!! Don't forget tax breaks and loopholes for the super rich. Paying less social security for the super rich. The list goes on.

Fracking even got exemptions in the Safe Drinking Water Act.

My congressman, Lee Terry, has to be getting paid by the Transcanada tar sands pipeline. It's all he talks about. Even though that project will increase our American energy bill by 4 billion dollars a year.

“There was never any doubt that the Keystone XL pipeline would increase the price at the pump for consumers. In fact, TransCanada, the company that wants to build the pipeline, told Canadian regulators that the pipeline would allow TransCanada to raise the United States energy bill by $4 billion per year by limiting the supply of Canadian crude to Midwest refineries and rerouting it to Gulf Coast refineries.

“A foreign-owned oil company is playing us for fools. In order to convince Americans to accept a pipeline that will result in higher gas prices, we have been bombarded with a public relations campaign to convince us that the pipeline is a good idea."

“It may be a good idea to foreign investors, but the Keystone XL pipeline is a bad idea for American consumers - Congressman Dennis Kucinich

[-] 3 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Fossil fuel is a bad idea for the world - I advocate green power/fuel technology R&D and implementation. Jobs and industry of true priceless value to humanity the world. Export it in aid to impoverished countries/people so they can become more self sufficient - Healthy. Buy the equipment goods and services from all of American businesses large and small instead of from the favored few profiteers. Stop sending billions of dollars to support regime retirement funds.

So much can be done to support our economy and our world in a healthy manner.

Get over the murder arrests, the fraud allegations, and the accusations of guards pumping themselves up with steroids and cocaine. Good. Then they can pay a little more so you can have more goodies. Why, if they don't want to pay more, then they're just greedy. LOL.

Bang on his door and to explain to him why your healthcare is his problem. Yeah, it's just easier to have the government do the dirty work for you. Leaching off of others is embarrassing when you have to do it directly.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

I expect my neighbors to pay less as we end corporate corruption and crime as we successfully promote a living wage for all workers.

As we get people back to work perhaps implementing green technology into our infra-structure.

As we get government to stop throwing away billions of dollars on a yearly basis to foreign governments for aid which never manages to get dispersed to those populations - and instead buy needed goods and services from all of American businesses instead of from the favored few - and send that aid to the people in need. Perhaps send them green tech and help-em set it up so they can be more self sufficient.

You are an embarrassment to your status-quo co-workers. Your attacks are truly lame. RT did you lose your talking points manual? Or did you just get to lazy to read and use it? Granted the manual seems pretty lame - but at least those of your kind who use it are not quite as embarrassing as you.

[-] -2 points by RealityTime (-224) 11 years ago

Oh, I get it. You want to take more from from other people and give some of that to your neighbors. Heh, you can have a block party!
