Forum Post: Cooprate Treason To America

Are insurance companies committing corporate treason against America when they deny a person contractual rights to benefits, thus placing them on welfare and other social subsidies? They are God's, they let people die and change the quality of life for many people by disapproving and denying benefits. Can we hold them responsible? They make BILLIONS of dollars. Shouldn't I/we use our own insurance policy cards at hospitals first, and then use Medicare cards to pick up what insurance companies don't? I have both and doctors and hospitals bill Medicare first and what they don't pick up my insurance company will. Sounds backwards to me.

Oran's Dictionary of the Law (1983) defines treason as "...[a]...citizen's actions to help a foreign government overthrow, make war against, or seriously injure the [parent nation]." In many nations, it is also often considered treason to attempt or conspire to overthrow the government, even if no foreign country is aided or involved by such an endeavor.

Outside legal spheres, the word "traitor" may also be used to describe a person who betrays (or is accused of betraying) their own political party, nation, family, friends, ethnic group, team, religion, social class, or other group to which they may belong. Often, such accusations are controversial and disputed, as the person may not identify with the group of which they are a member, or may otherwise disagree with the group leaders making the charge. See, for example, race traitor.

At times, the term "traitor" has been levelled as a political epithet, regardless of any verifiable treasonable action. In a civil war or insurrection, the winners may deem the losers to be traitors. Likewise the term "traitor" is used in heated political discussion – typically as a slur against political dissidents, or against officials in power who are perceived as failing to act in the best interest of their constituents. In certain cases, as with the German Dolchstoßlegende, the accusation of treason towards a large group of people can be a unifying political message.

Hello PlasmaStorm,
Yes I base this all on my experiences from a car wreck I had. I can share names. Will I share the names? NO. I went on Long Term Disability and Cigna Insurance Co. was my provider. They were very nice and got me on SSD and after they got me on SSD, they told me I could return to work. They felt I could answer phone calls from home. lol Hmmmmmmmm, still needed a release from my doctor which wasn't going to happen. After I thought common sense would prevail I appealed to Cigna twice and was denied. I hired a lawyer and was denied again. As per contract language when both parties can't agree it went to arbitration and I was favored and reinstated. In the mean time I was forced to go on any assistance I could in order to survive. Cigna caused me much harm and as per contract I can't sue for damages. What I feel is premeditated language designed to breach the contract which left me forfeiting my home, as many bills remain unpaid and bankruptcy is unavoidable. All this caused by Cigna's lack of common sense, compassion and greed to increase its bottom line dictated by Wallstreet. Ridiculous and extreme hypothetical example you say? I was in a coma for 3 weeks and a 5% chance to live. Why is it that you seem to be the one with the head injury. Drive safely, you never know when a 28 year old preacher with a wife and three kids who gave a sermon 2 weeks before the crash on; "When it's your time to go." will cross the medium and cause such a wreck. Heaven or Hell didn't want me, it took the preacher man though.

Yes I am promoting my website. Thank you for noticing. I've found my equal to God status as all love. You should check it out. That's why I'm promoting it. I'm not asking for any money or donations. I hope to have given credit to those that have helped me through that difficult time in the messages they have to offer anyone. It's merely to bring you an awareness of who you are. A self-realization. Do you like yourself?

Lincoln thank you for your thoughts as well. To me the word treason describes a situation of "man against country and country man." That is treason to me. I hope you have a new awareness from all this and it brings out the grandest of self. Michael

mutualminds,

Do you have a specific person, with a name, who was denied a contractual right to a benefit or are you just looking to promote your website by making up a completely ridiculous and extreme hypothetical example?

The phrase "Dolchstoßlegende" is loaded, it implies an legend of backstabbing which isn't true. But it is valid to endorse the view the Germans were stabbed in the back, it all depends on your historical perspective and interests.

The term "traitor" should not be used because it doesn't mean the enemy, it means a person accused of aiding an enemy. Better aim atn the enemy who isn't as close.
