Forum Post: CBS Propaganda News caught erasing Candidate Paul from polls

Posted 12 years ago on Jan. 9, 2012, 12:02 p.m. EST by booksgamesvideos (72)
This content is user submitted and not an official statement

CBS reporter Jan Crawford was reporting on the NH primary, displayed the recent poll results on the TV, and erased Ron Paul from the image (as if he doesn't exist). A deliberate attempt to skew the upcoming election.

MIC CHECK!

Corporate lackey, corporate lackey.

Haim Saban, the billionaire Israeli American that owns Univision said the three ways to be influential in American politics,” are: make donations to political parties, establish think tanks, and control media outlets"

http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2010/05/10/100510fa_fact_bruck#ixzz1j01G1gFE

In a Univision documentary it is being alleged that Iran, Venezuela and Cuba are joining forces to plan attacks on the United States.

According to the documentary the three countries are meeting in Mexico to plan terrorist attacks greater than 9/11 on the US. Some right-wing US lawmakers are taking these allegations seriously, or is it all propaganda?

The entire RT news is here http://youtu.be/z8bCbXIg3dQ

[-] 2 points by maxxy (3) 12 years ago

Pure bunk. The Talmud teaches that non Jews are animals fit only to serve Jews (reading the Talmud cannot be antisemitic). Mr. Saban is pure evil. The deaths of millions of Iranians would mean nothing to him compared to responding to the paranoia of Israe-hell.

[-] 1 points by bklynsboy (834) 12 years ago

Saban is a pawn in the Israeli propaganda machine. They are omnipotent and omnipresent.

[-] 1 points by gmxusa (274) 12 years ago

New York Times reporter, Andrew Ross Sorkin, noted that:

He and his wife, Cheryl…, slept in the White House several times during President Clinton’s two terms.

Mr. Saban has not been shy about calling on his political friends to help sell advertising, too. This year, he invited Germany’s most prominent advertising executives to his home in Los Angeles for dinner with Mr. Clinton. The executives, he said, were stunned…

Clinton had the following to Say about Saban:

"Haim Saban has been a very good friend, supporter and adviser to me,” Mr. Clinton said in an e-mail message. “I am grateful for his commitment to Israel, to a just and lasting peace in the Middle East and to my foundation’s work, particularly on reconciliation issues."

As for Saban's vision for a "just and lasting peace": "I think that any resolution will have to go both on the Palestinian side and Israeli side to some form of civil war. It’s not going to be without spilling blood."

He's part of the AIPAC propaganda machine. He throws money and twists arms.

[-] 1 points by ineptcongress (648) 12 years ago

rt is a pretty good news source, albeit extreme at times.

[-] 0 points by booksgamesvideos (72) 12 years ago

Wow.

Univision is spreading propaganda. The Republican candidates are spreading propaganda. President Obama is spreading propaganda. Why the hate against Iran??? They are a democratic republic, just like us. Their citizens don't wish to be blown up by U.S. bombs.

"If you shut up truth and bury it under the ground, it will but grow, and gather to itself such explosive power that the day it bursts through it will blow up everything in its way." - Émile Zola

.

[-] 2 points by gmxusa (274) 12 years ago

Keith Weissman, former AIPAC lobbyist attempts to answer that question on PBS.

"The reason why I want to tell this story now is, we may be going down a path, helped along by the American Jewish community, and maybe even Israel, that is going to be worse even than the one we're on now - some sort of military confrontation with Iran. That worries me. Because they will be able to blame [it] on the Jews, to a great extent," says Weissman, who worked at AIPAC from 1993 until 2005, much of that time as the group's deputy director of foreign policy. Though Weissman disagrees sharply with those who say that AIPAC played a critical role in pushing for the 2003 U.S. decision to invade Iraq, he believes a war with Iran -- which he says "would be the stupidest thing I ever heard of" -- might well be blamed on AIPAC's leaders and their constituents. "What the Jews' war will be is Iran," he says. "Not Iraq."

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/tehranbureau/2011/06/aipac-from-the-inside-1-isolating-iran.html

[-] 1 points by booksgamesvideos (72) 12 years ago

Yeah.

That didn't really answer my question. Why the propaganda/ hate directed at Iran by Univision, Republican candidates, and Obama's workers??? They are a democratic republic, and their citizens don't wish to be blown up by U.S. bombs

.

[-] 1 points by maxxy (3) 12 years ago

All the middle east wars are for Israel. No one has ever given a good reason for them. The ultimate target are the Pakistani nukes. The strategy is to create Chaosistan and then go in and cease them. Drone killings of women and children is simply the price to be paid. The evil Jews don't care.

Ma and Pa U.S.A. will not send their children to fight and die in Iran. Kissinger: U.S. fighting men are dumb stupid animals. Pull back jew war mongers. We won't be your cannon fodder.

[-] 3 points by bklynsboy (834) 12 years ago

The Military Industrial Congressional complex is terrified of Paul because his military cuts will cost them hundreds of billions. They are pressuring corporate media to ignore Paul. His message rings true!

[-] 1 points by booksgamesvideos (72) 12 years ago

Pretty much.

And not just the military There's a video on youtube where a reporter says, "If Ron Paul is elected, they won't need us anymore. The press briefing room will be downsized and we won't have jobs."

.

[-] 1 points by bklynsboy (834) 12 years ago

Lives, wars for profit. That's how far we devolved.

[-] 1 points by whatajoke1 (4) 12 years ago

[-] 1 points by guru401 (228) 12 years ago

Whether you like Ron Paul or not, there is no question that the MSM is doing whatever it can to downplay his candidacy.

[-] 12 points by nucleus (3291) 12 years ago

There is no such thing as a "main stream media", there is a only a corporate media, 2/3 of which is controlled by five or six humongous corporations.

[-] 3 points by opensociety4us (914) from Norwalk, CT 12 years ago

Thank you

[-] 2 points by ModestCapitalist (2342) 12 years ago

I've used the phrase myself. But you're right. Virtually all of it on TV/radio is corporate. Most of that is owned by humongous juggernauts.

NewsCorp (FOX), Ge (NBC, MSNBS, CNBC), Disney (ABC), Clear Channel (Most syndicated talk radio). I don't keep up with who owns the many cable channels but its basically the same rule across the dial, the news stand, the magazine rack, ect.

What a train wreck.

[-] 0 points by booksgamesvideos (72) 12 years ago

NBC, ABC own the most cable channels (about 6 each). FOX owns three. The rest of the cable channels are divided across independent organizations like Discovery Communications, BBC Worldwide, Cable Corporation (CSPAN), et cetera.

[-] 2 points by ModestCapitalist (2342) 12 years ago

Thanks for the info.

[-] 1 points by booksgamesvideos (72) 12 years ago

Yep. Corporate-owned media like what corporations like: Big government that regulates everything (because regulations give companies like GM, MS, Comcast, John Corzine, and RIAA special favors and statuses).

Corporate-owned media will oppose anyone who hates corporations (as does RP) and hates corporate welfare.

[-] 1 points by guru401 (228) 12 years ago

Well said. And speaking of John Corzine, how is he still walking around? WSJ reported this week that he's actually shopping for new office space.

[-] 1 points by booksgamesvideos (72) 12 years ago

Because he's friends with government poltiicians. Corporations LOVE big government and the favors they can buy for themselves.

[-] 0 points by richardkentgates (3269) 12 years ago

I agree with this, I noticed it when CNN suddenly became more open to republicans directly after the Dod-Frank was introduced. CNN, owned by Time Warner, has a board of directors very easily linked to banking or connected to people with large interest in banking. Unlike MSNBC but very much like Fox, the CNN newsroom is influenced by the companies interest and not genuine journalism. MSNBC is the only news corp that has a "do not cross" line when it comes to their news shows and journalists, and is also why they actually talk about Ron Paul, not always in a good light but never the less, acknowledged.

[-] 3 points by ModestCapitalist (2342) 12 years ago

I wasn't aware of the banking connection (except for the usual affiliates). But CNN, NBC, and FOX are the worst in my book. The rest are still crap. Just not quite as rank. Even the 'facts' are presented in a way that makes people stupid. Its a nightmare. I get angry immediately whenever I see a clip or hear a word from any 'news' program.

[-] 0 points by richardkentgates (3269) 12 years ago

Even the 'facts' are presented in a way that makes people stupid.

LMFAO! ain't that the truth.

[-] 0 points by booksgamesvideos (72) 12 years ago

What on earth are you talking about?

MICROSOFTnbc (owned by GE) is probably the biggest corporate shill of all the TV channels, and most benefiting from regulations & big government (they received money from the D-controlled Congress).

[-] -1 points by FarIeymowat (49) 12 years ago

Too bad msnbc isn't fair and balanced.

[-] 0 points by philosophersstoned (233) from Gypsum, CO 12 years ago

ron paul moles are getting desperate, if he loses to Huntsman tonight his campaign is over. Go back to ronpaulforums.com you shills!

[-] 0 points by booksgamesvideos (72) 12 years ago

There's really no excuse for a reporter to delete the # 2 person from the poll results, regardless which candidate sits in that spot. That's lying through omission/distortion and unethical reporting

.

[-] -1 points by GreedKills (1119) 12 years ago

Yep that is why they attacked Huntsman with that stupid video.

[-] 0 points by booksgamesvideos (72) 12 years ago

You have proof the video was release by Ron Paul's campaign?

No. You don't.

Your accusation has no merit. Your claim is nullified.

.

[-] 1 points by GreedKills (1119) 12 years ago

Deflection, you have no proof either so just by the way Ron Paul, the Paulbearers and Alex Jones roll the cult is guilty as charged.

[-] -1 points by booksgamesvideos (72) 12 years ago

That "stupid video" has been proven to be made by Huntsman's own campaign. (Some say his daughters or other insider.)

.

[-] 0 points by GreedKills (1119) 12 years ago

Of course it was silly me!!! Ron Paul and his Alex Jones supporters would never stoop so low.

[-] 0 points by booksgamesvideos (72) 12 years ago

Nice sarcasm.

But the video was released on an account whose IP traces back to Huntsman's campaign. It was immediately shared with Huntsman's daughter's account. And then was published on the Huntsman twitter account before it appeared anywhere else.

Obvious where the source of the video is. Ditto the supposed "McCain" video that smeared huntsman.

[-] 0 points by GreedKills (1119) 12 years ago

That is incorrect, but keep it up as it's a nice conspiracy for Jones to suck in more gullible people to donate and add to his millions.

[-] 0 points by reckoning (53) 12 years ago

They know Ron wont play ball with big companies and corporations.

Mitt Romney is the corporate candidate!

[-] 1 points by booksgamesvideos (72) 12 years ago

They all are corporate/lobbyist-paid candidates (except Paul who hates corporate welfare)

4 years ago I wanted Mitt Romney not McCain, and now I'm getting him but I no longer like him. Funny how things change. 4 years ago I didn't know Romney was pro-government-run healthcare, just as 4 years ago I didn't know Obama would just be Bush part 2.

[-] 1 points by reckoning (53) 12 years ago

Congratulations u are one of the few that uses critical thinking.

Non-Jews are paying for the 1%.

We are unaware that all food products marked with the "K" or "U" Symbols have been TAXED by Jewish Rabbis!

Note: Each nation has its own symbol. Check in local Jewish publications, to find out what mark is being used in your own country.

On every pantry shelf in America, lay dozens of canned and packaged food products which have a tiny "K" or "U" printed on the label.

This symbol informs Orthodox Jews that the items have been checked by a rabbi, to make sure that they have been prepared in accordance with "Jewish Dietary law", as set forth in the Jewish Talmud -(the real "bible" of the Jews.)

American food companies are forced to pay multi-billions of dollars to several Orthodox Jewish organizations, just so an estimated 10% to 20% of Jewry, (or 800,000 to no more than 1.2 million Orthodox Jews), will buy their products. Please bear in mind that this is a country of 270 million people, and we are all forced to pay this Kosher Tax, just to appease LESS THAN ONE PERCENT OF THE POPULATION!

This comes out of your pocket!

What does "Kosher" mean? The word "Kosher" means "fit" to eat. Orthodox Jews are forbidden from eating meat products from any animal that doesn't have a split hoof and chew its cud. Pigs, (pork), is not kosher because while they do have the split hooves, they don't chew their cud. Rabbit meat is not kosher because, while they chew their cud, they don't have split hooves. Jews are not allowed to eat any dairy products along with meat at the same meal. If they eat meat at one meal, they must wait six hours before they can eat any dairy food.

All of this is superstitious nonsense, and has absolutely nothing to do with improving the quality of any food product. Still, this clever scheme of requiring kosher labeling has become a multi-million dollar business today! The Jewish Encyclopedia of 1942 states that the practice of eating rabbi-approved "kosher" foods goes back to ancient times when Jews were forbidden from eating with or having sex with Gentiles. The Encyclopedia says rabbis taught that, "Gentiles are ridden with diseases and death from unclean habits, and that, God wishes to protect his people from being contaminated by the Gentiles. The non-kosher goods of the Gentiles were ruled to have a contaminating effect!"

How Racist! Falsehoods Used To Entice Christians To Accept Kosher Products. One of our subscriber's wrote the "Aunt Jane Foods Co." in Faison, N.C. asking how much they pay annually for the use of the "U" symbol. Ms. Donna Fonvielle, head of Customer Relations, responded that Jews told them that by submitting to rabbinical supervision they are informing the public that "kosher products are produced under sanitary conditions."

KOSHER FOOD SYMBOL VIOLATES "TRUTH IN ADVERTISING LAWS." A Dobie Pad ad appeared in "Women's Day Magazine" - with the "U" symbol has been deliberately painted out. This Dobie Pad ad appeared in Jewish publications nation-wide. - Note: There is an arrow to draw attention to the "U".

Most advertising agencies paint out Kosher symbols in ads. This violates the (American) federal "Truth in Advertising Law!" No daily paper or TV program has ever explained to the American people how this Kosher food tax costs consumers billions of dollars every year. In Jewish publications they have arrows pointing at the symbol so that Jews will be on the lookout for their product. Note: Were is the U.S. Justice Department on this subject ? If they can burn children alive at WACO, and shot fourteen year old boys in the back, surely they can go after the "Kosher Mafia".

Wikipedia on two separate pages. There's a huge giant picture of Mr. Paul with the title "Ron Paul, the intellectual godfather of the Tea Party.

And the text reads: "on December 16, 2007, by Republican Congressman Ron Paul supporters who held a fund raising event for the 2008 presidential primaries advocating an end to fiat money and the Federal Reserve System, disengaging from foreign entanglements in Iraq and Afghanistan, and upholding States' rights.[31][32][33]

Fox News commentator Juan Williams says that the TPM emerged from the ashes of Paul's 2008 presidential primary campaign.[34]"

And: "The libertarian theme of the "tea party" protest has also been used by Republican Congressman Ron Paul and his supporters during fundraising events in the primaries of the 2008 presidential campaign to emphasize Paul's fiscal conservatism, which they later claimed laid the groundwork for the modern-day Tea Party movement. Trevor Leach, the New York Chairman of Young Americans for Liberty, a student organization that branched off of Students for Paul and Campaign for Liberty with the endorsement of Congressman Ron Paul, organized a protest during November and December 2008 for the following January 24."

Here are two 'relevant' Wiki pages : a) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ron_Paul and b) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tea_Party_movement and NOwhere can I detect any reference to "The Tea Party was started by Ron Paul in 2007" !!!

Also consider that IF he had such clear 'TP foundation credentials', given The Quite Clear 'Koch Bos. Connection' to The TP, that'd strike most decent, open-minded and heart-centred people as very odd and suspicious indeed !!

ad iudicium !

Cafferty is a RINO,a CNN token pseudo "right wing" stooge. He's there to make them seem like they care about their oppositions opinion.

Just like that pseudo Conservative scum David Frum.

Thanks for the cite

He doesn't look like a rightist to me. Of course he doesn't look like a leftist either (as are most reporters on CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS), which is pretty surprising.

[+] -7 points by ZenDogTroll (13032) from South Burlington, VT 12 years ago

You seem to have a fairly generic view of the media.

You should examine the political analysis in particular at CBS. I've said for years Catie Kouric was a left leaning face to a right leaning organization. Now she is gone. Why do you think they couldn't make her happy in her position?

I say it is because she knew how she was being used, and didn't have the resources to fight back.

Look closely at Bob Schieffer and tell me he isn't another right wing stooge.

[-] 1 points by booksgamesvideos (72) 12 years ago

In my view all of the TV channels (except FOX news and RT) are left-leaning..... or if you prefer, Democrat-leaning

It's been demonstrated that ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS aired 70% positive stories for Obama/democrats in 2008,9,10 but only 40% positive for McCain/republicans. (Google it.)

.

[+] -7 points by ZenDogTroll (13032) from South Burlington, VT 12 years ago

Pull CBS out of those stats and see where they stand on their own.

Then if there is still a left slant, ask yourself how much of that slant is in response to outright repelican lies, and behavior like their intransigence and brinkmanship in the run up to the budget debate.

The scumbags saw the jobs and wall street numbers fall during the six weeks before that deadline - the party of no dug in their heels and would not end bushite tax breaks or corporate loopholes.

they cost American jobs and do not care - the more jobs lost the better - because no President has ever been reelected with an unemployment rate over something like 7.5.

the fucking scum bags cannot get themselves elected on the basis of their own policy - so they bend public perception.

There's a slant because

(1) most reporters are college-educated and college persons tend to be Democrat/liberal

(2) the corporations themselves benefit from a Democrat-run government, since Democrats give them special favors (via regulation) or outright handouts (stimulus and TARP bills). These corporations own the major TV news channels

.

[+] -6 points by ZenDogTroll (13032) from South Burlington, VT 12 years ago

wow - so I guess we should all go watch flakessnooze then huh.

And of course there is no way to control the left leaning message editorially, is there, either by deciding which issues will be reported, or by controlling how the reporter frames the report . . . . or by ensuring you have staffers like Bob Scheiffer whose disdain for the secular progressive agenda is quite clear.

As far as special favors go - you should watch the movie Inside Job - makes it quite clear, conservatives have had an agenda going back decades to install conservative activist judges and now we have Citizens United

Thanks.

Don't worry though. People are waking up. And they are angry.

[-] 1 points by Misfit138 (172) 12 years ago

Man you must be so far out in left field that you hit the stands to think that Bob Schieffer is a "right wing stooge". He is anti-TEA Party, pro illegal-immigration, pro-taxes, pro-Obama and is against a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution. No, he is a liberal and doesn't hide it, but you can't see it because of the hate you hold.

[+] -6 points by ZenDogTroll (13032) from South Burlington, VT 12 years ago

He's a rightie, part of the old guard republican party - disturbed perhaps by what has happened to his party, and without the sense to stand up and say so explicitly.

I've watched his analysis of the news. It's clear to me, even if it isn't to you. Perhaps you should put down the koolaide for a bit, you might come back to your senses . . .

but I wouldn't count on it. The damage may well be irreparable.
