"WASHINGTON, Sept 14 (Reuters) - Bernie Sanders, one of the Senate's leading liberals, said on Sunday he is thinking about running for U.S. president in 2016 as either a Democrat or an independent in a move that could complicate Hillary Clinton's path to the White House...."

Now he is running will you start to post in support of Bernie? Am I the only one on the site willing to help Bernie?

[-] 0 points by gsw (3406) from Woodbridge Township, NJ 8 years ago

Yes, I have, and there are meet ups for bernie, Saturday, here.

I suggest like his face book, get free bumper sticker, get involved to stop oligarch tyranny

http://www.peopleforbernie.com/99meetups We must make the mass movement of populism reality, for progressive ideas to have life. We must be in this movement, in my opinion. Yes, I think bernie has a good Plan, and a national sweep from the left would be welcome for humanity.

Correct, I support candidates like bernie, his ideas align to mine

I took a look I wanted to comment on your Bernie post but when I looked, user:gsw I couldn't find any Bernie posts, come on don't be shy, Feel the Bern

You are linking to a post I put up, go ahead put one of your own up, it's fun!

Support Bernie put up a post and tell people so, if you can't take a firm stand here, then where?

[-] 0 points by MattHolck0 (3867) 8 years ago

he has spoken against arming and bombing the war ?

[-] 0 points by mdonelly (324) from Mineola, NY 8 years ago

Given the facts that; 1. Sanders is a War monger who supports the MIC & Empire, and 2. He has done nothing to build alternative parties in VT or on a national level, and 3. He went from being a Socialist to running as a Democrat, and lastly 4. He plans on supporting the Hag if he loses,..... No I will not support Sanders in his run for Presidency. While, I do like to hear him speak about all the inequities in our society, including the wage and wealth dispartity, I do wonder how he can do so without tying it to the huge amounts of money that we waste on the MIC. To put simply, he does not walk the talk.

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

OK I get it, you oppose Bernie Sanders, will you be supporting Rand Paul then?

[-] 0 points by mdonelly (324) from Mineola, NY 8 years ago

I do not support any candidates from the two corrupted parties!

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

Then you are truly a jackassed idiot, Bernie Sanders represents the best chance for working people we are likely to have for many decades, if you can't support him you are stupid and will never get anything actually done, the 1% will win and Monarchy will return.

[-] 0 points by mdonelly (324) from Mineola, NY 8 years ago

You being a "jackassed idiot" have probably forgotten all the lies that Obama told us to get re-elected.

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

You are a political operative working as hard as you can to build your own pathetic ego driven bullshit party, any who listen to your bullshit are simply to stupid to learn, and that leads to more W Bush, 2010, 2014 and TPPs being passed.

[-] 0 points by mdonelly (324) from Mineola, NY 8 years ago

Obama the DEMOCRAT pushed to have the TPP passed. Let's not forget that.

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

Let's not forget the Rs were 4 to 1 in favor and the Ds were 5 to 1 against,

and I will not be voting for Obama in the next election because of this!

but I will be working to get the damn Rs out of office so shit like this won't happen again.

[-] 0 points by mdonelly (324) from Mineola, NY 8 years ago

Yep, once again egregiously bad legislation for the 99% passed mostly driven by YOUR CORRUPT DEMOCRATIC President, and the Republicans in the House, with just enough votes from Democrats joining in. The charade of us have a well-functioning democracy contiues. Both parties stink!

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

It was was your GOP that you love so much that was 4 to 1 in favor of TPP, another screwing delivered by the GOP and their enablers the Green Party, and all those that would not vote this is a win for you too.

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 8 years ago

The vote shown in this post? The one you call bipartisan. Is more of an example of being diametrically opposed.

You wanna have a case? Present the actual voting records (senatorial and congressional) - show us the voting breakdown - then perhaps you could clearly show how much the same the members of the two parties are.

So far all your rhetoric - is - just that - rhetoric.

Put up or Shut Up

[-] 0 points by mdonelly (324) from Mineola, NY 8 years ago

So you reckon we should all buy into your corrupt Democratic Party, and forget about all the other shitty votes that they cast. It's amazing how things get worse by the year, no matter who is in office. Both the Democrats and Republicans stink, just like YOUR Democratic President.

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 8 years ago

Why don't you go ahead a post those votes you keep talking about.

[-] 0 points by mdonelly (324) from Mineola, NY 8 years ago

Voting is controlled by BIG money and lobbyists. The same CORRUPT Democrat that votes for the people this time, gets a pass, and then votes against them in one of the subsequent, super crappy pieces of legislation. They are given what amounts to an excuse to give to their constituents as to why they voted that way. It is disinegenuous to use the TPP as the sole criteria as to whether a politician is good or bad. The objective to all this is to keep the charade going and having people believe that the CORRUPT political system works, while their deleterious agenda advances.

[-] 0 points by mdonelly (324) from Mineola, NY 8 years ago

We live in a duopoly, that caters to the criminal elite. Maintaining the illusion that one party is for the people is necessary, so that UNenlightened people, like yourself, keep voting for one of the two CORRUPT PARTIES, expecting REAL change.

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 8 years ago

A true bipartisan vote would look more like = 0 yeas or 0 nays

As you seem to be so confused the following is an example of diametric opposition = 190 Republican yea, 152 Democrat nay

This vote you call bipartisan. Is more of an example of being diametrically opposed.

It is funny how you see 190 Republican yea, 28 Democrat yea as being equal (duopoly).

You wanna have a case? Present the actual voting records (senatorial and congressional) - show us the voting breakdown - then perhaps you could clearly show how much the same the members of the two parties are.

So far all your rhetoric - is - just that - rhetoric.

Frf...you would be better off stating this is the best choice being offered on the menu...yes I plan to vote for him. But yes I will not get my hopes up nor will I promote any candidate until the fundamental flaw in our election system is fixed. We must get the multinational conglomerates and money out of the process. We must realize the tv media is a direct arm of the corrupt process. That the tv media constructs elections with the stories they choose to present or black out like Ron Paul. We must face the fact that a partner arm of banks Diebold runs our elections with the machines they create and control. So get the vote out but if Sanders is a real threat or anyone really is rest assured the corporate oligarchs will make certain he will not win. So yes we get it...Sanders talks a good talk....he is our best option right now ...but the that is the illusion...because in reality ...we don't really control anything. Even if he wins and doesn't turncoat like Obama...we still have Congress and a corrupt Supreme Court to fight. So your continual campaign is almost if you think about it pretty much like Painting the walls in a house that is on fire.

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

So you figure you're so important that having some conditions before you give a crap is a good way to go? You require a rather detailed list of demands before you will consent to engage.

Well aren't you special!

oh, that's right, you are special the whole Ron Paul thing....

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

you should look at SCOTUS it matters who selects the next 4

have you heard of "the tipping point" the concentration of wealth is getting to be a really big deal, in case you haven't noticed

"Randian" Paul? I don't know about the mdonelly - but that sounds like turd-o-charger type stuff - He claims to hate the social safety net of social security - He is a self proclaimed go-it-a-loner. Though Like one of his idols (Ayn Rand) - if he ended up needing it (like her) he would no doubt sign up for it (no matter how much he disparages it now - just like Ayn Rand did before she herself needed it and then used it).

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

turbo also opposes the transaction tax, he is a true con through and through...

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 8 years ago

He is a true supporter of the 1% - one who pretends to be against the system so he can get others to opt-out.

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

oh yes that's turbo to a "t"

" Bernie Sanders may run, will that motivate OWS to get involved? "

We can hope - other social environmental and political action groups are starting to do a better job of networking support - just see the following:

Sign the petition from Daily Kos and a large coalition to the White House Conference on Aging: Protect and expand Social Security benefits for millions of Americans.

Two-thirds of retirees depend on Social Security for the majority of their income. As employers continue phasing out traditional pensions in favor of a do-it-yourself model, it is critical that we fight to protect and expand Social Security–the only guaranteed source of income in retirement.

On July 13, the White House will hold its once-a-decade White House Conference on Aging. This is a major opportunity to push our expansion campaign to the next level and secure benefits for millions of Americans.

Click here to sign the petition.

Keep fighting, Monique Teal, Daily Kos

10,000 in Madison biggest unforced crowd by anybody so far, here we go Bernie is taking off!

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 8 years ago

Yep - I like what he is doing - going to red battered states - and talking about people stopping voting against their own best interests.

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

I saw a spokesperson for Hillary on Morning Joe, she said Hillary was "durable" and said they wanted to do small events, she didn't say how they were keeping their events small, Bernie schedules small arenas but has to get bigger ones to accommodate the people that want to see him, are Hillary's people turning people away to keep the events small?

[-] 0 points by jamespeterevanhoe () 8 years ago

If Hillary was great She would have won the first time...BUT SHE FAILED.

Hillary has been in top level politics for 40 years Time to Move On

Bernie would be great but its going to take an all out effort to get everyone to vote.....and like Bernie said 80% of college kids didn't VOTE maybe with Bernie they will.....!

But if not then what.....?

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

I really like the idea of a transaction tax on stocks I also think there should be a property tax on stocks and bonds just like there is on homes, after all the government spends a lot of money making sure those stocks and bonds maintain their value, what do you think about that?

[-] 0 points by turbocharger (1756) 8 years ago

Great, hammer people's retirement even more.

You ain't too bright, are ya?

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

So you oppose the transaction tax?

I'm not surprised you rush to defend the wealth of the 1% and that you stand in support of greater wealth inequality.

[-] 0 points by turbocharger (1756) 8 years ago

If you want to start some moronic tax scheme on the bond market then that would be an obvious yes to anyone with a shred of a clue as to what they are talking about.

As usual, your nonsense would be amusing if it wasnt so detrimental to what OWS stands/stood for.

You make it down to the Dem headquarters there to help out yet? Or are you just going to bark at everyone on the internet to do the supporting for you?

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

So you don't really like talking about issues too much do you?

I guess we should just discuss your love of the GOP and all they do....

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

Hey beautifulworld or bitchworld or whatever you go by here is an earlier post is this what you were looking for?

Why can't you answer my simple question. Why are you now supporting Bernie Sanders? What happened to your love for Hillary?

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

please refer me to the comment you are referring to I can't find it, would you answer the simple question what do we do about the GOP?

Would please show me an example of this "love of Hillary" to which you refer, I don't recall saying anything except how completely stupid it is to let the GOP win under any circumstance.

Honestly I don't know what post or comment you are asking about.

[-] 0 points by beautifulworld (23767) 8 years ago

Gee, I wish I had the link to the video of you whining about how great Hillary is. And, there are plenty of comments on the forum over the years with you defending her. Anyway, thanks for answering. You deny it. It's very interesting.

I like a lot of things about Bernie Sanders too, but I think he'll ultimately weaken Hillary Clinton making a Republican victory more likely, different to, but much like the Nader affect on Gore. But, no worries, you're good with it. Oh, and thanks for calling me Bitchworld, that was very nice of you. Always the gentlemen.

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

You are a third party hack that don't give a damn about wealth inequality you care only about your ego driven bitch party.

Like the mainstream media it is you with nothing but Hillary on your mind, one thing Bernie won't do is to put his name on the ballot and help elect a Republican if he doesn't win the nomination because unlike Nader he is not stupid enough to help elect the GOP only the very stupid do that, like Nader and the Greens.

[-] 0 points by mdonelly (324) from Mineola, NY 8 years ago

What do you call it when people consistently advocate for a corrupt, established party whose people have been screwing us for years?

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

Look just like you I think no body would do as good a job as i would, but still I oppose making me King, the shortcomings of the dems does not however make me stupid or blind and it is stupid as shit to let the GOP win.

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 8 years ago

Campaigning for the GOP? Because "you" are a masochist?

[-] 0 points by lugano (1221) 8 years ago

An impassioned paean to HC can be observed here btw, bw ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=odN4Aq7XjrE but the passion is justified in the circumstances, imo. Warning: Little Bit Scary!

[-] 0 points by lugano (1221) 8 years ago

Is this what you're reduced to frf? Literally, screaming for attention - seriously?! Petty provocations are par for the course here - but that's really desperate, man. You'd be better off reacquainting yourself with OWS, so here you go, try this by Chris Hedges ... http://www.thedailysheeple.com/senior-nato-official-claims-well-be-at-war-by-summer_052015 - and then just ask yourself whatever happened to you, dude.

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

you and your ego whores have been exposed

[-] 0 points by lugano (1221) 8 years ago

''What we have here, is basically an inability to communicate'' so ''Beware of The Dark Side - Luke''! + fyi, see: http://www.politico.com/story/2015/05/hillary-clinton-2016-fearful-bernie-sanders-118346.html

Now go see IF you have got the wit or wisdom; rhyme or reason, to try to break that down and perhaps consider stopping being ''Monkey Likes Shiny'' and fixating on the next new thing! We build from below via such ''comings together'' such as http://www.leftforum.org/ / https://twitter.com/leftforum and OWS; "Rolling Jubilee"; "Strike Debt"; "Fight For $15"; "Black Lives Matter"; and environmentalists like - The Anti-Keystone Pipeline Activists and Supporters as well as those who are concerned with the growing opposition to The US Security/Surveillance State. There is NO magic wand or 'saviour from above' in a 0.01% owned and 1% rigged ''system'' so Grow Up and stop screaming ''Republican'' at everyone here.

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

Maybe you should stop shouting "duopoly" at everything, but that's how you achieve your principal purpose attacking the Dems and electing the GOP, BTW congratulations on your huge victory in 2014! You guys really kicked ass!

I want to see real radical change, the only way that will happen is if the people get their heads out of their asses and get rid of the GOP!

[-] 0 points by lugano (1221) 8 years ago

So what other term for the ''Monopoly of Two Parties'', would you like to use? Like the 'Zero Sum Game ; Binary Reductionist' that you are - and despite numerous explanations to the contrary .. you continue to puke ''GOP'' at all those who just won't suck Democrap-Dick - like you keep doing here, day in; day out.

You are a fkn idiot .. but I'd vote for you against a Repugnant, because no matter how repugnantly you may spew on this forum, you're the lesser of Two Repugnants! Then what? How do you plan to ''get rid of the GOP''? Have you managed to do that in Arizona yet? Has John-WarPig-McCain been unseated?

Finally, don't waste your time replying to me, read this instead .. http://occupywallst.org/forum/the-triumph-of-occupy-wall-street-by-michael-levit/ but you'll have to take your ass-hat off before you do.

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

All you do is work to elect the GOP you stupid jerk!

You never have a bad word to say about the GOP all you do is attack the Dems because it is the GOP you want to win as they did in 2014, you are a liar when you say you support the cause, no one working so hard to elect the GOP could give a damn about wealth inequality!

You can spout out all the bullcrap you want to but the end result is a Republican in the office and that is stupid and people who don't see how stupid that is are either lairs or Republicans!

My plan is simple, tell the truth. You should try it and see what happens.

[-] 0 points by lugano (1221) 8 years ago

You continuously obsess on a political paRaDigm that has nothing to do with democracy and everything to do with 'Corporatocracy' and seem never to have any critique whatsoever of the 'Modern High Finance; Low Ethics' Crapitalism. Why is that? You find a Republican site and we'll both go kick ass .. if you like!

Politics is ultimately a function of Economics, imo - so what say you about that? Tell all the ''truth'' - as will I - but don't forget who owns US-MSM! Have you ever heard of Thom Hartmann? .. http://www.truth-out.org/opinion/item/31450-the-media-won-t-tell-you-the-truth-about-the-media-so-i-will and also fyi, see: http://occupywallst.org/forum/sanders-has-already-won/#comment-1061718 -Do try to meditate on that.

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

Well you know killing the GOP is a big job, certainly doable but big, it requires some effort and idiots like you with your look at me aren't I so much better than the big political parties, look at how smart I am, look at how perfect, well you guys gave us W Bush I don't want to see another disaster like that happen again.

[-] 0 points by lugano (1221) 8 years ago

Are you really aspiring to some kind of 'One Party State'? News for you - with your: ''Two Faction - One Corporate War + Empire Party" of 'Good Cop / Bad Cop'; 'Corporate Donkey / Corporate Elephant' - set up - u have arguably got that now but u just can't see beyond tweedle-Dumb & tweedle-dumbeR! See.... -- http://occupywallst.org/forum/the-democrat-haters-score-another-big-they-got-tpp/#comment-1061822

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

In the past as parties have fallen new ones spring up such that we always have two main ones due to the way our Constitution is written, unlike European models, I think as we kill the GOP the Dems will split you can see the divide between the Sanders/Warren wing and the Clinton wing.

[-] 0 points by lugano (1221) 8 years ago

Well at least that's an honest answer & imo our socio-political hopes are closer than we care to admit. Your strategy of just scaring people with 'GOP = Evil' (which I get) is NOT working. How do you inspire people with the possibility and actuality of real change? With Hillary Clinton? With a different Corporate Banker Controlled 'GOP-Lite'? Other than the usual and tribal Democratic Party voter - just who else is buying that message with any enthusiasm or belief? What do you honestly think OWS is really about? It's NOT ''your way or my way or the highway" - it's about any and all ways to help wake Americans up! + http://occupywallst.org/forum/bernie-sanders-wants-to-tax-stock-trades-to-pay-fo/#comment-1061995

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

By killing the GOP and letting the people see what 5 out 6 Dems believe that will spur even more change, Bernie Sanders represents a huge chance and only the scummiest of the Greens will not support him simply because he actually wants to challenge the GOP not help elect them as Nader did in 2000.

[-] 0 points by lugano (1221) 8 years ago

You really could do with getting over blaming Nader for Gore's lack of mettle but yes - Bernie Sanders brings the most radical pro-99% aspirations and policies to the Dem / Electoral table - for a very Long Time and .. perhaps as long ago as FDR! So here is Thom's take .. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sKpMB_kW35I +Be advised to watch his ''The Big Picture'' show on RT, America. It's very intresting. From a domestic point of view, Sanders is an exceptional candidate but don't mention War & Empire!

EDIT: Re.reply below; how is it u absolve Corporate Whore Democrap/Repugnant pols, from your ire?

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

Nader stands as a reminder of what happens when ego whores want to see their name on a ballot, instead of creating real change.

5th track: (We copy from the worst)

We sing our own politi-speak (politi-speak = talking endlessly while saying "really" nothing at all - nothing of any value - see also: endlessly arguing circular "public self defeating" logic) - tossing aspersions and providing no plans - we're the next best thing to the rethuglicans in office - listen to us sing and pay no attention to the fact that we forward nothing that would be supportive of the people - and so we serve the status quo.
