Forum Post: Becoming equal shareholders over the banks holding the people's deposits.

Here is a "program" :) 1) Make (public) assemblies and 2) privately and in parallel become equal shareholders over the banks holding their deposits.

People do this by first signing (yet without any payment) the (comcomizing) contract among themselves and then by coordinating over it. For better understanding the comcomism, which is the theory about equal ownership by peer owners, we coordinate also some Workshops/Assemblies/Interviews.

Or, you could just be realistic and buy shares.

The point in comcomism (which is the theory for peer owners) is its contract guarantees equality between many individuals, hence comcomism is about the many, even when each individual is buying/selling her/his shares. So I don't understand to whom you point by the "you" in your sentence as you are trying to suggest a kind of an alternative to comcomism, or did I gut it wrong?

I guess, I could have been more proper had I used "one" rather than "you" as I was not implying to mean you, personally.

If one wants peer ownership, they should join a credit union. Of course, credit unions, though having their upsides, are certainly not the drivers behind the development of benefits such as debit cards/online banking, etc.

seems to me that you have more knowledge than me as for comparing the agreement in "credit union" with the flowing contact http://is-with.wikidot.com/personal-agreement-of-ownership-establishing-comcom or do you have one link as for the "credit union". About the comcomized one it is a bout distribution not quality of shares and it allows layering from small units to bigger for keeping the power of the individuals being effective. See the 6 points again when u like to make comparison. and... thanks for any input :)

This is a new idea, in short it is about a contract for people becoming equal shareholders. It is useful for implementing commercially some long term social projects . It also providing a litmus papers as for who is your partners. Here it is about equal shareholders of banks holding their deposits, but it can be used anywhere people can exercise their powers as costumers or employees.

For Activists: the case of the 13 millions activists being ignored in/by the barackobama.com could never be where the ownership over the domain name would be comcomized more here: http://comcom.wikidot.com/comcom-for-activists-or-an-open-letter-to-mitch-stewart

How exactly is this different than a credit union (or a mutual in the case of insurance companies)?

Credit unions are owned by their members, are Federally insured (like banks) and most are members of a "co-op" so you can access ATM's nationwide.

The comcomizing agreement can be implemented in any association, but "normally" and unlike the comcomized ones, the association would not let its members A) selling the share at any time/price and B) having each such transaction reflecting the value of the whole unit.

Having both conditions bind makes the representative/executive branch of the unit to suffer from no-satisfaction of the members on their exit in lower price, lower than when their entry.

This is the most important one, but please see the 6 points (below) to have better understanding. having these 6 points, please take me as ignorant here and list against the comcom points the better points in other structures.

That was as for the point 1 Tradability, also see the point 3. as for Layering: "Each peer owner is either a person or a ComComized unit,.." this is for letting small units hold bigger ones, so that A) in the small ones the members could know each other for their interactions and B) even when moving between the small ones the members could still keep the unity of the bigger ones.

Here are the 6 points summering the contact from http://is-with.wikidot.com/personal-agreement-of-ownership-establishing-comcom

“ComCom”, standing for Common Company, What is that?

  1. Tradability: Based on a contract, any ComComized unit, being one of the 3: Scomcomized, Icomcomized or Dcomcomized, guarantees equality between its peer members being its owners, sitting at its top and owning equal share of it - like shareholders having equal number of its shares.
  2. The d: Added together, all the peers own one portion of the unit, as the rest of the unit (if any) is owned by ordinary (non-peer) owners and the ratio of the peers' portion is d (as d*100 is the percentage), where d of Scomcomized unit is only once defined.
  3. Layering: Each peer owner is either a person or a ComComized unit, where each ordinary owner of Scomcom is either a person or a legal body.
  4. One position - one owner: Directly or indirectly, holding more than one position in it is forbidden.
  5. Peers' autonomy: The number of peers holding it must be agreed independently amongst themselves.
  6. Recursiveness of the contract: Buyers of any of its shares must agree with all the 17 points establishing any ComComized unit!

Also, "Workshare"; Worker representation within a corporation, where workers have a voice at the corporate table equal to managers and stakeholders.

bear26:

  1. we compare here coopartive vs comcomized units: https://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=168332963214567&topic=252
  2. yes, but how to make the corporation accepting partnership with "Workshare".
  3. in essence the call for comcomizing can be implemented anywhere the people practice their power as costumer.
  4. having "small" equal owners can create a political "side" effect, e.g. many equal shareholders over wind farms can make the people of the city fight better for the regulations etc, assuming their pocket telling them "go to the street".
