Where does he stand with OWS?
I saw him on John Stewart! The dude rocked at being a guest!
He Kicked kicked Wall Street's teeth in! If anyone can can ger people fired up against those Diamond Merchants, it would be Sir Reverend Sharpton!
I was never crazy about Sharpton, never trusted him and found him self promoting, and anti-semitic. Be that as it may I will not let the Right wing use him as a wedge issue in order to divide us.
Oh, that divisive jerk, the OWS would be better off without him. Right now, we have people from all walks of life in this moment. There is harmony and brotherhood/sisterhood amongst the protestors and supporters. Martin Luther King would have been proud if he saw the unity of OWS. Let's keep it that way.
It seems to me that Al Sharpton is a populist now since we have far less racial inequality than we did before. He does attack Wall Street and the big bankers with the repressive financial system in this country, but there is a perceived problem with him that people need to overlook. He is entitled to his opinion and I often do not agree with him, but he does genuinely believe that he is helping those that cannot help themselves. Just that general attitude alone should be the example that people take, regardless of ideology.
Yes, he has looked bad many times in the past, but one thing that we can all agree on is his general focus is more towards us than the top 1%, so find the things that we can unite with him on and agree with him on and move that agenda forward. I believe that he would love to see corporate money out of politics.
Let us find the things that we all agree on such as the root cause of the injustices for all individuals. Instead of talking about disagreements that we have with an individual that is meant to divide us, let us work together for the common good. That common good is the 99% that care about what our role is in this country. In fact, Al Sharpton attacking Wall Street is a good thing, because even though we disagree with him on a lot of things, we can agree that economic justice must be had for all people.
He looked great on Stewart! :) Lucid, fair and fine. Though as celeb anchors go, I did like Spitzer.

Yes, I'm a fan. I really liked what he said (and I'm paraphrasing here) - 3 months ago, everyone was talking about the deficit. Now they're all talking about income disparity. If that's the only thing to come out of OWS, that's great. I don't really think there's anything positive to come out of bashing him, and I dont' see him "sucking profit" out of the movement. THose who would dwell on his political foibles need to look hard in the mirror about what is alienating. We need to be a big, inclusive movement to keep this juggernaut flowing along, and Sharpton bashing is just as futile as demanding we turn bombs into arts materials or trading in dollar bills for gold coins. Those might be nice, they might be accurate, but they are not focused on the big picture which is uniting us all. Just my opinion.

I totally agree with Al Sharpton against wall street! The SUPPOSED 1% put signs in the window proclaiming their title and continuing to live in their self built bubble that they have convinced themselves will never burst because they have gotton away with their robbing of main street for so long they are convinced they will never lose. They have the few some, that are not as rich but want to hold on to their wealth and have the chance to get to the level of the 1%, so they support wall street and the republicans in the effort not to change anything that will block their way to possibly getting there. They are arrogant old fat cats who talk as if they're Gods and their words are the best wisdom since the beginning of time. Occupy wall street speaks for America, Those of us that own their homes here in America and ONLY America. Those that have lost or witnessed a dear friend, co-worker, or family member lose their ONLY home here in America so that others who stole the priviledge colud acually forget exactly how many homes THEY owned.
