Sent this day 7/05/2012 An Open Letter Addressed to The Department of STATE - Secretary of State of the United States of America and to the President of the USA and to all of the currently seated members of Government. Please Handle and deliver/share as you would a letter delivered by the USPS. This is also an open letter to the world shared on social media.

Dear Secretary of State, Mr. President, Members of Senate, Members of Congress,

We the People are quite concerned over the developments happening in regard to Iran and Israel and to all of the Middle East, and in extension all developing/3rd world countries - and beyond - the whole world - developed/modern or developing.

We see the policies of the last Decade with much alarm - and to prior decades as very poor statesmanship as well as policies: economic relations agreements, foreign aid and the resolving of conflicts.

We seem to be on a constant path of war/armed conflict. This needs to stop. It is killing our Men and Women of the armed forces - it is killing innocent civilians/bystanders in foreign lands.

These conflicts and their poor resolutions/handling are hurting our economy our society as well as hurting our relations with the rest of the world.

How about we work on exporting PEACE - HEALTH - PROSPERITY - instead of exporting armaments, a police presence, and billions of dollars of foreign aid that does not actually aid the people of those countries and that all drain/strain our economy here in the USA.

How about instead we ( USA ) step in and resolve conflicts peacefully? How about reducing / removing area tensions - strife - by exporting green technology.

Take the current situation between Iran and Israel. All about Nuclear power and the fear of nuclear weapons development. We have the technology to make a uranium power plant unnecessary - why not offer to sell them a thorium power plant/reactor ? Thorium is great for generating power but is not good for use in powering weapons. Let Iran have their nuclear power generation and have it be safe for them and their neighbors.

This approach could be healthy and prosperous for all not just Iran & Israel - but all of the region - all of the world.

You see as we all know we are having major issues with fossil fuel and the strife it has caused and continues to cause world wide. Look at the miserable things happening in Africa today over these resources - look at the history around the world of exploitation pollution and armed conflict.

We have the technology available right now today to end the strife abuse pollution death. The technology to save our world from death by pollution.

Consider - what if instead of throwing billions of dollars away continuously sending money to governments in need of help for their people ( monetary aid that somehow never helps the people ) - what if we were to instead buy products from American Businesses - large and small businesses at market prices not at profiteering prices. These products made here in America domestically could be sent to meet the needs of the afflicted/needy. Food clothing medicine but also and more importantly in many ways - green power/fuel technology that they could be taught to run and maintain - green tech that would be sustainable by these under developed countries. Power to light homes, power to pump water, power to use for transportation - real support for a societies infrastructure and all non polluting.

Poverty/scarcity of resources causes all kinds of societal/world ILLs. We can clearly see the ILLs effects on society of a failing economy right here in the USA and we are a modern and developed country.

We can change all of that - here at home and to the rest of the world. We need not be on a path of perpetual armed conflict.

We have the technology - we have the capability we certainly have the need.

It is all here and ready to use - and this is just what I have stumbled across.

Spread the word.

Green Tech. New and improved - now with Liquid Metal Battery for efficient power storage and distribution.

This is where we should be going: Green Energy we have the technology we just need to use it. This is what I am talking about. A clean future to be implemented NOW!

Support green energy technology - industry - jobs. Save our world save our economy.

Rework free trade agreements as they are currently detrimental to the Business, Employment, Economic and Environmental health of the USA and in extension the world.

Put an end to outsourcing for Profit over People and the environment.

Stop world wide corporate abuses of people and environments.

Give this some serious thought/consideration.

It's time to impeach Clarence Thomas.

From Andrew Boyd, The Other 98%

People what are your thoughts on this proposal from from Andrew Boyd, The Other 98%

Please read and consider.

We have a right to expect our Supreme Court to be impartial, fair, non-partisan and uncorrupted by money and access - but Associate Justice Clarence Thomas has so flagrantly betrayed these expectations, that there is no recourse left but to introduce articles of impeachment.

Justice Thomas "neglected" to report nearly a million dollars in household income made from lobbying related to cases before the court - and then, only made the disclosures when forced by legal obligation.

It's time to impeach Clarence Thomas.

Justice Thomas ignored the calls of 75 members of Congress (and over 100,000 Other 98% activists) to recuse himself from the Affordable Care Act ruling, despite standing to gain millions of dollars in household income through future anti-healthcare lobbying. He then ruled in a way that would make himself richer anyway.

It's time to impeach Clarence Thomas.

Justice Thomas, along with Justice Antonin Scalia, has accepted paid vacation junkets and speaking engagements at conservative think tanks, Koch Brother strategy retreats, and Tea Party gatherings - in a few cases just weeks before ruling on cases these interests had before the court, including Citizens United.

It's time to impeach Clarence Thomas.

Justice Thomas has made his partisan allegiances clear. And we must act. It is time to remove this corporate servant from a position where he can continue to cripple our democracy.

Any member of the House of Representatives can introduce the motion to Impeach - it literally takes a single member of Congress brave enough to do the right thing.

This simple step could do wonders for our national discourse - sending a clear message to members of the Court that they act in the public eye, and can no longer let their lifetime appointment be a cover for blatant corruption.

Let's take that step together.

Sincerely,

Andrew Boyd, The Other 98%

Ending the war on the trolls should be the first step taken toward peace.

[-] -2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Well all they have to do is take that one step. Leave the forum. They won't.

[-] -1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Goodmornin Everbody.

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

Looks like a rough night for some the trolls are working hard, I'll see what I can do.

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Mornin frf. What do you mean? Don't worry about the troll/shill attacks - they serve a dual purpose - they bump good posts and at the same time advertise why support for Occupy is a good thing as they present an interactive representation of the wrong that we oppose.

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

Hey they tried a couple of ID thefts on me and posted some crap about you under it, I was falttered and all, knew you would not be fooled, I guess outright id theft attempts are frowned upon by the mods, I think that's a good thing, anyway.

It's IBB - vvvRustyButtheadBrucie and he did that ID forgery/falsity to quite a few. Currently he is sulking ( I would guess ) for failing again to discredit me and failure to cause trouble between us. I can tell he is sulking because he has been busy with his sock puppets running around and doing the silent votedown on people ( have you noticed an unusual number of of good comments by people with a -4 or more?. Fucking idiot thinks it hurts for some reason. Actually to me it points out to me the work of a shill/troll even if they do not make a comment when they do it.

I'm back-logged because, yes I did notice, I guess one can "occupy" a forum too, anyway, I think there are more of the "good" folks than "bad" and so things work out, I guess that's what democracy looks like.

Freedom of speech. Though it seems silly to visit a site and present reasons for people to support the effort/movement that you are against. Shills - huh.

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

Well since it's "just us" here, I will say I think in a way it's cool to bump into people who care, even if they are dead wrong, apathy is the toughest thing to fight sometimes.

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

I love meeting people who care - who actually care and may not have all of the facts/information necessary to make/draw the correct conclusions - those individuals are different than the shill supporters of corpoRATs.

[-] -1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Goodnight Everbody - wishing you sweet dreams of a healthy and prosperous world for all.

Thanks again shill for bumping a good post and:

Well if nothing else they are useful for bumping a post - and when commenting they show good examples of the evil we are fighting against.

2 for 1 - huh - trolls/shills of the corpoRATs - doing publicity for the reasons to support Occupy - just by being themselves - Funny That.

BTW - start at the top of the post - for the new content - the green tech is something you have seen before - and is likely you will see again.

Now after a pretty good day of talking about education and outreach and communications and relations and cause and effect.

Does that encourage anyone to up their communications and outreach?

Like maybe sending an open letter to government and copying it out to social media for the rest of the world to share?

[+] -6 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Sounds excellent. I support it.
