I think it has potential. Eminent domain is usually looked at by individuals as a bad thing because local government can seize your property and compensate you at what they determine to be fair market value, and during good economic times that value might be less than what you could get for it if you sold it privately. But in a long-term sluggish economy like we have, this just might work out well. But they still would need to compensate the homeowner fairly. If they do that, then this is probably a good idea. Nice find on your part.
