Forum Post: A Coalition of the oppressed, the poor, the high minded beat the bigots last night.

And we also beat down the narcissistic white power so called "leftist" abstentionists and third party flacks. We left your coalition (and you are a part of them if you agitated against voting down the GOP) kicked in the groin, writhing on the ground and howling at the moon.

Now, why not just admit your error and get right with those you tried to throw under the bus?

The problem is that what you won is something lesser than what you at present have.

[-] 1 points by bestevidence (170) 11 years ago

We sent the racist white supremacists and bigots of all stripes packing. We told Wall Street with their money and their superpacs and their citizens united to go to hell. We told the Koch brothers to eat shit and die. We told ultra right zionist, money launderer and bordello owner Sheldon Adelson that the Obama Justice Department still lives and he had better lawyer up but good because he just threw $53 millions down the toilet..

Would you have bothered if Obama was white?

[-] 1 points by bestevidence (170) 11 years ago

If the GOP were running a campaign of such vitriol and dog whistle (and sometimes not so dog whistle) bigotry against say, Hillary Clinton, I would have been moved to vote. Certainly if the GOP ran a Mormon I'd be moved to learn about Mormonism (which I did) and having learned what I learned, it would have been mandatory for me to go vote against this social virus. (Which I did).

As you know, a lot of "conservative" money was thrown in various directions; can you tell me exactly what was to be gained by an Obama defeat?

[-] 1 points by bestevidence (170) 11 years ago

I'm not a conservative theoretician nor strategist. I'm not even a conservative. In my opinion they would have gained the cultural and political atmospheric high ground and momentum, which would be ugly. They got stopped, slowed down for a while.

The right wing as in Koch brothers and Sheldon Adelson and various other billionaires showed a clear preference and I suppose they know what they want, although they often don't know what time it is or how the wind is blowing. A rule I follow is "if they are for it I am against it."

[-] 0 points by Saesneg (-166) from Linwood, NJ 11 years ago

Well that's the question; other than the cultural high ground, what specifically did they hope to gain?

[-] 1 points by bestevidence (170) 11 years ago

Stopping their momentum is important if you are gay, black, a woman who has a sexual life, a worker, especially a low wage worker, a latin@. Now someone once said that fascism isn't all that bad if you are not in a target group. I can't find it on google though.

Non-voters are bigots now? Wow. Tammy Baldwin 2016. I will be voting if she runs for president. What's your plan buddy?

[-] 1 points by bestevidence (170) 11 years ago

I do not know what will unfold between now and 2016 so I can not tell you what I'll do. God willing I'll still be alive. I hope we have a revolution by then and that the elections will look entirely different than they did this year.

Non voters who were inclined towards Obama did help the bigots. Non voters who were inclined towards Rmoney hurt the bigots. Which were you?

[-] 1 points by stevebol (1269) from Milwaukee, WI 11 years ago

Sounds freudian so I'll pass on answering. On to 2016. I believe it will be Tammy Baldwin v Condy Rice. I will be voting for Baldwin.

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

Nah. Your just another over the hill white dude. 'member?

[-] 0 points by stevebol (1269) from Milwaukee, WI 11 years ago

Lol. Sometimes I don't vote, and sometimes I do. Baldwin can beat the Clinton machine. Just have to get her to run. She can beat Ryan too if repubs go that way.

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

You have some time before the next election cycle. You could just cross that bridge when you get there. Yeah?

[-] 0 points by stevebol (1269) from Milwaukee, WI 11 years ago

No, I am in campaign mode already. You snooze you lose.

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

Then you will have to fuck off then,. :D

[-] 0 points by stevebol (1269) from Milwaukee, WI 11 years ago

No need to get nasty.

[-] -1 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

You think you won. You actually lost, regardless of who you voted for. The fact that you can't see that is further proof that you lost.

[-] 1 points by bestevidence (170) 11 years ago

What we did was set back the fascists, not defeat them. I am here to say we need a revolution and the Democrats are not any answer for the masses. Saying tha,t the racists, the gay bashers, the misogynists, the lunatic evangelicals and Mormons got their asses whipped in the town square and it was good to see.

[-] -1 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

The fascists win regardless, as evidenced by Obamacare and the TPP.

The social conservatives on the other hand, yes they did lose the Senate and the POTUS, but still won the House.

In reality, nothing really changed.

[-] 1 points by bestevidence (170) 11 years ago

The political and cultural climate of the country was poised to lurch towards fascism. That was delayed, perhaps prevented.

[-] 1 points by stevebol (1269) from Milwaukee, WI 11 years ago

They're going to play this up a lot over the next 4 years, non-voters are narcissistic, bigotted, etc...Then they're going to try to give us another nominee who supports the death penalty. It's like clock-work.

[-] -2 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

Voting is but one day in a 1,460 day process.

By the time election day comes, all the work is already done. After a while it's easy to see who the winners are going to be.

[-] -1 points by Saesneg (-166) from Linwood, NJ 11 years ago

Counterproductive: An Obama win will not aid those who wish to continue living off other people's incomes and investments.

[-] 1 points by bestevidence (170) 11 years ago

wtf? try a paragraph. that way i'll know what t f your point is.

[-] 0 points by freewriterguy (882) 11 years ago

then let those who have stolen this land from us give it back and they can keep their damn investments. Our fathers fought and conquered this land and the children are becoming homeless on it, yet there is more land than there are people to inhabit it.

[-] -1 points by Coyote88 (-24) 11 years ago

Good post! I've always believed that the democratic party would prevail! But what about the divided congress? How will we get power over the House?

[-] 2 points by bestevidence (170) 11 years ago

I had hoped and worked to see the GOP get its ass whipped. That was a good thing but I do not have confidence in the Dems without an enormous push from the outside. When all is said and done it's a revolution that has to happen for the good of humanity, (all species really, as well as the earth and possibly the universe itself.

[-] 0 points by freakzilla (-161) from Detroit, MI 11 years ago

If Obama blows it this time, I'm blaming you.

[-] 2 points by bestevidence (170) 11 years ago

Obama is not my friend. Romney and his cohorts are fascism American style. They had to be turned back and thank God they were. As for the rest of it. You need to get busy with your revolution, and stop yelling at me.

[-] -1 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

First the court decides that corporate money is speech. Then Congress decides they can force us to buy their shit.

We are already there dude.

[-] 2 points by bestevidence (170) 11 years ago

Yes, it is already fascism for the poor. It was about to get much much worse. Gay bashers and misogynists and white supremacists and Mormons got set back, all good things.

[-] -2 points by Clancy (42) 11 years ago

Obama is gonna fuck everything up even more than he already has,

[-] -1 points by BetsyRoss (-744) 11 years ago

4 more years just like the last 4....oh goodie! At least he'll have to say he inherited THIS mess from himself...right? rolls eyes
