Yes I've been watching Bernie for many years, I always considered Warren to be a newcomer to the battle though I welcome her.

tattoo it on your forehead - it will make a longer lasting statement - and instead of wasting a vote - you may actually influence some of the general public before you die of old age or a climate catastrophe or something.

the senate should stop the airstrikes ?

We have better positive-sum games to play than the lousy negative-sum games such as wars or airstrikes. Of course, we ourselves sometimes chose to have a part of ourselves cut off in "surgery" such as what our 2 Corinthians did/misdid with ISIS. Exit criterion is relatively easy to formulate from the entry criterion. If the entry criterion is no longer valid or has become irrelevant, we exit. My concern is whether our Leftists such as Bernie have a good understanding of the problems our allies and enemies face worldwide.

Any idiot can blurt out, "Build a wall to keep the southern hordes from invading us." Walls are generally breachable because they are static once built so we need to keep on replacing them. How are we going to protect New York from being drowned again? Build a wall, right? Am I smart, kids?! What do you do when a higher sea level occurs? Well, we'll build an even taller wall! Once breached, we drown.. Niagra, duh!

Besides, we have assassins flying into the U.S. with impunity. I haven't read much about any amigo near-slaves murdering a member of Mitt Romney's family yet. There are many terrorist groups hoping to strike at the U.S. homeland but I haven't heard of them trudging miles and miles of deadly hot desert to attack us. Maybe they did but were roasted. One thing that had struck me greatly ( even for a longtime and long-distance hiker like me who had drunk from, ahem, the mountain stream water that had rolled through the dale and the dell; we the pubescent and blushing boys could have been 99-and-44/100%-pure-soap-opera producers! Don't ever succumb to Ma Bell's chiming: to gawk is human [male.. as I've been stunned by the beauty of goddesses, but as in an art museum with priceless treasures to be conserved for posterity,] to really foul things up is to "reach out, reach out, and touch someone!" without consent; Western norm takes touching without consent as bodily assault so hands off, mouth off, back off! this point is especially important to anyone, likely male, from countries or cultures where the females are treated as being subservient; another definite no-no is the arbitrariness of judgment; citation of legal precedents and sections of relevant laws are required for the imposition of justice; conflict of interest is to be avoided; this is the reason why our Shittoad-in-Chief should be removed from perching on its toadstool in our People's Temple; in the U.S., we generally take the freedom of speech and assembly seriously so foreigners who cannot tolerate the heat should never come to the U.S. such as Turkey's President Erdoğan's bodyguards who had basically started a riot in Washington D.C. because the land belongs to the U.S. and diplomats are generally protected by a host county's police and security forces; our Shittoad-in-Chief's failure at handling this event properly, diminished the global respect for the U.S. worldwide and likely led to the Medieval torturous behaviors abroad assaulting human rights so our neighborhood children should line up to take turns shooting from a steel-rib bow, the arrows made from the same steel ribs of a broken umbrella retrieved from the neighborhood garbage dump; the legal ground for removal is that the Shittoad-in-Chief broke the Oath of Toadstool ) when I first ventured out to the bulk of the U.S., was just how immensely large it really is. It goes on and on and it's rural! I wonder if the people there could hear the former-Soviet-Union/now-Russian national anthem's lyrics as well as the Chelyabinsk-Magnitogorsk people played the U.S. national anthem. City folks like our Shittoad-in-Chief who doesn't even ride the M.T.A. may very well be floored if they actually venture out on foot. I propose that he walk on foot to inspect every inch of land on which "the Wall" is to be built before starting to build it.

When a car is stuck in wintry slush, we rock it back and forth to dislodge it. Rocking it backwards doesn't mean that we actually want to drive the car backwards. (I hope) we are not like the teenagers who on a night out had overused the family car so they backward-drove the car incessantly in a traffic circle to unwind the mileage recorded by the car's odometer before going home.

Engaging the automatic lane-change-preventing Artificial-"Intelligence" driver-assisting feature can be very helpful to the teenagers unwinding mileage in a traffic circle because "Mom and Dad" transregulate the daily mileage driven but not the gasoline used so "doctoring the grade report" will work for the shutdown which unsurprisingly and unfortunately is a "contact" sport.

In fact, ALL interactions of any kind (physics, chemistry, biology, etc.) are contact sports. Causality reigns while objective reality is manufactured in a container. What's the shape of liquid water? It depends on how one measures (i.e., interacts with) it. What's the shape of the container? It's also the central question to be answered on the path to developing a plutonium-based bomb.

I must do some research on pootinium. Is pootinium a shape-shifting metal which can meld different metals together as mercury can to form an amalgam or is it like girl-ium which seeps into the crevice of a block of plutonium being sawed so that its geometry can be precisely (i.e., numerically) controlled without any splashes and/or broken pieces when the Megahard Corporation goes for realizing its vision of: "a plutonium-bomb on every desk." Pluton-ium's etymology says that it means "Wealth's Region." It might very well be Manhattan where its namesake project had been started.

Globalism needs to be promoted by the Global Plutonium Association because it takes a good plutonium bomb to stop a bad plutonium bomb. Plutonium bombs don't kill people; people kill people. It's important globally to have informed citizenry so the Global Plutonium Association should promote the peaceful usages of plutonium bombs, to inform the global citizenry in the art, science, and craft of making desktop plutonium bombs, to educate said citizenry with the tactical usages of plutonium bombs to achieve global security for all, and to entertain their children with the aftermath so that they shall live out the true meaning of their creed of being scions to the Titans of "industrious labor." Lesson 0: Desktop plutonium bombs are not thermonuclear weapons. No one can heat nuclei hot enough to achieve a bang easily. As kids had said about doing mathematics, "It's too hard!" If it were easy, why did we need so many powerful and exquisitely aligned lasers in our National Ignition Facility to "heat up or thermolize" the very tiny pellet containing deuterium and tritium put inside of the 10-mm-long Hohlraum? Think about why the experimenters cooled the target to cryogenic temperature of 18K near absolute zero before trying ignition. Wouldn't it be less complicated to "heat it up" starting from room temperature? What's the cooling for? What's the state of the deuterium and tritium interacting with the X-rays?

X-rays carry momentum as ALL electromagnetic waves do which impinge on the pellet. In plutonium bombs the mediators are neutrons ricocheting and regenerating amongst the plutonium atoms. Neutrons which escape through the surface of a plutonium block are lost to splitting plutonium atoms in the block. The shapes of the blocks are therefore critical to the success. Even nations with great resources had problems with achieving success initially. However, we are not kids who find mathematics too hard, right? Besides, we can use supercomputers to speed up the mathematical calculations. Theoretical result which indicates what is asymptotically achievable spurs on practical and well-funded efforts such as the Information Revolution (egged on by Claude E. Shannon's 1948 [information theory breakthrough] classic paper) as well as the Manhattan Project.

While re-enacting "the Opening of 天門 華China," talking over a cup of Maotai with a friend who badgered me about explaining what that mysterious white floor object of Cosmic Significance in the summit meeting among the dig-nit-aries of the U.S. and 安China was, I quietly congratulated myself with pride over my cultural literacy and related my belief that the KGB which had worked so hard to penetrate everybody had probably planted it there so it was a KGB-listening device in disguise as a glaringly white chamber pot. Pootin was probably listening in there and squirming in [dis]comfort. My friend spotted an excellent location for a spying device! I like a pootinium-clad (no upgrading to plutonium or our kiddie Nutzis would be fried!) chamber pot under every desk better than the vision of Megahard Corporation, for the Lord had said, "The first shall be last. And the last shall be first." I still remember my "élite"-kindergarten stint as "the Savior of kiddie butts," while I was walking in the shadow of the Lord. "One day, the Grace of Heaven shall flow as the East River, to Governor's Island and past it, to feed the crabs of Coney Island." The Lord commanded, "Feed my sheep." Yes, indeed, Coney Island crabs were caught, steamed, and eaten in "the Circle of Life."

I have a dream, "The Lord raised a beast with a single big horn." Too much SuckAss! The stock market tanked last year.

Bernie Sanders Gets Stamp of Approval From Cornel West New York Times · 3 hours ago

Cornel West, the influential scholar and civil rights activist, has endorsed Senator Bernie Sanders for president

[-] -2 points by factsrfun (8342) from Phoenix, AZ 9 years ago

This excellent news.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 years ago

Very much so! I sent Elizabeth an e-mail asking when she was ever gonna come out in full support of Bernie. I said that she should be 100% behind Bernie as they both state much that is the same publicly. I asked what she was waiting for - as the choice was simple = support the public or support the same old same old establishment politics.

[-] 2 points by turbocharger (1756) 9 years ago

Hmmm... at the end of the day, whats the career politician going to do?

You need to remember that the D/R thing is a racket. Its not a democracy. Once the DNC gives Bernie the nod, here comes all the money for all the campaign offices, commercials, etc.

Unless you think the racket is going to voluntarily allow someone to mess up a century old power structure that seems to be functioning very well for the most part, still?

Change is only going to come from the outside, you will never get it joining their racket. Its all a game of mass psychology. And right now theres a lot of borderline outside energy being sucked right back in, all because of one human, because we are a celebrity culture.

Occupy nailed how to get change. Its why the racket needed to shut it down. Its why the racket doesnt allow democracy at the conventions. Its why the racket doesnt allow outsiders in their debates.

Its time for YOU to decide what you are waiting for.

I think Biden asked for the meeting with Warren to find out if and when she will endorse someone and who that would be.

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 years ago

Yeah - Biden - HRC is taking a nose dive so Biden is now being sought to take her place.

It would so totally suck if Elizabeth went with endorsing establishment politics.

[-] -1 points by factsrfun (8342) from Phoenix, AZ 9 years ago

the only label I care about is GOP, hunt them down and take them out by any means possible, but I do hope Bernie wins and I think he will get Elizabeth's endorsement

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 years ago

The GOP in office are very clearly the actively evil in office. That being said HRC is another elitist who only says what she needs to say (lip service) to get elected and then do her own thing for her own goals.

If Elizabeth is really for the people and really against establishment politics - then - there really is no other candidate at this time that she should endorse. She needs to endorse Bernie and there-by also endorse others like her and Bernie for all other offices. Yes the democratic party could be a whole lot better than it is - still it is like life giving water right now as compared to the poisonous death dealing GOP.

[-] -2 points by factsrfun (8342) from Phoenix, AZ 9 years ago

If I got to use a knife to carve up the GOP, I ain't dulling up the edge first. I see this as a serious battle for the future and we absolutely can not have another Bush.

" As we celebrate Labor Day 2015, it’s worth pausing to consider which candidate running for president best represents the working class. The Republicans, despite their folksy rhetoric, are the party of Big Business. For decades, their policies have undermined the economic interests of their social base. They support corporate tax cuts; they push trade deals that outsource jobs to low-wage countries; they oppose raising the minimum wage; they want to shrink social safety nets; they refuse to invest in America’s crumbling infrastructure and their pro-corporate policies, which masquerade as small government initiatives, have increased income inequality and put the squeeze on the middle class."

Don't absolve Democrats for the state of affairs in the US but you're right about Bernie and the 99%.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 years ago

The democrats in office have much to do to get away from supporting establishment politics. That being said - the most of em (except for Blue Dogs - Rethuglicans that ran as dem to gain office) - are like life giving water as compared to the toxic death dealing rethuglicans who are in office.

You may want to add your voice: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/09/07/1419217/--As-we-celebrate-Labor-Day-2015

[-] 1 points by grapes (5232) 9 years ago

Establishment politics may well be dead. The so-called frontrunners backed by big money seem to be stumbling badly. I am happy that I am getting Alzheimer's memory about them. In this case, forgetfulness is bliss. Who? What?

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 years ago

Perhaps "rethuglican" establishment politics is on life support - but - the dems are still fairly healthy (at this point in time still running a fever like they have the flu) in their support of establishment politics.

The dems are nowhere near as toxic as the rethuglicans at this point in time - but - they still need to take the full cure.

Bernie and Elizabeth show real possibility for a cure to be delivered - but - they can not do it alone - so the revolution (change in representation local state and federal) still has a ways to go..

Planned Parenthood is in big trouble and is being claimed that it may cause another shutdown of the U.S. government. The proper response to this national crisis is to declare categorically that "I did not have sex with that server, Mr. Goldman."

Influencing politics = it takes more than one voice or action.

Add your voice.

Contact e-mail I sent to the DNC http://my.democrats.org/... :

You are looking for public support.

1st you need to support the public!

Consider the fact that the Party is too much establishment politics = catering to the wealthy few and corporations.

You wanna change your image?

Consider:

Get the potus to drop/rescind his insane all of the above energy program and stance.

Get the potus to join in Bernie Sanders campaign.

Stop limiting Bernie Sanders debate opportunities.

Make your debates solidly about issues and not about popularity contests.

And THEN we can talk about supporting the DNC.

Get your membership (in office) BUSY = supporting the issues that concern us all: (take Bernie's full campaign agenda as a good starting point)

Wealth Inequality

An immediate Living minimum "living wage" (tied to inflation) of no less than $15.00 an hour to START with.

Remove corruption from legislation = PUSH FOR ONE SUBJECT AT A TIME LEGISLATION ! Push for it NOW !!

Corporate money and wealthy individuals - buying government. (do something like come out in full support of overturning citizens united - perhaps endorse The Move To Amend Campaign).

End fossil Fuel Subsidies and transfer that money to implementation of clean energy alternatives.

Close tax loopholes of the wealthy and corporations - end the off shore tax havens.

Join together as a united front to do this (and so much more) - or expect to see continued dwindling support for the DNC by the majority of the public!

Do these things - starting "NOW" - the public is tired of hearing you just give lip service!

Absence of "Forum Posts" is NOT absence of posting on this OWS Forum, ffs frf, lol! Eg. see IF U can

find a ''Forum-Post'' by bw - but do U deny that she has been a Pro-99% voice here on this forum? My

work for Sen. Sanders was mainly conducted on Twitter - where there was clearly ... a far wider reach!

Maybe U>frf should contemplate .. NOT being such a Partisan Democrap Con-self-servative Dingbat?

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, has been & still is a POLITICAL INDEPENDENT his whole political

life, other than trying to secure the Democratic Party POTUS nomination for The 99% ... when he lost

the Dem Primary to Hellary Rotten Clinton in '16, due to the fact that the DNC is wholly subordinate to

U$A's Corporate Military Industrial/Banker/Oligarchy Complex! Bernie was antithetical to U and USA's

Corp.Dem A$$-kissers like U but U'll make out that U've always loved Sanders & his Pro-99% Politics,

despite a fact that 3 years ago U regarded him a political enemy - just as U regard all those who point

out and criticize Corp. Dem/DNC complicity with & co-option by ... U$A's 0.01% Oligarchy, whose own

preferred POTUS candidate was one - HRC! U are such a consummate liar or delusional dork. I'm not

quite sure which but the sad day in my life when I'm answerable 2U4 anything, has not yet arrived, lol!

Sadly I now have to remind U of your Hysterical Raving Complicity with HRC,

IF U are able to read and understand the pretty plain English of my prior reply .. U will realize just how

stupid your reply above was. Do U get that Twitter has just a li'l more reach than a OWS Forum? FYI:

et temet nosce!

[-] -2 points by factsrfun (8342) from Phoenix, AZ 6 years ago

so I see you couldn't find anything where you supported Bernie during his run for POTUS and anyone can open the links above and look through the threads and see that YOU weren't there for Bernie, Bernie ALWAYS caucuses WITH the Democrats you caucus with the ego whore GOP electing Greens!

and none of your "tweets" were posted DURING the 2015 run you were sitting on your hands hoping Bernie would lose....

[-] 0 points by ImNotMe (1488) 6 years ago

[-] 1 points by ImNotMe (1488) 5 years ago

''Do Russiagate Promoters Prefer Impeaching Trump ... To Avoiding War With Russia?! The year 2018 in the history of the new Cold War.''

Get it straight, I was pushing Bernie Sanders; before your HRC/DNC luvin' ass ever even heard of him!

Furthermore, I'll still push him to GO INDEPENDENT ... when the DNC pick Biden or Beto over Bernie!

Sadly, your STOCKHOLM SYNDROME remains unaddressed, untreated & so ... is getting ever worse!

doofus maximus - nosce te ipsum!

[-] -2 points by factsrfun (8342) from Phoenix, AZ 5 years ago

well you didn't post a damn thing in support of Bernie when he was running for the nomination, I have no doubt you will be there for Trump working as hard as you can to get him re-elected, you don't need to say that, that's a given; but we will see if you can bring yourself to support Bernie in the primaries, you didn't last time, and I was watching Bernie on CSPAN before you were born punk!

[-] 1 points by ImNotMe (1488) 5 years ago

Beware RW Pseudo-Centrist Dems 2020 strategy ... let's beat tRUMP by - becoming Republicons!

It's as if your amnesiac, geriatric self can't recall a reply made to U just two replies further up this thread,

never mind the fact that U can't recall what RW "Centrist", Corp. Dems did! U ever heard of The D.L.C.?!

e tenebris lux?

[-] 1 points by beautifulworld (23822) 5 years ago

Bernie Sanders is still the one who can beat Trump.

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/dec/19/why-bernie-sanders-is-still-the-most-progressive-choice-for-president

"With less than two years until election day, no other Democratic candidate has the ability to defeat Donald Trump"

Sanders is THE most popular Senator:

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/elections/2018/10/10/senator-approval-ratings-morning-consult/1590329002/

Now, we'll have to sit back and watch the Dems tear themselves into shreds once again.

[-] 1 points by ImNotMe (1488) 5 years ago

Re. Bernie Sanders, here's why .. "With less than two years until election day, no other Democratic candidate has the ability to defeat Donald Trump" ...

Bernie Sanders' ''ideas have set the agenda for the Democratic party for the past two years, with elected officials trying to burnish their progressive credentials by doing photo ops with Sanders and adopting his policies, from free college to Medicare for All (a plan that even the majority of Republican voters now favor). Many polls suggest he is the most popular politician in the country, and would be the clear favorite in a match-up against Trump. Attempts to portray Sanders as the candidate of white “Bernie Bros” ignore the facts – Sanders has higher favorability ratings among people of color than any other Democratic politician. It’s obvious that he’s the party’s best shot. He has a formidable team of experienced organizers, national popularity and name recognition, and a clear, bold agenda that can win over working-class people of all genders and races.''

Thanx for both your very interesting links & as we head towards 2019 and 2020 ... here are insights into some standard DNC de facto RW - Liberal 'thinking' ...

Despite the plethora of US/UK RW thinking, there are still reasons for optimism that The 99% are slowly but surely waking from the RW anaesthetic that they've been fed for generations. Solidarity for 2019 bw.

ad iudicium ...
