where on the web site are the list of demands?

[-] 1 points by ironboltbruce (371) from Miami, FL 12 years ago

I hereby openly and before God and the Kleptocracy endorse and stand ready to support the "Occupy Wall Street" event:

https://occupywallst.org/users/ironboltbruce/

I also hereby reverse my previous position and guidance, and reinstate my support for the "Stop the Machine" event:

http://october2011.org/statement

I recognize that in so doing I am allying myself with people who do not share all of my political beliefs, that I will be standing side-by-side in protest with those of the Far Left - including Communists, Socialists and Anarchists - as well as those of the Far Right - including Libertarians, Tea Partyists and Ron Paulists - and that their race, ethnicity and name for the Almighty may differ from mine. But politics makes for strange bedfellows, the enemy of my enemy is my friend, and all who join this protest agree that our Ruling Omnipotent Fascist Kleptocracy is the enemy of all Mankind.

I ask those more closely associated with these events to consider me at their disposal to support to the limits of my resources and abilities any and all actions - including non-violent civil disobedience - aimed at toppling the Kleptocracy, exposing the truth about 9/11, repealing the Patriot Act, reversing Citizens United v. FEC, ending our perpetual wars for oil and profit, retrieving the trillions of dollars stolen from or made burden of the taxpayers, and restoring Jeffersonian Democracy and the Constitutional Republic of the United States of America.

Lastly, I recognize that making this pledge public may have ramifications including and not limited to being placed on no-fly or other surveillance lists, and for that I say Big Brother be damned: I do this for my grandchildren, in hopes they can grow up as free citizens rather than indentured slaves.

WILL YOU JOIN ME?

The media will at best give you marginal coverage, at worst will misrepresent and demonize you. The police will at best make your life difficult and at worst, well, must we spell it out?

In an Orwellian media landscape, being your own media is a radical act.

In a Corporate Feudalist economic order preaching isolating atomized individualism for everyone else (while the Corporate collectivist behemoths merge and align with one another and buy "our" government) it is a radical act to engage in solidarity, empathy, mutual aid, and sympathy.

In a violence-worshiping culture, it is a radical act to be strong and forceful in a non-violent way.

In a culture force feeding us hypercompetitiveness, it is a radical act to be humble and to learn from one another, to honor those different from you at the protest, and seek common ground and coalition, and mutual support and giving from out strengths freely while accepting help and ideas from our brothers and sisters in areas where we can receive assistance.

Do things that will last even if they break the back of this event: get contact information for one another, hold workshops on grassroots economics, on decentralized energy, local currencies, community owned food gardens, media-making and so forth. Those of us who cannot be there in person will find ways of legally supporting those nonviolently practicing their legal rights to dissent.

Most of you there know all of this: that dissent is the most Patriotic when done to make for a better nation. And that dissent alone is not enough. Demanding change from those in power is necessary, but not sufficient. In parallel, building grassroots institutions is absolutely critical.

See www.october2011.org for a somewhat similarly inspired event starting Oct 6, 2011 in D.C. Meanwhile stay safe, be wise, think tactically while staying true to your principles, and help bring positive change this sick system so badly needs.

The union protects poor people with terrible jobs, and gives them a chance to make decent wages and get health care that would otherwise be unattianable

Wow, good old Jimmy Hoffa, make over 300K and that just what he has reported, but I do hear he like Cash. Thank you from the Motor City.

You have no idea of what coming... Rule 1: Power is not only what you have, but what an opponent thinks you have. If your organization is small, hide your numbers in the dark and raise a din that will make everyone think you have many

Don't forget to wear Red,and your books to hold high.. Rule 8: Keep the pressure on. Use different tactics and actions and use all events of the period for your purpose. “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this that will cause the opposition to react to your advantage.”

Don't think it's going to work,,,,,,,

Don't pretend you love America. You want exchange the American dream for a socialist state. In the end you will be exposed as what you are - insignificant.

[-] 1 points by haightashbury98 (4) 12 years ago

Don't worry, winter is coming and these people will be in their parents basement playing video's.

[-] 0 points by anonymous () 12 years ago

The American dream, insofar as it ever existed and wasn't simply a lie, has morphed into a nightmare of debt.

We are insignificant - under a system that serves only the ruling class, the ownership class, the top 1% of society. In a system where abstract representations of wealth are afforded more importance than real human beings and real wealth, yes, we are insignificant - this is why are occupying wall street.

We are real people: http://wearethe99percent.tumblr.com/

Two points worth mentioning:

1) The 'Norml' Foundation freedom card is a good outline to know your right when being detained by the NYPD

2) Empahsis... 'Anything you say can and WILL be used against you' An arresting officer will use ANYTHING you say, and spin it to legitimize the arrest.

Be safe. Be calm. Be intelligent. Good luck.

Some realities:

1) Anonymous will not be legally allowed to wear masks in public, so leave them at home. (Read up on local penal code, scrubs.)

2) This is not Egypt. You will either be ignored or arrested but under no circumstances will a peaceful protest be successful in this country.

3) You made the biggest mistake when you associated with Anonymous. Absofuckinlutely no one is going to take you idiots seriously now.

Die in a fire and go away please. You Are Useless.

"You will either be ignored or arrested but under no circumstances will a peaceful protest be successful in this country."

They said that about Egypt, too. Then Tahrir happened.

'Anonymous' associates with whatever and whomever they want. They also showed solidarity with the Egyptians. It doesn't matter if people 'take us seriously' or not. And the real test of that will come tomorrow.

The only thing that's useless is your cynicism.

I have never seen a union boss with an average house. Always a house above $500k. Good to see your union dues are going towards the employees' job security
