Occupy Pittsburgh Facing Noon Eviction Deadline

Following a court issued injunction on behalf of BNY Mellon ordering the removal of "all tents and other structures, camping equipment, and stored personal items" from People's Park, Occupy Pittsburgh is facing an eviction deadline scheduled for 12PM eastern, today. Occupy Pittsburgh will be holding a press conference at that time, which will be livestreamed along with today's other events.

In solidarity, please help Occupy Pittsburgh's official response to their eviction reach as many relevant recipients as possible.

By foreclosing only on mortages that were nearly paid off Mellon got all of the interest and a great deal of the principle back on those older mortgages plus got the property itself! Newer mortgage holders were allowed to continue living in their homes. Bush was truly reckless and should have been charged with reckless endangerment! I'm no financial expert but I am a realist and I knew what was going to result. I kept thinking about how families would not be able to pay their mortgage, how the banks would foreclose and also get their cake and eat it too..many times over. When I saw empty expensive homes sitting in AZ, I knew that the banks had already made their money on those homes..otherwise, they would not allow their property to just sit there rotting with slime in pools and mold in the frig, etc... My dear friends in Australia knew what was going to happen as well and they warned me to NOT buy any property, not buy a big SUV gas guzzler ( which Bush also encouraged) and so on. So why did so many Americans fall prey to those Peter Pan promises? Because they believed in their leadership/authority. When you're someone who works hard and is always struggling, it's easy to believe what their president tells them. We are always being tempted by the apple ( even the ' i-apples!) . Bush also referred to God as his adviser many times to promote this American dream and the war. When folks work hard and are still struggling to get ahead and to meet the demands of every day life, they become tired, desperate and gullible. Many Americans today live like their immigrant ancestors did in their old country. The 99% are most affected by it and don't understand the nature of the beast.</p> <p>The politicians around the world are either gullible, stupid or are lying but none are willing to confront it - despite the threat to national security of such a dangerous apparatus.</p> <p>It is a direct threat to any nations sovereignty - just look at Greece. Why has not someone decided to rename this park "Mellon" park? If this institution can get an injunction against The First Amendment, then they should be credited with ownership of the park. Maybe this park should be renamed as "Lost Freedom Park." I think that someone ought to consider taking this park under Eminent Domain Laws and sinking an oil well into it or something. True power of people,today, exists under the 10th Ammendment. All U.S. citizens are seen thru lens of law and court as being 14th Ammendment persons. Answer is to occupy the people side of the 10th Ammendment . This leads to a people created voting process based on TRUE unalienable right to vote whereby new people rights and antecedent abandoned rights are reserved under the 10th Ammendment and recorded in the public record. Its akin to voting out what govt. votes in . Expansion of people rights reduces govt. rights thus evidencing govt. limitations and constraints. Visulaize mobile 10th Ammendment Grand Juries unleashed upon Wall St.,big banks,big business, and govt. by a Check and Ballance People Oversight Authority over everything. Or serving the right First vote to record is to make the 10th Ammendment all inclusive,irrespective of race,creed,color,religion,sexual orientation, or other. Everyone has a right to be 10th Ammendment people. Those that can't are sposored in. Object is to leave the 14th Ammendment recognition to occupy 10th Ammendment recognition. This inverts the position of people by subjecting govt. back into its TRUE servant capacity. Govt. power needs everyone to be a U.S.citizen. Question what citizenship predates U.S. govt. origin. Founding Fathers never existed in law or fact as U.S. citizens. Nor did they live in democracy. What came before is where the TRUE power of people exists. Even if most learning this subject matter don't change themselves in respect to law,its the fact that one has this knowledge and is threatening to self contract out of the present "New Deal" contract by returning to the Founding "Old Deal' contract. Occupying people side of the 10th Ammendment is what ,both, govt. and business fear most. Its unfortunate that foreign nations abroad limit sovereign recognition of American people to white males born in states. Great Depression led everyone to self contract out of the Republic and into 14th Ammendment Democracy. This means it takes such white males to contract out to get back to their original birth right recognition before the 14th Ammendment legal fiction of law, federal citizen conversion process occured when one's mother self contracted their baby out of the Republic by birth certificate or SSN. Greatest secret withheld from everyone's awareness is that all American govt. documents, govt.s lead everyone to possess or apply for, are ALL 14th AMMENDMENT FEDERAL CITIZEN recognition documents regardless of what American govt. created them. Founding intent as to who and what people are supposed to be is what the "New Deal" is seperating everyone from. Not originally by design,but presently by intent. Govt. of the people,by the people,for the people,today, operates by presumption of law that their are no dejure bonafide people for govt. to serve. There are no 10th Ammendment standing people to reserve any rights. High court in Carol Anne Bond v. United States opened the window to occupy the 10th Ammendment. Doing all aforesaid is a new question of law. One govt. and business don't want answered. Its like existing inside the Constitution and automatically making all govt. oaths and affirmations foreswear,by effect, to uphold and defend what 10th Ammendment standing people reserved as people's new rights. Start chanting "occupy 10th Ammendment's People" and watch govt.s response. Then spread the word and find those willing to become TRUE 10th Ammendment people. Only takes one to embody all the TRUE people if everyone else remains under the 14th Ammendment. High court also says" People have a righ to change their govt." and " Its a DUTY OF THE PEOPLE TO CORRECT THE GOVERNMENT from operating in error."[emphasis mine]. Key to correct is occupying a position of law government is compelled to obey. Occupy never actually unified to become much of a political power. I know they didn't want to get involved in running people for congress and making change through the system. Unfortunately by remaining independent small groups they are now being knocked down one at a time. As each one falls, government forces become more secure that the public in general is indifferent.</p> <p>Occupy encampments have become a row of independent dominos falling one after the other. Each fall encourages another city to take action leading to the next eviction. In a way it allows some folks to pretend (a false security) but it changes nothing - people across the board have really had enough - around the world.</p> <p>Unless poverty and injustice is dealt with, what the occupy movement represents will grow.</p> <p>Whatever form protests take in the future - they will be much bigger and broader than the occupy camps of today. The problems of the 99% have a common problem that has not been framed right.</p> <p>Focusing on the source of the issues and frame them in a way that people understand would help considerably.</p> <p>Virtually every group with a beef or a problem can have their problem traced to a single source. Environmentalist, women s rights, every religious group, the poor, the old - there is a source for the problems we all face. But most look at the symptoms as the problem, this is a mistake.</p> <p>Pardon the pun- but lets face it, most of what the 99% complain about is man made - it is not mysterious or magic - its man made - it is designed - it is also very flawed. One of the biggest criticisms of the Occupy movement is that it hasn't produced a single definitive list of demands. This would put those concerns to rest. It is also providing people like me who has a full-time job and can't just drive to my nearest GA a chance to have my voice heard. By having one event at has been arranged months in advance I have an opportunity to take the time off from work and get my voice out there, no tent required.</p> <p>I hope that good things come from this and Americans Elect. We haven't had a real say in politics for too long now. At the very least I would like to see people with common sense starting to run for office against the corporate-funded Democrats and Republicans. Right now we're choosing between a "lesser of two evils" at the polls every 2 years. Well from someone who has been on this site since the beginning, seen first hand my own Occupy Geneva here, read most of the transcripts of the General Assembly and Spokes Councils among many more, what was stated was not far off balance. While I agree with the anger, the group has mostly been a festival of unmitigated madness and I think that was the point. OWS talked about how sporadic, leaderless, and grassroots it was (no, no, and no it wasn't at all. If it was really any of those things it would have gotten ZERO coverage by the very mass media you wanted to have and yet held disdain for saying anything negative. Can't have it both ways people.) Just because someone said something negative or unflattering about your group doesn't automatically make them some asleep circus worshipper. It was an orchestrated train wreck in order to harness the rage that people were feeling. Its systematic. Its what the very 1% you all claim to hate do. You fell for their own trick. What's the best way to keep the angry at bay? Keep them controlled. Develop a 'revolution', advertise it, spread it, and let the disenchanted masses join in so they all fall under their umbrellas of control. Do you really think the kings allow his serfs to riot? If you all were really rioting whether it be non-violent or not, you would have been cracked down seriously. Don't compare yourself to Egypt or Syria. Those people are dying every day. Their police/army are bombing villages.
